Will we have time after its fixed to do it before Tixx moves on to the next city? I dont feel like doing it while it bugged and ending up getting nothing out of it.

Why isn’t everyone’s health in the jump puzzle the same? It should be locked to a certain amount that everyone gets so no one person has an unfair advantage.

I wanted to say thank you as well. After the Halloween event and trying so hard to get the greatsword skin, its nice to see that skins can now be purchased for gems. Please do this for future events as well and I will be glad to spend money on them.

There is a flaw in that. Those that still manage to get lucky and get it….still make hundreds of gold in one day!

If they do do this, the quest chain would either have to be very long and hard, or have a large monetary input, or both. If not, then precursors would be nearly worthless.

They shouldn’t be worth anything in the first place. The challenge should be getting all the other materials needed to make the weapon. Not needing to have 300+ gold to buy a weapon to make one.

The event starts at 12 PST. What time does it run until? Do I have to be there at 12 in order to get the special reward at the end or can I show up when I get home (If its still going) and get the reward.

It would be very helpful to know how long this chain will last and if I will be able to get the item if I show up for lets say…the last part?

That battle was in no way awesome. Jump around and smack an enemy. What is awesome about that? Nothing stood out and nothing was special. For all the hype there was behind this, the event failed to deliver.

I had been praying that the reward might have been the option to pick one of the skins in soulbound on acquire form, but once again Anet proves that they dont care about us.

Plain and simple feedback: If you’d simply offered the nice halloween skins as cash shop items “available for a limited time only during the Halloween event”, you’d have made a lot more revenue than with your current gambling ripoff scheme with the Black Lion chests.

I won’t pay a red cent for Black Lion Chest keys. Not before; not now; not ever. I’m not adverse to throwing money at Anet for a great game, but NEVER for a crappy gambling chance at some random stuff, most of which is worthless to me. The chests in general are a terrible idea and a terrible mechanic.

However, I have thrown lots of cash shop money at you for other things. Useful things. Nice things. Things I can use and that I want. Skins, bank/inventory upgrades, Fine transmute stones, etc. If you’d put up a permanent field banker or field BL rep or field merchant, I’d buy it in a hot minute. But only being a possible rare drop from a BL chest? Never. Never ever ever. Would I buy minis from the cash shop if they weren’t totally random chance packs? You betcha. Probably quite a few. But right now, I’ll never buy a mini pack, not ever.

Will I buy the Mad King or Witch skins before the event is over? You betcha. No problem. Here: take my money! Thank you for a great game!

But those kitten chests? Kitten that kitten kitten kitten ripoff kitten. ^.^

I would gladly pay to buy one at this point from the gem store.

What you “expect” or think you “deserve” to get out of the chests is irrelevant. At no point did Anet give any expectations as to the drop rate of the items in the chest, nor did they force you to open any chests.

You made a conscious decision to buy keys, based on whatever preconceived notions you had concerning the drop rate of items, which ultimately ended up being far removed from reality.

It’s your own fault for making assumptions and impulsively acting on it, especially if doing so was outside of what you could reasonably afford.

Finally. Someone intelligent.

This isnt a lottery. This is a game that has a community that the devs do their best to keep happy with content. Making something impossible to get during a fun event, make people unhappy. Stop using that as an example because it pointless.

There has been no post saying there will be maintenance. You realize all of the game is instanced? All the maintenance could be done and they switch it over. I would refrain from saying it before we actually know.

On the page that talks about the mad king, this is mentioned.

“The Black Lion Chest is getting a spooky upgrade for Halloween. Between October 23 and November 5 each Black Lion Chest you open has a chance to give you one of six exclusive Halloween-themed weapon skins!”

Now…does that include chests we already have, or chests that drop on the 23rd until the 5th?

Figure I might as well get in on this. Started collecting the mats to get this and I would love to have the precursor. That would save soooo much time!

There are no in game GM’s. They cant go in game to monitor them.

Yeah I know about that. I just find it so unfair that I have to spend my time trying to collect materials to sell to make a few gold a day and they have this bot going that has been farming for days. That is just completely unfair.

I don’t even know if this is where I should post it but I want to know what people think. I have been farming the Arctodus for a few days now for a couple of hours. As I have been doing this I have noticed one person that follows the exact same path, uses the exact same moves and is just plain slow to do anything.

Now obviously I can tell this is a bot and I am sure many others can as well. I mean I saw them yesterday, in the same spot all day and before I logged off at night. I log on today and they are doing the exact same thing. There is no way someone can sit there for upwards of 24 hours unless there is a person with a whip, there is a group of people switching off when the person playing dies.

So the question remains, why isnt there a better system removing the botted accounts? Any GM can view this person and see that they are just botting it up.
