Hiya, Just been cleaning out my materials bag, and noticed i had a full stack of mystic coins.
Last time i paid attention to the price they were only 6 to 10 silver a pop and now they’re almost a gold.
Since I’ve done so much hot join over years i already have around 300 Mystic Clovers, my question is, do i still really need any of the mystic coins since I’ve got all the skins I wanted and from what i understand. they’re really on popular due to people gambling for mystic clovers?

Also my second question is, I’ve convinced my friend to come join again, He’s melee to the core and doesn’t have a great amount of time, so will mainly be doing events only. What is the best melee class for a good all rounder for him please in the current expansion?

Very annoying bug, I’ve been in one other guild that was started a million years ago, since I’ve decided to give Pve a go now, I joined a new guild.

I’m not able to talk in guild chat, I could for a small amount of time, the chat was actually appearing in my combat log, I deleted all of my chat tabs to make them again, To see if i could fix it. Now i can’t speak in any of the Guild chats, neither can i see them.

Very annoying!
I’ve tried relogging, appearing offline, standing down and rejoining, changing chars… Any suggestions please?

I’m literally falling over those ambrite chests, i think i have 10 or so in the bank. Sorting through all the sand and different stuff is soul destroying haha. I’ve not even started on masterys as of yet, I’ve got a long way to go. Cheers for reply

Hi there, I’ll just give you a quick background. I joined the game early 2013, I was apart of a very small but active guild and we just ran dungeons. By the time we got geared for doing fractals we were always told “you’re too low” etc. That was around the time we all packed in as finding a solid fractal group was always a fail.

I came back around a year later and have literally done nothing but hot join in my spare time up until now. Since I’ve done quite a few of them I’ve amassed almost an entire set of Ascended gear for my Ranger. (Zolja’s) which is the class I’ve decided I’d like to play.
I’ve just been messing around and trying to get 100% world completion at the moment, but I’ll be honest it’s getting a little stale.

I do have the expansion but have not visited it yet, where should I start please? Is the purple gear I have enough to enter Raids/Fractals? Are Fractals still level dependent?

Also I have 100’s of various lockpicks and keys and thousands of Geode’s and dungeon tokens. Are any of them worth going to use? or do they just give you lots of junk items?

Any little action plan would be appreciated, thanks for reading.

It would be a good idea to do a “trace route” or “ping plot” when you are having the issues and submit it to support. The majority of the time this will show that the issue is somewhere between your PC and the Anet servers. If that is the case there is nothing Anet can do to help as it is outside their control.

Yesterday I’ve just come back after a few weeks and am experiencing normal ping (30 to 42) but around 5 or 6 times an hour a huge spike, my game freezes and then all my actions hit at once and then it returns to normal. This is SOO frustrating.

I’m also very disappointed in the lack of offical responses to almost everyone’s issues, I’ve sprawled though many pages of issues and see very few responses or offers for help from the Guild Wars team/workers.

Even an acknowledgement is better than nothing, I realise you may not have a humongous budget for staff, but feeling like you’re been ignored is almost as frustrating as your issue.

I’ve had this happen about 6 times in two weeks now, the only tell tale sign I’ll get of it happening is I lose all sound effects but no music, then my fps slowly tanks until I have to relog my pc as it wont force close.

Animations are great, I’ve literally been stuck in the Pvp area for the last two years and finally decided to peak around the world getting map completion.
The art style is very unique and all round looks amazing, I often feel in Mmos that the scenery is just there to complete a map and not really have a purpose. In this game the mobs and the locations look like they should be there and this helps immersion.

I like the reward track system, although i play allot I just mess around mainly in pvp and been able to earn money and gear from that is a real plus. Although i don’t like the disenchanting so much ha, and my chest clicking finger is so muscular now that it may break kitten through my desk.

As mentioned above I like the cooperative nature and not needing a group whilst helping people out is great plus. And lastly I’ve always liked Guild wars armor, my favorite part of the first game was farming that special armor.

Ahh thanks for clearing that up, that may explain why it felt it made hardly any difference at all. I hope they get around to fixing it soon, not very fun at the moment.

There really needs to be some passive damage reduction for pets, with the new climate of conditions been able to do 4k+ a tick pets are getting smoked, I wouldn’t mind so much but they’re not even been focused. This is from things like Cleave and aoe condition pressure.

And for all people wondering I am swapping my pets and using my heals, but 20 seconds is a LONG time with the burst condition and massive cleave damage for even Troll Unguent to keep up with the damage.

Primarily with my ranger I prefer pets builds, but now they seem pretty ineffective even with the passive health regen traited.

Anyone else notice this?

This has been going on since the patch, to allot of people. over a third of everyone I play with. There has been numerous posts regarding this and yet no one from Anet has even bothered to make an effort to investigate by the looks it.

