I believe they DO prefer transfer from high to low as I remember reading that doing so if free
Did anyone see a body? I didn’t see a body so I dont beleive he is dead.
Kinda like Mace Windu…no one saw his body. That bad kitten is still alive!!!
Teq ate his spinach lol
Can take a while to get to 30 but not too bad for 10.

go to the link above and input your character name to track your progress and see your rewards. Click below each of the sections to see a more detailed list of your tracking.
then it should be fairly easy. there are many guides you can google to help you along
They will not fix it “soonish”.
“When it’s ready.” is the phrase to remember =P
I have several Lvl 80 alts. Here is what I do:
Use my main and run through all the world bosses as quickly as I can, getting the champ drop, big box and wiggle box. – log out
Log in alt – Run through all the world bosses as quickly as I can, getting the champ drop and big box. – Log out
Log in alt – Run through all the world bosses as quickly as I can, getting the champ drop and big box. – Log out
get the picture? tedious, a a little, but I get stacks of ecto’s rather quickly and about 400+ dragonite a day =D
ya only need 30, no rewards past that point other than titles
Yes
stoopid character limit
“When it’s ready.”
The ArenaNet company motto! =P
Like how many ways do I need to write “keep off the stairs!” at grenth?
You only need to say it once, whoever ignored your first warning won’t pay attention to any other ones anyway.
Yeah, this.
Keep it going chris, because if you just close the thread, you will just be giving those nay-sayers more fuel, right?
Like the ranger issue. You stated that is it being addressed and if those that dont like instant gratification cant accept that, then hat is their issue. But to keep up your end of the bargin, at least make a comment somewhere in a few days or so that it s still being addresses. Maybe a locked forum titled “Areas being reviewed”?
You know something that would be nice, and should be easy to implement would be a developer blog. I know the guy that did SAB attempted something like this, but if each dev of each team took 5 min a day/week to post what they have been doing for the game “behind the scenes” would give players the ability to see that the teams are working hard. It would also give the opportunity to receive feedback from the readers.
Example:
Michael Jordan says, “High folks, I am in charge of removing bots from game, gold sellers and gold buyers. This week we banned 532 accounts for botting, 664 accounts for selling gold, and suspended 2024 accounts for buying gold, while removing over 10,000 gold that was sold. By the way, keep an eye out for bots running in your champion farms as we have discovered quite a few there. Thanks and enjoy the game!”
Blizzard used to give these reports back in the day and when people see that you are actively working on something like this, they too will be less likely to support this industry.
Example:
Don Mattingly says, “Hey guys, I am one of the leads on a living story team. Lately we been working on a new event that an event that is all about recycling those worthless items you been keeping in your bank that have no vendor value. Things like badges, miniature components, tonics and so forth. This way you can get something for those items you collected. We are not sure what yet, but something along the lines of maybe bags, skins, food, who knows! We truly hope it will be something you like.”
One Week Later:
Don Mattingly says, “Hi again guys, my team has been doing a great job with our recycling event. We got the Asuran Recyclers designed and have decided where to place them within the world, that’s right, in the world, not Rata Sum. Now, you may have to do a few missions for them to get them to warm up to you, as much as an Asura can that is, but I think you will find the overall benefits worthwhile.”
I mean, everyone at Anet could do this to keep the community informed about things coming up. Like the precursor making. How many people are upset that it may get pushed into next year when it was said to be by the end of this year? Talking with the players on a regular basis will show us where you stand on different projects. And you don’t have to reveal a lot of stuff, just the basics on what you are attempting to do.
You dont even have to have the blogs receive feedback if that particular dev doesnt want it. Make a post and lock the thread. This would go a long way for players to get an understanding of what is going on, give leads an opportunity to publicly praise their team, and get people excited about what is coming out eventually.
Just a thought.
I really like this villain and would like to see more wallpapers of her!
The hardcore/elite players want this to remain thee same.
The casual payers feel that this is too much to go up against.
Why cant a solution be worked out that works for both groups?
Change the mechanics of the fight to where its just easier. This would upset the hardcores and make the casuals happy. So, not an option.
Increase the timer to 30 min. But if you do this, the hardcores are going to feel that it is too easy while making the casuals. So lets not do this one.
Add a new mechanic. Once Teq’s life bar hits 75%, a bonus 5 minutes is granted. And again, once his life hits 50% and 25%, another 5 minutes can be added to the timer. This method would give a little bit of hope to the casuals whilst retaining the difficulty that the hardcores desire. If you are so elite and hardcore, you wont even need the extra times and will burn him down in 15 minutes anyways right? If you are a casual player, just work your butt off to get him down to the reward tiers and you will also get rewarded with a few more minutes to finish him off.
