Hey guys I would like to get some ideas of what build I should run in WvW.

0/0/0/2/0 is set cause I’m the all time favorite Veil bot. After I set Veil I can do whatever I please as long as I don’t die. It would be even better if I was able to harass enemy back lines.

Would be nice if anyone got some ideas

Hey everyone I started to play sPvP a few days ago. Only tried hotjoin so far to learn a bit. Problem is I still don’t get what I am supposed to be doing. I just keep running between two capture points or sometimes a capture point and some objective like the Skyhammer or the Trebuchets, where I ambush enemies, capture points or defend them if necessary.
Some of the enemies and allies seem to know what they are doing though (you can spot newcomers like me immediatly) and have optimized builds for what they are doing. Those are the rounds where my team is struggling to even get some points and I don’t know what to do in those situations.

So all help would be appreciated

It will be totally op for 1v1 scenarios but probably not in group fights.

1v1 pistol offhand, power lock, signet of domination, cry of frustration and you can shut down all the skills. Add moa morph for extra fun.

EDIT: It will probably have cooldown though. And not a minor one at that.

Why not create obedient minions from the start?

I didn’t mean the creation process itself as you can see. Why wouldn’t Mordremoth bypass the trouble of corrupting them?

If it takes effort to create Sylvari, so would Destroyers, Risen, Icebrood, etc

In my opinion it does take effort to create those. It is a necessity for the dragons to do so. But as you know those are guaranteed minions.

As you believe Mordremoth creates trees that spawn tree people. But unlike the other dragons those tree people are not its minions. It still needs to corrupt them.

One can argue that The Dream cuts the Sylvari off of their true purpose in being Mordremoth’s minions. Yet why are the Sylvari intelligent. The Dream can not be the reason because Malyck is not connected with it but still possesses a personality. Where is the sense in creating intelligent life to just take this advantage away by corrupting it.

The problem I have with your theory is, why would an Elder Dragon go through the effort consuming action of creating intelligent life, just to break their will and corrupt them. Why not create obedient minions from the start. Primordus does the same while all the others don’t even bother with spawning their own minions (though I don’t know if that is true, because the Claw of Jormag and The Shatterer look pretty artificial).

Also for the part that Malyck is not under Mordremoth’s influence because he drifted away. Why would Scarlet get under its influence in the first place if the range was to short. We already know that dragons can corrupt and influence while being thousands of miles away. I don’t think you can apply something like distance here.

Phantasms are something distinguishing mesmers from other professions. AoE skill with pink delivery boy animation is just another AoE skill.

And if you want to play a profession with heavy AoE roll an Elementalist.

Most of the interesting stuff got mentioned already but I have two.

What happened to Malyck? His people just got a new neighbour. And presumably they won’t happen to be on friendly terms.

Where is Faolain? She dissappeared after Twilight Arbor. What was her opinion on Scarlet using the nightmare court? And more over what happened between her and Caithe? Is it something of interest that Ceara knew of?

I don’t believe in the Sylvari being dragon minions. But the corruptability without magical defenses should be given since they are plants and we are still assuming that Mordremoth is corrupting plants.

This is based on the theory that the Dream makes sylvari immune for corruption.

We’ll get the answer when Mordremoth finds Malyck’s tree. Which should take no time.

Also could it be that Scarlet’s nightmare about the Pale Tree was not intended to be about the one standing in The Grove but the one Malyck originates from?

I don’t know the definition of being corrupted.

But isn’t being influenced by a dragon the same as being corrupted?

About the range. Kokittenve examples that it is very high. Why would the dragons need to move away from the location of their awakening at all? Jormag is moving south and Kralkatorrik flew into the crystal desert, while Primordus is creating tunnels.

How high is the range of influence of an Elder Dragon. By this I mean how far can it send its minions and still be able to control them.

Scarlet traveled over huge parts of Kryta and the Shiverpeaks and as we now know one of Mordremoth’s champions. Mordremoth itself though awakens somewhere in the Magus Falls. A lot of distance and the dragon was only sleeping while controling her.

At the end of the assault Kiel, Magnus, Canach and some other Sylvari make their exit via an airship. That to me looked pretty much exactly like an Aetherblade ship.

Evon who is stationed at the Vigil keep gets against his will promoted into the Lionguard. He asks on whose orders and the answer is it was Kiel. He wants to know about her whereabouts and the Asura officier tells him she is in a camp to the south with Magnus.

But she must have gone lost on her way over that mountainside. Because she is not.

If you wish to argue that Summoned Husks are Elder Dragon minions, you will inevitably also have to argue that Nightmare sylvari are Elder Dragon minions.

I think someone argued against this at some point. The reasoning was that the Svanir are also able to spread Dragon Corruption but are no minions of Jormag as long as they are no Icebrood. Like the Sons of Svanir the Nightmare Court knowingly or unknowingly (we don’t know) create Mordremoth’s minions.
