No, it is indeed a “normal” skin. You can still transmute it to another backpiece though.

ok…what transmute item do I need to use so that I don’t destroy the back pack. I have never transmuted things before.

If I get tired of my characters hairstyle etc can I change it later?

i suggest creating both and play them to level 10….by then you will know which you will like the most and then just make that toon your main.

Only you can decide which profession you like the best and is “more fun to play”

I am not sure if this is what you are referring to but if you press H to look at your character you can uncheck the little box in the headgear box and it will disappear. For example I can remove the face tattoo thing on my necro.