Is this really such a difficult solution to provide that would keep everyone happy?
Not to be a total jerk here, but maybe just don’t do this event? If you don’t like it?
A lot of people keep saying things like that or “Go away” “Do something else.”
What is gonna happen and has already started is people doing just that. And once enough people have stopped even trying, then those that want to do the event will eventually get hard pressed for enough people to do the event.
Rather than tell people to stop and go away, you should try to encourage them. After 4 tries, I have reached my limit and decided Teq is no longer for me. IF enough people feel the same way as me, then the event will eventually die off.
Encourage, don’t discourage!
== yes ==————-
I am done with it, for now.
I expected it to be hard but not 5% in 15 min hard. I thought it would at least get to 50% on a fail. I will just wait a few weeks and see what happens. Otherwise its a waste of time and silver at the moment.
Tried it and honestly think its way too difficult as the overflow I was in got him down 5% in 15 min. Will NOT be going back to this event for at LEAST a few weeks unless something is done. More turrets or something could help.
well, hopefully for the first two weeks he will spawn a little faster than normal, then after the two week period, slow him back down to normal?
How about that for an alternative farming build?
The link below lists all my traits and what I am looking at for gear. I wanted to have high crit damage and crit chance.

Anet said they didnt want to ruin peoples hard work when it came to gear. Those of us with high magic find being told tough luck totally contradicts that statement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry, but meh. doesnt sound right for me
Note: Let’s make this fun. When contacting me, you will need to say a short sentence. The words of that sentence are hidden in this post in Italics. This way, maybe you will actually read everything. =P
WHAT I WANT:
Looking for an active guild on the Sea of Sorrows server. When I say active, I mean that there are at least 10 people on at any given time of the day. I never know when I am going to be on, and can be for 30 minutes while I rush through dailies, or can be for 12 hours or more.
I don’t really do WvW for several reasons, one being that the rewards are not worth the time, and this being in various aspects. Another is that so much time is wasted just running around the zones just to get ganked by a few enemy players. Not considered fun at all by me.
I will PvP enough to get dailies done, but some day I wont even bother with them as it is something I don’t enjoy very much. If I am on a good team and people aren’t being stupid, then I enjoy it. Skritt
Dungeons/Fraactals I don’t really enjoy. I will do them but as soon as I have died a few times I begin to view it as a waste of my time and resources. The repair bill for the dungeon is more than I am willing to waste as I can make triple that plus the reward in the same amount of time in open world.
Guild Challenges, haven’t done any as the guilds I am in are not large enough to complete these much less get them purchased.
World PvE is where I excel, knowing some of the best farming areas and event zerging paths to maximize. I have even bought my commander icon to help lead these zergs. Anyone that has done event farming in cursed shore should remember me and pupgo, which I still run his event path occasionally when I can get about 10 people together to do them. I even wrote a guidebook on this.
ABOUT ME:
I have played MMOs now for over 11 years and am a Hardcore player. I started with Conquer Online, then, in no particular order, FFXI, WoW, RF Online, LotRO (Life-timer)Vanguard, AoC, CoH/V, Eve, SWTOR, GW1, SWG, STO, PSU, Rift, FEZ, DDO, Neverwinter, Aika, Tera, Wizard 101, Gunz, Diablo 2 & 3, Starcraft 1 & 2, and probably a lot more than I can recall at this moment. My X-fire profile has tracked 16,000 hours of game time played, however, there are many times I didn’t have it loaded and I didn’t get it until about 7 years ago so there is at least another 6 years worth not accounted for. are
I have run many successful guilds, starting with Conquer. the Most successful guild I ran was on WoW and is still one of the top raiding guilds on its server. I also had and was guild lead of several large and successful guilds on LotRO, SWTOR, STO and RF Online. I was officer in at least twice as many guilds, some of which eventually become top guilds of their games.
When I get into a game, I study it hardcore. So when I am not playing, I am either researching the game to learn all I can about it, or thinking about how I can improve my skills within that game. I have been known to sit with a build calculator for hours while out at coffee, making build after build, trying to tweak the stats as much as I can. And then, trying to squeeze out a few more points of a chosen stat.
I have written guides for several games (including GW2) as well as instructional videos and just short machinima films for the fun of it. I have made numerous guild websites, only a few that are still going today.
There can be times where I will be online week after week, yet there will be times that I am gone for a few weeks at a time. I have uncontrollable type 2 diabetes and sometimes it prevents me from being able to play so any guild I join will need to understand this and not just kick me for being inactive. the
MY GW2 EXPERIENCE:
I have 2 accounts, my main account has almost 5.5K AP and my second account has almost 2K AP. I have 3 Lvl 80s on my main acct (Thief, Ele, Guard) and 2 Lvl 80s on my second acct (Mes, Necro) and am currently working on 2 more 80’s (Rng and War).
