Guild Wars 2

Hey guys. So I haven’t really played since launch, and back then all I did was sPVP and tournaments with RL friends, and did not really experience pve nor WvWvW.

Recently I rolled a fresh character*elementalist* and unlike in other Mmo’s, I am having a hard time adapting to the different levelling experience. I want to experience WvW and pve, but the pacing feels rather slow in this game. I do events and every heart I come across, yet I always feel 1 level below the zone MINIMUM And unlike other games, the mobs just 1 lvl above you feel like they over power you….. Maybe it is my gear and maybe I should buy some things from the trading post?? Idk…

How do you guys recommend I level at a fast pace without spending money on boosts? I hear I can do WvW at low levels but hear I really can’t hold my own til high level anyways. I have one free LVL 20 token I can use, but outside of that, I could use a bump in the right direction in terms of how to level.

That is really unfortunate and kind of absurd. Because even if they game doesn’t take FULL advantage or higher end cards, the cpu clock I have is higher and is much faster than the Phenom was. To see a performance decline is kind of silly.

Anyways, I will take a gander at that post you mention to see if anything helps. If not, it kind of sucks that they actually may be losing some player base from something that should be ironed out by now.

So I came back last night from a long break away from GW2. I used to play @ launch for awhile on a phenom 955 BE and a 560ti just about flawlessly. Recently I upgraded to a AMD FX 8320 @ 4.5ghz and a Geforce GTX 760 oc, which on paper is a pretty massive upgrade. However, I logged in last night and right away noticed low FPS, into the teens and 20’s in even fresh starting areas. Now I refuse to play this game @ low settings as this upgrade would have been for nothing if I do.

Are there any fps fixes out here on the forums? Or anything that has been found to improve performance for people with higher end pc’s? I keep being haunted with fps issues in games I want to play when I upgrade my pc…sigh.

Im a rrturning player and I am having the same exact issue. I used to play on an older setup at launch perfectly and now that I upgraded from a 560ti to a new gpu(gtx 760) and phenom 955 cpu to a (fx 8320 @ 4.5ghz) Not sure what to do.. I was excited to play again but feel like moving on already.

So as the title mentions I have been away from the game for quite some time and at the moment I am downloading it once again. Back when I played, I spent my time doing sPVP and tournaments with friends, however none of the, play any longer. So here is to the question I had.. I played on Maguuma before.. is this server still good and populated? I’m looking for a HIGH pop server with a good reputation. I want to have competitive pvp whether I group or solo, and enjoy some pve on the side. Also, is there a lot more to do now? I hear there are some World vs World things in the works and that they now add pve content every 2 weeks?

Last weekend I began to experience crazy combat delay lag for 3 days straight, and it lasted pretty much 6 + hours a day when I was online. This combat delay would vary from 3-10 seconds(yes that severe) and people would warp around on my screen.
Well tonight, it has returned again, and once again I cannot run spvp with friends due to this. All other games run fine, and I do not lag on anything else but GW.
Just wondering if there have been any minor hot fixes for this and if they are aware of this? Weekend 2 of pvp is about to go down the drain for me, fun…
