Just populate every map with swarms of those mushroom mobs. So much that you can’t see the ground. Maybe add invisible pocket raptors that spawn when you’re hit by mushroom aoe. That should do it.

My least favorite part of MMOs is how they have these unique classes/jobs and they don’t explain literally any of it. you’re a necromancer? Cool, you steal the souls of the dead. No one seems to care or really notice that you do this, but when a dragon does it its a HUGE DEAL. Then suddenly you learn to use a greatsword. Okay, not a big deal for you I guess.

The NPCs (that if you didn’t participate in season 1 and just magically appear as part of the story) have a better back story than you. Even better, the little pieces of backstory about your character are finished a few hours into the game. Plus any remaining character development you can control (personality) was removed.

You appear out of nowhere, kill great evil, and that’s it. I’ll give anet credit. It’s not as bad as with WoW where you literally appear fully grown out of nowhere and routinely murder world-threatening creatures only to be completely disconnected and unacknowledged in the story. But at this point that’s exactly where characters are heading. I don’t have a home, I don’t have any side stories, I have friends I’VE NEVER MET BEFORE.

I guess to sum it up my problem with it is that you as a character aren’t the focus and that sucks. There was some of that in the beginning, now there is hardly any. Ex: Charr can save their father/friend and never see them again. Why not? Isn’t that a little side thing worth pursuing or mentioning?

Forum: we forced Anet to nerf elite spec unlock, we forced Anet to nerf hero challanges and we forced Anet to nerf mastery gate. Now let’s just complain until Anet nerf the difficulty.

I’m going to predict the reaper nerf

-reapers will have damage nerfed by 50%
-greatswords equipped by the reaper will now scale to look like and function as daggers
-minions summoned by the reaper will now automatically attack the reaper until an SMS security code is inputed
-life force is removed, all reaper shroud abilities siphon your health
-life steal by the reaper reduced 100%
-all reapers now look like flesh golem

PSA: Flesh Golem is awesome now.

I’m running minions while I unlock reaper. I use the talent that stacks toughness with more minions. Now even those little bone fiends that explode survive boss fights. On top of that I’m just about unkillable as long as flesh golem is up. I run staff alt so if run into trouble I can root with shadowfiend, run out and trap up while gaining back shroud to jump back in.