My Thief has the commanders icon which I use to lead event zergs. On these runs I have about 250% Magic Find while buffed (155% unbuffed) and I net 3-6g and 3K+ karma an hour, along with many collectibles and Trading Post fodder. I also get 3-6 rares an hour with usually 1 exotic. I am almost always willing to run an event zerg provided I have enough people to go.best!
Can represent your guild at least 50%. I have 2 other guilds I am in as I have real life friends in them that I occasionally play with. I also have private guilds for storage purposes. So I will not be representing 100%.
So what I am wanting is a socially strong guild that wants someone who is extremely well versed in PvE. Feel free to whisper me at any time once you know the hidden sentence! =P

First: Not sure if this belongs here or suggestions; as it is more of a general concern, I posted in the general forum. I do not mind if a mod feels this should be else where.
NOTE: This is not a complaint or anything that can be discerned as negative. It is just me trying to explain my concern about the upcoming changes and the hopes that my situation (and those like me) will be taken into account when these changes are made.
I am writing this post to express my concern over the magic find changes that will be forthcoming and wanted to post the views of someone that has an extremely high magic find stat. Attached is a screen shot of my magic find stat WITHOUT any buffs : 149% (includes 3% achievement reward buff).
First let’s focus on something you aid in your July 18th announcement:
Colin Johanson
“We specifically said we don’t want to get caught up in the trap where every 3-6 months the game adds another tier of gear to the game; that invalidates all your hard work and the rewards you’ve earned.”
I have worked very hard for my magic find. All of my gear is exotic Explorer’s gear. I have 1 Superior Traveler’s Rune and 5 Superior Pirate’s Rune in that armor. I have exotic Drakevenom with Superior Luck Sigil. I have 2 Opal Orichalum Earrings of the Explorer, and they, along with my back piece, have Exquisite Opal Jewels. Even my underwater weapon: Exotic Serpentsniper with a Superior Luck Rune.
The part I worked hardest for are my amulet and rings. My amulet is The Golden Lotus, infused with Magical Infusion (Total 50 Laurels). My rings are Yakkington’s Ring and Snaff’s Gyre (Total 70 Laurels).
Even my level 80 alts have high Magic Find stats, albeit they may not be in exotics like my main above, but they have the gear when I decide to play them and use the gear.
So I am concerned that all the hard work I have done may become invalidated with the new change of magic find gear.
I have stockpiled massive amounts of Omnomberry Bars and Dragonfly Cupcakes and am always looking for ways to tweak my Magic Find stat, even if it is just by an additional 1%. I heard Melandru has a back piece that grants 3% Magic Find but doesn’t display in the tool tip and that is my next objective this weekend.
I spend hours every day running events either in Cursed Shore leading a zerg with my Commander’s Icon on (Sole reason I bought this was for event farming in Cursed Shore), or in other zones; hitting up events that have the greatest concentration of enemies (Centaur chain in Hinterlands), or just areas in zones with close groupings of mobs.
If I go into a dungeon/fractal with others, I just simply change my gear to my spare set designed for high damage and survivability so as to not harm my group with my reduced stats. I have no qualms about carrying an extra set of gear, especially when I have over 140 bag slots.
You have said:
Colin Johanson
“In the near future, we’ll detail the system we’ll use to replace the existing magic find items. Our goal will be to have as little disruption as possible to those who currently own items with a magic find stat on them.”
I hope that you will consider those that are like me and stack as much Magic Find as possible when it comes to your new system. I am pretty sure I am not the only one, as I can name at least one other individual on my server, the one I learned the Cursed Shore event farming from.
Now, even through all the changes the game has gone through, I haven’t complained. Gotten ripped off from RNG boxes; my own fault. However, this has me a bit worried and I know I will be upset should the changes not be comparable to what I have currently invested my time to achieve through hours of hard work.
However, no matter the changes, I WILL continue to play this game for as long as it lasts. I have played GW1 since release. I have played GW2 since beta, pre-ordered the game as soon as it was available for pre-order, and have spent over 2000 hours between TWO accounts. I have faithfully bought gems whenever my budget would allow. I may dabble in other games for a week or two occasionally, but always come back to GW2 to spend 8+ hours a day in Tyria.
Thanks for listening to my concerns and am looking forward to what you come up with! I just hope to hear soon, but making the most of my MF gear now while I can just in case.
dont get me wrong – I love this game. I just get weird humorous ideas (at least to me) at 3am in the morning.