Bump, over a third of everyone in each team I’ve played in in the last 20 matches are freezing and lagging including me.

I have, and also the people I’ve played with in pvp have like 7 or 8 second lag spikes. Really annoying.

Yeah I was thinking the octopus backpack thing for my Necro would be cool. I just bought a load of gear for my ranger so I’m down to 40 gold. I’ll complete the living story and see, thanks guys.

Hiya, before this week the last time I played was about the time the laurels vendor was implemented. I just noticed now I have 52 of them. My dilemma is, I seldom ever PvE, but as of today I’m going to give the living story a go. I am a serial character hopper unless i commit to something so I have no idea what to spend my laurels on. I’m not overly fussed about getting the Ascended rings so do you think It’s best to trade them for T6 mats? or is there anything cool you’d recommend. Thanks.

Yeah, The first game was amazing and introduced me to the genre, I really do miss it. After over 4 thousand hours put in someone hacked it and deleted all my armor. I was well gutted i never logged back in after tech support told me they don’t restore items..I loved creating party builds/farming with a friend in underworld. The good ol days. This is still a nice game but I don’t think i’ll settle into it for more than two months at a time.

It’s so frustrating but I swear i played a while on release and it was never that bad, It’s really noticeable now. And another thing, after guild wars 1 and all the experience with Heroes/henchman they would of nailed AI. Heroes were pretty great after a few updates, been more reliable then some players.

So I returned from a longish hiatus (8 months) to discover that my flesh golem Elite has been rendered almost useless. what happened? Other than when I command to him to knock down he just stands there and does nothing for a good 70-80% of my entire playtime. Although the knockdown is the primary use for him in Tpvp him hitting for 1k is rather nice too. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Yeah that’s right, Same with engineer’s and kit’s. Just attunement swap to trigger it.

Hiya I had to wipe my Android device due to it slowing down, in the process it removed the authentication device linked to my Guild Wars account. I can still access my account as this is a trusted computer, but if i would like to reapply it, it wants my old code which i can no long access as the authenticater is gone. The two factor is still enabled on my account I would like to remove it and reapply it if possible please. Thanks

I’m very disappointed there has been no reply for 5 days now. I hope they’re working on a solution it’s making me dislike the game allot.

Mine is terrible too, I was okay this morning in tournaments apart from a few random freezes, I logged back in at 4 to play some Spvp and omg 1 second delay’s on normal skills then 5 to 10 second or so freezes. Completely unplayable at the moment =(

Thought it was just me! I’ve been fiddling with account settings for the last 10 minutes!

OKay found the problem, but this roots back a long time now. I own a ATI Radeon 6870 hd card a while back they released a driver that causes mass strobe flickering in 2d environments and that was never officially fixed, The launcher will not load without the latest driver, As I’m typing this my screen is flying all over the place and if i roll back to fix the issue the launcher will not load! Ahh this is so frustrating. There is no flickering at all in games and things with 3d enviroments. Anyone any ideas I’ve looked on the forums and the only suggestions is to overclock which I don’t need to do and don’t want to either. Thanks!

Hiya, Yesterday I purchased a new hard drive, so put it all together and before removing i copied the big . DAT file for Gw2.

So my plan was to, go to the website start the launcher, sign in and then pause/cancel then replace the install file. But the launcher will not work at all. It will open up download some information then immediately disappear. I had a look on the forums to see if I could find something similar there was a suggestion to rename the file from Gw2setup to simply GW2.exe I tried that and the launcher just freezes. I also read about some other fix with temp files and all that jazz but there are no temp files as it wont go that far to create a download directory. Anyone any ideas please?

I’m on Sanctum of Rall and i don’t consider the server to be dead at off times. And usually if i want to find a group for a dungeon or fractals i use gw2lfg.com.

Yeah I think going over to a NA server would be the better option for me, my only concern is the time difference. For what would be peak time for me could be dead for that server and have no way of transfering back and forth. And yes I’m on Aurora Glade at the moment this is the second time we’ve moved for the same reason. =/

Hi, I’m having a major issue. The language barrier is ruining my experience in this game, 80% of all the pugs I’m in hardly anyone speaks any English at all. Other than things like “invite” and “ty” when trying to explain a tactic or make a suggestion the party chat is completely silent as no one even understands me. I came here with 4 of my friends all from different parts of the Uk, Sweden, Germany and France and even those people have started to get frustrated.

I see you have made multiple specific language servers for the some of the most common languages but have not made English only servers which I find highly unfair.

I played Guild Wars 1 for 5 years and usually the Europe section was the home of most Germans, french and Spanish speaking players and allot of people from the Uk would join the Us in the Us part of the servers.

Now the option to freely move from different zones has been removed, It’s making it very difficult for us to form a group where everyone understands each other and things go smoothly with no frustration.

I’m asking you to please consider this for the near future. Thank you.
