I just tested Shadow’s Embrace. It removes a condi every time you enter stealth. I haven’t tested the interval portion as of yet.

so essentially the CD resets upon exiting stealth. Well I don’t see then how this is….helping other classes against us. Most D/P thieves tend to go in and out of stealth rapidly to begin with.

read the notes…..nothing I see allows us to be better in support. The only thing I see that catches my attention is the stealth nerf to our SE

Unfortunately your pingpath doesn’t show anything; because its blocked past your router.

Just for reference, speed tests mean jack squat. Its all about the “roads” your internet “traffic” takes. The streaming HD maybe coming from Seattle, porno from Wisconson. While GW2 is Texas. Therefore it is not a good comparison.

I’m not saying it isn’t guild wars; but at the same time, there are other people who aren’t lagging.

We’ve seen a lot of issues from Level3 and Verizon over the past few weeks. Level3 mainly coming from the west coast to Texas. Verizon/Anet having peering issues.

Okay, fair enough. So I am assuming this applies to every other game; such as battle.net, LOL, Steam online games as well?

Because GW2 honestly is the only thing that is lagging horribly bad for me at the moment. I have had zero issues with GW2 the last couple days, and before that I had random spikes here and there before that since the Tequatl patch.

My issues started after the Tequatl patch and even today still having rubber banding and skill lag. Starting to believe it’s server issues because since friday’s reset, while there still is lagging and rubber banding, it’s not as severe as the last match up.

Still the same problems for me involving level3 and their dropped packets. It’s now gotten to the point where I get full disconnects in the evening. I’m not saying ANET is to blame however I do believe anet should consider informing level3 of the routing issues they’re experiencing since by reading through the forums, it definitely not just me.

welp going on a little more than a week and still unbearable lag in wvw/spvp. Noticing it now happens in dungeons as well. Funny thing is all my other games seem to not have this issue just guild wars 2.

Thought I would post an update. Well after xystus’s advice I filed a support ticket and was surprised to get a quick response. After sending the information requested by the service tech (Including pingplotter read out etc.) I discovered that level3 was dropping packets at a rate of 30-50 percent. I was informed however by the ANET support provider that it wasn’t their problem but my ISP. So, I call up my isp and ask for assistance. Sure enough, I was informed that since it wasn’t one of their servers, it was ANET’S responsibility to take care of this. Long story short, I spent the better part of three hours going back and forth between the two and came to the conclusion that noone is going to take responsibility for this. Oh and a side note I attempted to contact level3 and got the same response.

I would submit a ticket to ANET; 6% would be noticeable. Most likely a peering issue between Level3 and ANET, but they may be able to take a look at it.

alter.net is a Arena net server so they’re dropping your packets causing the lag. In other words it’s not your fault it’s theirs.

Same problem here. I started noticing skill lag two days ago and even today it’s pretty much unplayable. Ran a pathping and pretty much showed I was in the clear down the board so I know it’s probably a server issue.

Haha ah this match up is to funny! So me who is in AR and my guild form a group to take a henge camp bluevale. We deck this camp out and hold off henge with all our might. We just keep killing their mini zergs they bring. Then next thing we know they bring a commander with his lets see about 15-20 man zerg to stop 5 anvil rock players.. GG henge GG. Hope to kill you guys some more with just 5 of us!

In the first picture I’m facing GoM spawn waiting for you to come out to ruins. The second is when I waypointed back and ran to south supply camp. Didn’t find you at either place, unless you were one of the 13 bad GoM players that I was farming stacks off of.

I just want to say that so far I’m very much enjoying these fights. I haven’t in the longest time had so much fun going up against two other servers in the longest of time. Even after getting my backside handed to me today by a well coordinated group of NSP, I still had a hell of a lot of fun. Instead of being bitter, I chalk it up as a learning experience and will definitely try again tomorrow and the next day only knowing I’ll just get better. Hope this match up stays around for a long time!

Have there been any words from devs about how they feel about the blinding powder stealth granted by heartseeker with this weapon combo ? Just curious.

I personally feel it’s way too strong, and was wondering if it’ll be nerfed anytime soon.

Revealed is going to be bumped to 3s but changed so that you get revealed every time you exit stealth, which I believe is going to weaken the combo a little. Personally, I don’t mind that much; I never abused it quite as much as other people did.

Meh not weakening by much at all. When I’m using Dagger/pistol, I tend to stay in the fight much longer than dagger/dagger without having to stealth much if only to gain some might and put out a back stab. Plus, if I wanted to stay stealth I just keep doing the ole black powder + two HS in and out, repeat when necessary and I’m almost guaranteed to stay in stealth indefinitely

It’s easy to identify bad Thieves.

1) Then don’t dodge/evade – Obviously they played other games where dodge and evade are passive even if they are just standing doing nothing.
2) They don’t stealth – They stay targetable for too long.
3) They don’t position well – There’s only 2 positions: behind and far away.
4) They waste initiative – HS spam is a big indication.
5) They try to take down some one when it’s obvious from the initial strike that they are on the losing end.

But I never harass anyone, that’s just an immature behavior.

6) They fight you in a straight line instead of maneuvering constantly around you

7) They always try and shadow refuge near you to escape (seriously people try and get some distance from me before throwing it down…I know yer still in there)

D/P is better for WvW because it has much better sustain than anything else from other thf weapon sets. You can reliably engage multiple targets over a long period of time.

You can do something similar with C&D, but the damage output is abysmal since you are pretty much relying on C&D to do dmg, whereas you can actuall afford to be revealed with D/P.

D/P also benefits the most from shadow arts traitline for that purpose. The large amount of stealth without having to resort to utilities is too good to pass up in WvW.

Pretty much this. Also, it’s the most forgiving of the weapon sets. I’ve been able to go toe to toe with a guardian since the blackpowder keeps half if not most of his attacks from hitting. Adding with the shadow arts line, you pretty much grow stronger when the fight drags out due to the stacks of might you’ve gained from going in and out of stealth. Do you do the top damage, no. Are you able to hold your on against multiple opponents? Very much so.