Here is the link to the video on youtube
I just want to know why a new tree wasnt just added for events only??? All you gotta do to balance it would be to make thiings cost a bit more influence.
I just took over a struggling guild because the leaders had some real life issues come up and arent able to devote the time to play. We also have 90 members, which only about 20% even log in any more. Of that 20%, half of them are repping the larger guilds that already unlocked their missions.
This was NOT a fair and balanced way for these missions to be introduced.
As to aligning with other small guilds to take turns and complete missions, thats all well and good except for two things – how can these smaller guilds even unlock the stuff. Its insane! I mean we had Politics, Architecture and Economy maxed out, but no one in our guild really devoted time to WvW so it was never developed. How is that fair to us a a whole? Also, there is no alliance option with other guild that gw1 had, so do you realize how difficult it will be to organize events?
Serious guys, where’s your heads? Not every guild in this game is a powerhouse of 500 members, and that seem s to be how you planned this whole thing out. I was excited when I learned about these events, and now, they seem to be nothing more than a chore.
So with that note, back to farming cursed shore for about 4 weeks straight to buy enough influence to maybe unlock one event. Thanks for the grind in a game that was not to be about grinding!
Yeah, Pupgo is extremely lucky at drops. I honestly think he knows someone at Anet =P
best time to catch me is when my health allows lol – sometimes I just dont have it in me to run the events.
running either the north circuit or the south circuit, you are looking at about 3-4000 karma per hour without any type of karma buff. Check out the youtube video above for more details
no there has been no changes.
Its actually not very monotonous at all as the event chain comprises of 2 main paths as well as various optional ones you can do in order to change things up. I put together a guide for these event circuits. Either check out my facebook page in my signature or check out the youtube below
video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsfAi1Qo5bU&feature=share&list=UU9N7mHbJpyhw6mR26Qe25kQ
I assumed it would be safe as Anet allowed it to be posted here.
Also, my timers arent counting down. Ideas?
EDIT: Okay – what I did to fix the issue was turn off all my notifiers and then turned them all back on and it started the countdowns again.
May want to look into this in your next release. Also advertised it a few times in map chat. People seem to like the idea of not having to alt tab =D
(edited by lordozone.9167)
I would love to see a source that had timers for many other events, such as the temples in Orr, Plinx, Tar in R&D, Meg, Gladiator, Rakkan and much more. I beleive Plinx is on a 45 min timer, but not 100% sure.
I just hate seeing a great zone go to waste like this.
And lastly, there are a lot of items from this zone that have very specific uses and if you don’t have a use for them, they are either vendored or posted on the Trading Post. I would like to see another use for them, perhaps NPCs that you can turn items in to and get various rewards. Rewards like the Laurel vendors, but nothing as great as Ascended items. Perhaps crafting kits, class gear, dyes, pets, skins, etc…
Just a thought.
So in conclusion, I really hope that a development team will take this post seriously. If you guys cant get the go-ahead from the higher ups to use company time to develop it, maybe it could be arranged to work on it in your off hours? I know THAT is asking a lot, but if you love this zone and hate to see it wasting away, maybe a few of you can get together and do something to show the powers that be that something great can be done with it.
Thank you for your time!

Not sure if this should be here or in the events forum, but since it is more suggestion-based rather than current events, I thought it best to put it here.
Southsun Cove is a beautiful place, and it is such a shame that this place is going to waste. The other night we tried to get an event zerg going here and it was a complete waste of time for several reasons.
The first reason is that the Veterans there are comparable to Champions elsewhere in the world, and these need to be fine-tuned. I can understand how they are so tough with their shells, but once that shell is dropped, they should be a piece of cake. I suggest that the shell version have its hit points reduced by 25%, and when unshelled, reduce the hit points by 60%. Reason I say this is that a group of us (10-15 people) had a hard time with one, and in another fight with 2 of them we wiped and left the zone, essentially giving up on it.
The second reason is that the events are so far spaced out that it is so time consuming just going from one to another, not to mention hazardous. This zone is just crying for more events so that people have things to do here and can not only be a fun place, but a place that is worth spending time in. Otherwise everyone will just remain in Frostgorge or Cursed Shore.
Southsun Cove is SCREAMING for a make-over and I really hope you guys will look at this post and consider what I have provided. I don’t expect it to be exactly as I posted, but maybe this will provide some inspiration to get a team to work on it. This is a great zone with lots of potential, but it is nothing more than a zone that is almost empty all of the time. By re-vamping this zone, maybe more people will return to it rather than being a waste of data.
