affix crests of the rabid to your weapons. That’s my suggestion. But if you like having the added effects…if you’re scepter/dagger you might be better off not using the earth sigil but using the sigil that increases duration (don’t forget your bleed stack cap.) Otherwise added weakness or vuln isn’t bad. If you swap weapons a lot you might still do okay with earth just to keep the stack up when you swap from your scepter.
Just wanted to pop into this thread long enough to say hello and thank Nemesis. I like to change my builds fairly frequently and a lot of the builds that I’ve arrived at as useful have consistently been within a point or two of the ones you’ve come up with. It’s also really nice to see someone not falling victim to the “necros only have three builds” trap that I hear a lot of people use to bash necros. And while I agree that written tutorials would be helpful, the videos are always clearly explained and well put together. The zerker/rabid hybrid is still one of my faves.
I’m actually running wells on my Charr with staff and D/D. I’m kind of rubbish in dungeons I feel, but PvE I tend to do just find wandering Orr as long as I don’t run into a Champion. Thanks to diligent tailoring, I had mostly rare gear for level 80…Explorer’s gear. To which I added opal orbs.
Ground-based siphon wells are awesome. I seem to recall somewhere on these fora someone post about how siphon health doesn’t scale up according to healing power or power, but I have nothing beyond vague memory. I like that my DS can heal my party when I decide to drop wells which already have benefit. The ability to do decent DPS and be a reliable support healer is kind of nice.
I switch between opal jewelry for wandering to coral and sapphire for serious business. And while I haven’t thoroughly researched it yet, I prefer orbs to rune sets apart from the more expensive ones in the superior line. I’ve seen another necro built for DS that used axe/dagger. The dagger 4 is nice.
Okay, I’ve been trying to find it around here somewhere but to no avail, so I guess I’ll go ahead and be the one to ask:
what’s up with Terror? At level 72 scaled down to 46. enter combat with mob. hit death shroud, hit doom. Doom does 34 damage. This does not equal 313.1 [2 + (46{level} * 4.5) + 30%(347{condition dmg})]

I’m more fond of the headpiece than the rest of it, really, but so far I haven’t found much else that’s made me happy. It’s about time for a recolor though.
