I have a phenom II x6 at 3.5Ghz and a 7970 Ghz and only in queensdale my fps drop as low as 35. Running windows 7 Sp1 64 bits and 6 gb ram

I quote a comment from another forum: "D3D9 Overlay has nothing to do with your graphics card being able to run DX9 games properly.

It’s for overlays, ones like Steam and Xfire use. Where you have a menu pop up in game that lets you do stuff without alt-tabbing." I’ll be trying older drivers and see if it works better

I reinstalled directx 9 runtimes but the dxdiag report still says not supported!!! and stormcrow i dont even have an the appdata folder, to delete the loca.dat

I leave you the dxdiag.txt i’m deleting the local.dat and also monitoring my cpu, I’ll let you know the results, thanks guys

no changes, i think im giving up on the game now u.u

Double yes and fps HAVE improved in other games like bf3 and crysis 3 A LOT

1 question. Yes indeed today i formatted my computer and installed the latest beta drivers
2 yes, the card is in the x16 slot
3 in game settings on auto but fps dont change much even though i’ve played with them

Well I recently upgraded my old 6870 2 gb to a 7970 3 gb black edition from xfx. With the old card i had a decent 60 fps in PvE and 30-45 in places like lions arch, and gpu usage was at 100% or 90 something. Now that i have my new gpu i cant get it to pass 45% and y get crappy fps dropping to 20 sometimes.

I have 6 gb ram and a 1055t x6 phenom oc to 3.5 GHz
All i can think of is the processor but it wouldnt explain why i had better fps with my previous gpu. Thanks in advance

Hello everyone, first of all i gotta say i live in Argentina, i play with 60+ fps (idk if that matters), my conexion goes from 350kbytes/s to 400 (download speed). We don’t have much of a choice here, i’m afraid. Either way I’ m having like 400-500 ms ping all the time, checked with resources monitor is there something i can do? is it my internet speed? is it the distance from the server? I left the game and started playing again, and i don’t remember having such lag before, thanks for your answers, regards and sorry for my bad english

I guess directx 11 must be in their schedule

It would be really nice if a member of arenanet answers the topic, at least to say ‘Hey! we haven’t forgotten this!’ or just to say they are working on it

thats right, modern gpus perform a lot better with directx 11

Directx 11 increase performance quite a lot in video cards that can run it, it would pretty much for sure. If you have a relatively “new” video card, this one most likely is optimized to use directx 11 and it is supposed to work with it

i’ve played aion, wow and regnum online (not very popular but good graphics) and they work quite well >.< so there’s nothing i can do?

If there is almost nothing going on, i get 60 fps, but in the cities or even a big battle i get… 45-30 and (i get 50 or more fps constantly in bf3) I find that the problem are not the fps themselves, the camera, when you turn it, its elastic, slow, i dont know how to describe it but it gives me serious headaches i just want to know what can i do and if it is my computer, the lack of directx 11 support.. idk (drivers are updated)

well the thing is that, the fps drop SOMETIMES when i turn the camera around, I have 45-60 90% of the time, but sometimes i turn the camera and it drops to 35, but if i turn it again to the same place it doesnt do it, and even if the fps dont drop i feel like the camera movement is slow, elastic, artificial i dont know if i’m crazy or someone else happens to feel that way, any idea? sinc. v enabled

Thx anyways mate, i will update the driver, the issue with phenom is supossed to be fix isnt it?

oh and i get like 25 fps the lowest

i wont install the english version since im spanish speaker, i use everything on max excepting shadows, and the options below, high res textures and textures filter. if i disable fxaa there is ABSOLUTELY no change, same fps, if i put max settings i have like 5 fps less than if i put lowest settings, and other thing, my cpu usage never exceeds 40%

It really goes like crap, i have to be alone so it can go at 60 fps, i go to divinity’s reach, and on its most graphicly demanding part, i get from 28 to 38 fps, i dont know if this is normal with these PC aspects:

Is it because the game doesnt support dx 11 or is this normal? sometimes i get very low fps and it is just frustrating, thx for answering guys and sorry for my bad english, eng is not my first language