I have a couple questions for you pupgo:
1. How often do you run this to earn that much gold per day?
2. Can I join you haha?
1. I know PupGo makes more than me, but I typically run about 4 hours a night, sometimes an additional 4 hours in the after noon. So basically as little as 4 hours to as many as 12 hours a day I will run this circuit. Sometimes, I will start after dinner and run until about 12 or 1am server time. Just depends on my day and mood.
2. Sure. If you’re not on SoS, come guest with us. Just look for our commander icons in CS, if we are running, they will be up. Same for you Neodome. Come guest with us. Afternoon runs are hit or miss, but evenings it pretty much goes down. As for mornings, I spend that time alting =D
Oh, and lets not forget that we hit up the temples in Malchors sometimes (Lyssa and Dwayna). Dont ask about Grenth – we are boycotting it =p
(edited by lordozone.9167)
I had an idea when someone mentioned player housing is supposed to be coming soon.
It is my hope that if this system is indeed coming, that they dont make a large gold requirement for it. For housing, the perfect requirements for it that I thougt of would help the economy.
Depending on quality of house, a player could be required to “spend” stacks of various woods and ores. That hopefully will get some of the mass bulk of these out of the TP and raise the values of them. As it is, I dont gather wood anymore, except ancient, as it is worthless. By making this a requirement to get your house, people will start buying it out of the TP and therefore we get it to a reasonable price that makes it worthwhile to gather and sell
just my 2 copper
yeah, when the scavenger hunt system comes out, T6 mats may be effected. It all really depends on how attractive the scavenger hunt becomes and if people actually do it. The more people that want to do it, the more people that will be making legendaries which means everything else needed will rise in price while precursors go down in price.
Once Anet reveals this scavenger hunt and what it entails, I will make my decision then if I want to stock up on the other legendary requirements.
I also think there may be a new batch of players joining the game so things that new players want might see a slight increase in prices, like bags. I think the 18-slot bags will see the biggest increase of them all. The only difference between 20- and 18-slot bags atm is 10g. the extra 2 spaces is irrelevant when you have 4x 18-slots, therefore more of these will probably sell. I can see the prices of them hitting anywhere from 3-5g.
Also, another think I am debating is converting all my gold to gems before summer arrives. I see the value of the gem increasing by summer (especially at the 1yr anniversary) and being able to sell those gems back should yield profit. I made profit in the winter event, having converted for a large bulk of gems in early November.
Just my 2 copper.
(edited by lordozone.9167)
On my main acct I just been stock-piling them in the event I am ever able to make Bifrost for my 80 Ele alt. On my second account I been selling them, even turn in my laurels to get 10 to sell as the current market price kinda makes you.
ummm, with 150g you can buy a lot of friends =P
Just kidding, but seriously – Have you upgraded your bags? do you have 2 sets of armor (one for dungeons(and etc) and one with lots of MF)? How are your alts doing? How are your crafting skills?
I am sure there is more, thats just off the top of my head.
Pupgo and I have tried SSC to see if we could turn it into a profitable event chain like he has discovered with CS. Alas, we could not for various reason.
The Veteran Karka’s are just flat out killers
There are not many events
The events that are there are too far apart
To bring people back to SSC, there is gonna have to be a reason other than farming the island in the south-west for exotic drops. There needs to be more events, and small ones – quick ones. It needs to have as much potential as CS in order to be worth the time and effort.
I think we had a group of 10 and those veterans that the patrols decide they have to encounter are just too tough – especially when 2 of them jump you. If you dont have a very large event zerg going, its just going to be a repair nightmare.
Attached is the event chain map I was going to try but it just isnt feasible – which is rather sad.
What I am hoping is that the daily screen will list all of them and you dont have to choose per se, but just accomplish the required amount.
this way you can just play as normal and all of them are getting credit until you finish the required amount for completion.
This chain usually takes us roughly 45 minutes to make a complete loop, which is about the plinx respawn timer.
ALSO: as Pup stated, we hit the Shark/Pirate/Meg to the far south and get the chest where Rotbeard is at. Also make quick trip to get the chest west of R&D near the statue. There are also 2 chests you can grab east of the Champ Abomination.
EDIT: And if you are joining us, if you dont see Pup running the circuit, I usually will be running it too.
I been running these with pupgo for a bit over a week. In that time I was able to get my own commander tag and lead people in the same path. I have made more cash from these runs than I ever did with the camps.
I especially love rakkan, (fish guts/carry stinkies) as there are SO many mobs in which to loot.
Just need to up my MF a little more and I feel I will do better. Thats next after I upgrade bags to carry more stuffs.
You rock Pupgo!
I know right. People have been complaining left and right. certainly a lot eaier than the months with WvW kills and such.
