Guild Wars 2

Hi everyone, I’m pretty curious about this (but maybe not important for some of you). Do you think that buying an expansion for Guild Wars 2 will give you an extra free character slot?

I never buy or play Guild Wars before, so maybe some of you who played and bought Guild Wars 1 expansions have an answer to this?

Reason why I ask this?
I’m not rich in-game, and I’m not that good in making in-game money… So I probably gonna buy gem for character slost. But if we will have a free character slot by buying an expansion, I can buy gem for anything else (like skins. hahaha)

Hello everyone, Scarlet Scars are currently recruiting new, existing and returning Guild Wars 2 players!

About us:
We are a small group (but fully upgraded guild) and based at DarkHaven (but we also have players from Jade Quarry too).
Because we are working adults, some of us only play after work (i.e. at night), and casually.
Having said that, our principles are to simply relax, have fun, chatter and finally,
grow up and learn together (whether in game or in real life).
No pressure of fast levelling or must-do’s, as long as you have proper etiquette, welcome.
We won’t force you to represent us as well, or make you permanently move to DarkHaven, so, welcome.
For your information, we are located in UTC / GMT +7 ~ 9 time zones.
We speak English and Mandarin. Other than those two, we also speak Japanese and Bahasa Indonesia.

Zerg – mass of people. There is a type of monsters called Champion (like Champion Cave Troll in Queensdale) which is quite powerful, and you need this zerg to take it down together.

Blues and Greens – The equipment you get with blue or green font colors. You can either sell these items, use it, or salvage it with salvage kit to get crafting materials and an item that will increase your Magic Find.

Magic Find – It’s like a drop rate, the higher the Magic Find (MF) the higher chance you get better items (not for chests and Mystic Forge)

Mystic Forge – The place where you can combine 4 items to produce a random output of a particular item.

My build with the new patch is really bad right now. I have to change the build completely ._. Hope I’ll get a new and better build in a short time.

Hi ANet and fellow gamers. I would like to suggest on the Game Launcher. Well, it may be a stupid suggestion, but may also be useful for some people (including me).
As you can see now the game launcher (while updating) consists of the percentage(%), Downloading (MB), Download Speed (KB/sec), and Files Remaining. Its nice that we can see the percentage and things while we are waiting for the patch. But in my opinion there should be a minor change in the Files Remaining section.

1. What if the Files Remaining that is shown by numbers, changed to be how many MB of files left to be downloaded.
For example: The Game launcher now shows Files Remaining : 100. Well its not a big number for a patch, but how big is 100? Is it 10MB? 100MB? or 1000MB? Some players may need these numbers to predict the time needed for patch. If its too big, some people may not be able to leave their computers on while they are out. If its too big, maybe they can ask for their friends for a copy (I don’t know if this is systemically correct, but I prefer to copy the GW2 files from my PC to my laptop rather than patch both computers). Maybe its better to see the Files Remaining as in MB.

In short: Files Remaining: 100 changed to Files Remaining: 150 MB (example)

2. What if the Game Launcher provides “auto-shutdown after patch” just like the Auto-Play?
Again, probably this is a stupid suggestion, but some people may not be able to leave their computers on while they are out or asleep. Patches like Halloween and Lost Shore requires a big big patch (1GB and 600MB if I’m not mistaken). This is the solution for them. They do not need to worry about leaving their computers on because the launcher will auto-shutdown the computer itself after the patch.

This suggestions do not come only from myself, but also from my fellow GW2 players. Especially from my country, we still do not have the access for a high-speed internet. My download speed is about 300KB/sec. So, yeah, probably we should discuss about this together not only from me, but from you guys as well.
