people keep saying 3 years 3 years, but not everyone play this game all 3 years, player can cut the subscription if they want a break

beside that, this game has gem store

I think that the content of HoT not worth $60 for players with core game

Agree, I think the mastery system is genius. One may dislike the time needed to get them but dont forget these are account bond.

Actually I don’t like getting mastery point, but level them up is fine to me

Grinding out bran dead exp certainly is a kind of accomplishment.

I mean, you level up mastery you can travel HoT more easier, etc you will glide faster, access secret passage, its more “meaningful” than grind for armors

well honestly I will pre-order up coming expansion

I pre-ordered HoT my local game store without googling anything, and comes out I feel frustrated with the new maps/guild hall/mastery points (grind xp is okay to me but kitten mastery points), but there is still some good things like new spec and new class.

I hope they will set things right again, maybe after the pro league season 1 they will have free times on fixing the game.

just like what ShadowCatz said, Corruption lets you apply Torment when you crit (33% chance), and apply Poison when you apply Torment, and also a chance to apply Chill when crit too, so I think Precision is the key to build Condi Revenant.

As Revenant don’t have much option on condition, and to increase the outgoing damage also not wasted the crit chance I have, I invested some to Power.

I chose Axe as offhand weapon to max the condi dmg I can dash out, but HoT is fxxking danger without shield, Herald’s last trait Soothing Bastion saved my @ss most of the time.

This is not the best condi build, but I quite enjoy this one.

I know that feel bro. I have both 80 Guardian and Thief (and Revenant), on HoT map Guardian with longbow just like easy mode, but Thief? Lose half of the health (I got 24xx armor and 16xxx HP) when open fight, lose another half after some root/stun. Thief just… no matter youre berserker build or mix with soldier/knight, Thief just sxxks.

Hi I’m a return player, I have my Guardian 80 before I quit, and now I have Revenant 80 too. I started to dust off my Guardian today and found that some Elite Skills are changed.

I can’t remember clearly but I’m quite sure that I have a Elite Skill that holding a book and my 1-5 skills are changed, has Anet removed it? Anywhere I could check back those removed Elite Skills?

On the other hand, which Elite Skills prefer now? Signet of Courage seems powerful, is healing worth anything in todays GW2?

OP I’m with you. I’m a return player and feel very frustrate with the new map\events.

I bought HoT because of the Revenant and the Truly Lonely Archer (yes f__k pets). I wish to enjoy the new map with Revenant so I rushed him to 80. When leveling Revenant I do some Halloween event and gain some golds, equipped him with full exotic gears, and bought some skins for him too!

But once I stepped in Verdant Brink, try to collect Mastery/Hero Points, and do those events on the map, I lost all my interest to play. I quite enjoy the battle in the new map, mobs are strong and challenging and this encourage me to unlock Elite Spec faster, however, I hardy earn anything.

ANET dev turn this game into a 3D Mario Bros with poor “terrain engine”, some place just too weird that you couldn’t jump on, and thats why I hate those Jumping Puzzle in core. I love Mario Bros in 2D not 3D, and I’m suppose to play an action oriented mmorpg not 3D Mario Bros.

Now, I started to login the game and quit just for the login bonus. When I press M to browse the world map, every Mastery/Hero Points are upper or lower of your current place, I hate the new map so much.
