tl;dr – My build is incredibly strong against thieves and generally all players in tPvP. But this… this was just stupid.

Pink Monkey’s [DEVS] already holds the all-time records for tower capping and thief profession excellence. We’ve re-wrote the book on the thief class and are Gods among insects whenever we’re out. Sorry.

All their abilities are siege based, which is fail. ANET talked early on about molding a pvp reward system similar to DAoC, but they’re way off…WAY OFF. It’s almost as if they were dumfounded and decided to call WoW devs to ask for advice.

“Uhh ya, pvp rewards? Sure, let them do more damage on an arrow cart.”

This game had a lot of potential…

ANET almost had it right when they finally implemented the wvw progression, but your hard earned rank points can spent on such great abilities as…carrying more supply!!

Can someone from Blackgate please check the Shadaran Hills keep on your own borderlands immeditately, since the place is in combat. About 10 minutes ago I saw about 4 people TC from a guild with the tag [DEVS] that had exploited our spawn, gotten out of the map, and were moving north. Sadly they had all ran away before I could get a screenshot.

Thanks for the heads up. DEVS is a well known hacking guild who jumps from server to server and hacks/exploits. They’ve hacked on JQ, SBI and BG. Looks like they’ve moved to TC Now. It is a shame that is over a month later and they are still at it.

Do you have ANY proof of these allegations? Or are you just tell us what you’ve heard? DEVS does not hack, exploit or anything of the like. It is sad that our elite guild is capable of killing groups that far out number us, only to later be called hackers.

Exactly. I am going to say a serious l2p is in order, but if i say l2p the mods will pull my post for not being friendly. That being said, I will suggest the original poster buys several thousand gems and buys some very cool armor skins from the BLTC. That should help his 1v2 problems.

and what do you know the same thief in the video exploited another tower just 40 minutes ago on SBI borderlands. btw when are you online? i’ve tried pm-ing you in game to tell you which exact players of yours are exploiting but you don’t ever seem to be on.

I just don’t know what to say other than these are the things I’ve been told and they all make sense to me. I have no reason to doubt my guildies whatsoever. The [DEVS] players are all highly skilled pvpers, who play their character classes to their maximum potential, which in turns makes a lot of the causal players and/or unskilled players angry from time to time.

That appears to be a very disturbing video to say the least. I spoke with [DEVS] member who was recorded in the video. He was very apologetic and had a convincing excuse as well. After mercilessly killing the less-skilled player in the video’s foreground, he used his Shadowstep ability, which somehow teleported him on the side of the wall, where he remained stuck. Clearly the video shows him repeatedly trying to free himself from the wall and only after several attempts of using Infiltrator’s Arrow as a means of teleporting away from the wall, he wound up on top of the wall. The [DEVS] player told me that he immediately exited the game and reported to glitch to ANET.

Instead of chastising the Pink Monkeys, I feel a commendation is better suited for the [DEVS] player who went the extra mile and reported the malfunction in hopes a fix will be forthcoming, making game-play more enjoyable for all.

um, yeah, the guy was um..er…stuck, yeah stuck in the wall and infiltrator striked out of it and immediately logged and reported it…something must have glitched tho, cause when he logged / reported his toon suddenly went on auto pilot and casst Shadow Refuge, then run up the ramp and attacked the Keep Lord with the rest of us….how’d the rest of us get in?…um…when he logged it glitched us too and these hackers managed to take over our sessions and exploited us into the keep lords room after which they flipped the keep…those kitten hackers/exploiters![/quote]

Its not “JQ exploiting” it’s [DEVS] exploiting. JQ does not promote or condone exploiting. They are a great server to fight against and many great guilds I love to fight every night.

There are so many reports and screenies and clips of [DEVS] exploiting and hacking over the past couple of months I am amazed they even still have accounts. Plus they’ve been on several servers, they just happen to be on JQ right now.

Hello, unfortunately the screenshot shows someone with a [DEVS] tag fighting in a tower, which does not amount to anything other than that. I did ask all the guildies if they’re aware of any unsportsmanlike conduct within the guild and they said no. Please PM me if there is ever a problem.

Realistically you just need an all Thief group with a heavy stealth build focus firing one player at a time. No other professions required. I wouldn’t be surprised if they could take out a group twice their size.

We run all stealth groups all the time, as we are an all thief guild and it’s never a problem taking on many many more than we have. We love playing the stealth game and have in done it in several games. That being said, a few of us played a lot of 8-mans in DAoC and miss it. When DAoC started it was much like this game, pretty much zergs, but once realm points came out, the 8-mans started in full force. The stealth game will always be the Pink Monkeys [DEVS] focus, but playin’ a 5-man will be fun too.

we have a stealth group, which is fine. we’re putting together a regular 5 man. We have a few ideas, but it always helps to get an outside perspective.

what’s your best idea for a roaming 5 man?

Thieves are fine. Plenty of ways to stop a thief, it’s just easier to qq on forums than figuring it out.

Need help with a good bunker spec

As it stands WvWvW is getting boring. Would love to see some improvements in the rewards system for wvw, such as a realm point system similar to DAoC. I have over 2000 badges, which don’t amount to anything really.

Is most of our guild lvl 80? We’ve been killing your guild all night long and it didn’t show you were sub-80, but you guys go down so fast we thought there might be a bug or something.

There’s got to be a better reward system for killing and achievements in WvW. Implement DAoC realm point system fast!

Let me clear this up. Our guild “Pink Monkey’s/DEVS” does not hack, cheat, steal orbs etc. We have a core group of experienced pvp players and are able to kill groups of enemies who far out number us….for that we are accused of cheating.

lol, who knows what the screenshot was, but some people will do and say anything when they’ve been beat down repeatedly by 2 thieves 2v10.
