Ok, thank you all for the comments, and not actually flaming me I would like to clarify though.

On the loot, I simply mean that it would be nice to have “level oriented” loot. It may be mostly this way now, but for example: Queensdale mobs only drop loot oriented for THAT level range, etc, all the way up to Or level zones. This would also keep the 80s more focused on the zones that they can actually get 80 stuff from and not just zerging the low level zones.

As far as the bosses are concerned. I just feel that maybe the loot seems a bit insignificant for the amount of time it takes, not work, but time, to kill the bosses themselves. I have done Jormag and KQ tons of times, and I think I MAY have gotten something orange and useful like twice. I agree that most of it is designed to be vendor fodder, or so it would definitely seem. Just seems a waste to do a world boss and get your ordinary blue/green item moreso than not.

And Bloodstealer, I don’t understand what you mean about WvW being more PVE format. I have tried numerous times to just run around and get my POIs, Vistas and stuff that I CAN get, that isn’t locked inside of an enemy castle, only to get ganked by a zerg. That is totally NOT PVE. That is nothing short of PVP. Period. If they wanted it to be PVE format, they would let you “flag” on or off of PVP status, for those of us that are just simply trying to get our Map Complete and don’t want anything to do with PVP.

And yes, the dailies are horrid now. Ok, so the PVP tab is ONLY PVP stuff. IF you like PVP, then ANY of those dailies are good for you. The WVW tab, same thing. If you do WVW, then you can clearly get ANY of those dailies. BUT, the PVE tab includes fractals a majority of the time, leaving the normal PVE player 1 or 2 short of being able to complete dailies WITHOUT having to do PVP or WVW (PVP). So yes, there need to be more dailies focused entirely on PVE and NOT including group stuff.

But anyway, Yeah, I just thought I would post on these things, and see what others had to say also, or if it was just me

First of all, let me start by saying that there are many good things going for this game. I love the graphics, I love the UI, and a lot of the content. It seems rounded as far as all of that is concerned. There are other things, but I would just like to voice about some issues that I feel need improved upon for a broader player base.

1. LOOT – There doesn’t seem to be any kind of specific loot table implemented as of yet. An example would be that from what I have heard, you can obtain a precursor to a legendary weapon pretty much from ANY mob. Rare as that could be, it IS possible..Doesn’t that make the higher level fights and boss loot just a bit trivial? I mean if there is no better chance to find epic loot on a boss fight, rather than fighting level 2 mobs until your face turns blue, then why bother with the harder fights.

2. BOSS LOOT – As stated above, I have personally fought boss after boss. World bosses included. I VERY SELDOM find even as much as an orange item on them. When I DO happen to find an orange item, it is a chest, and upon opening IT, all I get are blues and sometimes greens. Ok, what is the point of teasing us with an orange chest, if it normally contains blues and greens. There is nothing I hate more than actually seeing an orange item appear in my pack, getting all excited, just to open it and find a BLUE. Yipppeeee….

3. MAP COMPLETE – Ok, this is very annoying to me, and I am sure to a lot of others too. Not everyone can PVP or even enjoys it. I am sure that Im not the only one that simply does not enjoy that playstyle. That being said, why is it, that GW2 basically MAKES you PVP in order to even possibly see a legendary at some point in your life? What does the PVP areas have to do with world complete? They shouldn’t. EVERY other POI, Vista, Waypoint and anything else needed for Map Complete is easily obtainable by ANYONE solo. So why make the last whatever percent a PVP MUST? Not only that, but you CANT do the PVP areas solo. Depending on your status with wins/losses, some of those points are just IMPOSSIBLE to obtain unless you happen to be the winning team. If you are never the winning team, then you will never get those points, ever. And that should not be an individuals fault, and be penalized for not being able to win.

4. DAILIES – Ok, I thought when this was first changed, that it was going to be better. I was wrong again however. Now it does indeed allow you to pick your dailies, which is good, BUT once again, if you want to do your dailies, it forces you into PVP or Fractals (group stuff). There are a FEW times that I have logged in, and was able to do my dailies without PVP or Fractals, but not many. I think there should be a GROUP tab for the dailies too, in which the fractals would belong. Not everyone likes to group or can even FIND one anymore. Dailies should be something that any solo character can complete, ruling out PVP OR Fractals. Now I simply log in to get my daily log in reward and log right back out and play Tera or something.

Ok, I KNOW there will be tons of players that totally disagree with EVERYTHING that I have said. I have been to several forums before, and there are those that are put on this earth to do nothing but flame, and that is fine. As stated in the title, these are MY OPINIONS as a player. Im not asking for comments, to support, nor flame my post, but there are those that will anyway, so commence.

But like I said, there is a lot that I do like about this game, but those things listed above make it feel kind of pointless to play. No one wants to fight a huge WORLD BOSS only to get the same type of loot they can obtain from a normal leveled solo mob.

However, for such a decent price for a full new Digital Deluxe account I might consider just keeping it and using it as a second account for storage or what not if I were you.[/quote]

Yeah, I may just do that actually. But still, I think they need to make it a BIT more clear, as to HOW to upgrade or not upgrade your existing account. When I got the email with the validation code, it clearly says, “If you want to use this code to upgrade an existing account OR link to a Guild Wars account, then click here. Link Account”

When I hit the Link Account to upgrade my existing account, which the instructions clearly made it look like I could, it shows no way to do that, and only the option to Link it to your Guild Wars account.

This is AFTER purchase has been made already , mind you. So yeah, I feel that is a little bit deceptive, or maybe Im just to stupid and read that wrong. But it sure looked like plain English to me

But thanks all, for the input. I will just either keep the second account and start from scratch on it, or get it refunded back to my card. I really don’t want to start all over again just for the DDE stuff. I should just get a gem card and upgrade it from the gem store. I just wish I would have known all of this before I done that. Oh well, live and learn, huh?

You did not buy an account upgrade. You bought a second account that was the Digital Deluxe version. You can’t use a new account to upgrade an existing account. The only way to upgrade an existing account to the Digital Deluxe is to buy the account upgrade through the gem store. It currently costs 2,000 gems.

The part about linking it to an existing account is referencing linking your Guild Wars 1 account.

Ok, I see. So now what do I do? They really need to make that more clear on the email that comes with the new validation code. The way it looked to me, is that you could just link that upgrade code to your existing account and it would be fine. Not sure what to do now. Is a refund my only option here ?

Yesterday, I bought the DDE (Digital Deluxe Edition) online because of the sale price. I received my conformation email from Arena Net, along with the serial number for the DDE. I already have a current account, so I chose the option that the email gave me to LINK that serial to my existing account. When I did this, it said that the serial was already attached to my account. I logged in, but NO in game items. I cant train the elite skill from that DDE, no mithril box, no golem, no pots, no mini…NONE of the items that I was supposed to get. I logged out and back in, nothing. I opened the gem store, nothing there for me to do. No in game mails either.

I have sent a support ticket off, but was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on this issue, in case I have to wait a year for Arena Net to reply. The code should have taken affect immediately, especially since it claimed to already be attached to my account. I know other people in the forums have said there was no way to add a new key to an existing account, but the email sent with the code gave me the choice to register OR link it to an existing account.

And just to clarify, I did NOT already have the DDE. All I have currently is the standard edition.

So any ideas or suggestions would be welcome and helpful.
