I run scepter/torch too and I use the torch as close combat protection.
I hit most mobs at range with the scepter and once they close in with me, torch #4 gives them a good roast, if they’re not dead by then, torch #5 will finish them off. If they decide to stay ranged, I’ll use torch #4 second ability and set them on fire.
Yeah, Kessex Hills too, the statues really remind me of the Giant Statues in LOTR.
On my first trip to southsun cove,
“Lol, drakes ? I can take on 3 of them at a go…..”
In Orr, so many times when trying to complete a skillpoint,
“I think I can sneak past the mobs and do a ninja commune….”
After reading on the forum that some players got beaten by toy ventaris,
“Lol, these players must be lame, wait till I get up close with these toy ventaris….”
I’m not sure if this is the same for other races, but i’ve gotten 2 pieces of human T3 cultural armor so far and the no. of color slots are just miserable.
I got the Protector’s Gauntlets a while ago, and was a bit disappointed that it had only 2 color slots. The 2nd color slot was for underarm straps which were hardly noticeable and therefore had almost no effect at all, so the Gauntlets had in reality only 1 color option.
Anyway, I decided to get the Protector’s Footgear yesterday because I liked the design and guess what, it had the grand total of only 1 color slot !!!???
Come on Anet……this the most expensive armor in-game ! That’s 12 gold a piece, you would have thought that a little more work would be put in for the skin. I’m not even asking for extra, but even the low level armor pieces commonly have 3 color slots…..this is just so disappointing. Really Anet, with the really beautiful pieces of work that you’ve put in for the rest of Tyria, this is just plain lazy
Please consider selling a version of the Nobleman’s Heavy Armor without battle-damage, like the one being worn the merchant selling it, Seraph Outfitter Eva.
Currently this is the only heavy armor set with battle damage and although some people might feel that wearing armor with battle damage adds character, I think a lot of us mix-n-match our armor pieces, so it looks very odd when all other pieces look nice and shiny but one or two pieces look worn and damaged.
