Thats definitely good news doing other stuff during the event will still reap the rewards.

Now lets hope the servers work together on fights to make them fun!! I am getting nightmares of the Karka Queen event lol

After reading the change to Tequatl and the bosses I am quite excited. I love having a in depth fight instead of just standing in my place.

However here are my concerns.

1.) I love playing a support role. With the new Tequatl it sounds like there will need to be multiple things happening to succeed. If I am say defending turrets or doing healing will “ALL” Roles during the encounter count towards defeating him. Im afraid alot of people will focus on damaging him to get the credit. I want to make sure if I do a different role in the fight I will get proper credit if im not per se doing direct dmg to him.

2.) As we saw with Scarlet its hard to get everyone to work together. Time will tell how the timer will work but this will be interesting to see if servers and everyone will split and actually achieve each role needed to defeat the boss.

Pros

1.) An in depth fight that is not boring and allowing everyone to engage in something new pending how they feel

2.) Chance at new rewards and achievments.

Same here. The first few days was getting awesome drops for Coffers but ever since around late friday to early Saturday drop rate went in the toilet. I can kill a good 15-20 mobs and get 1 coffer instead of like every 3rd or 4th mob. My son who was with me at the same time has the SAME results. He had wonderful drop rates (even though the RNG to get a weapon ticket is bullkitten) but his is nerfed massively.

I also noticed this on the Halos as well. I would usually round up a good 3-4 Coffers per Halo. Im lucky to get (1) to drop more often than not its none.

The devs claimed there was no change to ecto salvage rate then realized an error. They can say nothing changed all they want but after trying multiple maps/camp locations and mobs myself and my sons drop rate went in the toilet.

I’ve loved MMO’s for years this is the first time ive truly been disappointed by the RNG and inconsistancy

I dont believe this will be a normal for most MMO’s as the random “grind” is the worst ive seen in any game. I’m far from the highest people have opened but im sitting at around 760 crates opened and no ticket.
This morning I put my foot down and said no more. I play video games to go towards a goal. Even if getting a weapon ticket meant a month long quest or something in depth I know I have a chance at it and can keep working toward that goal.

I will not keep farming just to play a random casino game

I agree this is very frustrating with RNG. I decided to try and buy 2 chests but got crap from them no ticket. Otherwise I have been living in Southsun since this event went live and ive yet to get a “single” chest drop while others seem to at least be getting them throughout the day. Its honestly kitten me off.

I got Crab Toss Champion, Completed the full achievement for the tentacle backpiece, and farmed every type of mob in the whole zone for days yet still nothing but blues, green, and 1 yellow rare with tons of magic find. Very very frustrated

I have been seeing alot of posts regarding WvW builds etc but does anyone have some good options for a dungeon/PVE build with the new GS changes. I’m trying my hardest to like the class and stick with it but having a hard time coming up with some options for the class. Anyone got suggestions? There are so many WvW ones but not many PVE GS builds

Lets make a RIOT. I mean the whole Ranger Community must unite in order to show Anet that this won’t go much longer. We are people, who paid 60 bucks for the game which is just lame in terms of balance! Lame in terms of Rangers!

Lets make something significant. Petitions, letters, strikes, game quits, rerolling whatever. I am open to your suggestions if you agree with me. I just don’t wont to be trolled over and over again by the devs.

This did happen in WOW shaman got this kind of treatment and went on strike. Shaman all gathered in ORGAMAR. Their was so much lag in ORG that it shut down servers. By the way it did work not to long after that shaman did get needed fixes.

Everquest 1 Warriors did the same thing back in the day to finally get some attention to the class as well. I for one would be down for this 100% some night. Drastic Measures for drastic changes.

Totally agree my friend who has a Engineer main and has been waiting for the fix’s to the class is absolutely stoked and can’t wait to get off work and play. Unfortunitely as the trend continues rangers get a ounce of the updates and overal ignored in our continued concerns.

- I love Longbow but nothing mentioned in patch notes (even though I thought changes was coming??)
- I love the idea of spirits (and still use some of them) but with the way dungeons are random and some spawns they die if the mob farts in the direction of them. They SHOULD perform like Banners for warrior. They offer buffs just like a banner so they should get the same attention.
- Since our class is so heavy and dependant on pets, it appears that will never change. Obviously we can control out pets the best we can backing off etc but there still needs to me more “control” added to our pets if they are going to be a big majority of our dmg to help in groups.

I could keep going but the concerns by the Ranger community has been told over and over its like beating a dead horse at this point.

I think at this point I will quote Oliver Twist as thats how I feel with rangers and asking for help on the class.
“Please sir, may I have another??”

Sadly after seeing the joy and happiness from my Engineer friend I too want to feel that and go back to enjoying Guild Wars 2. I think I may find myself leveling a different class when I get home even though for the first time in my MMO career since 1999 I decided to try out a ranger class and now have a sour taste in my mouth.

I really like this idea alot. It reminds me a bit of a Vanguard Shaman where you would go down a line based on your pet. Aka if you aligned with bear you would have specific traits based on the bear or if you went with a caster type of pet you would be different etc.

Its quite a bit different obviously than shaman in vanguard but having the option to “allign” yourself with your pet would be amazing. I know a few other games who do similar and its a blast

For those who are Rangers and like Fury, when I was talking gear with Sol, I learned that with Horn Off-Hand and runes of the Citadel you can get pretty much permanent Fury. That’s something well worth looking into for a class that can bleed and put might on their pet on crit … especially with the fast attack speed of the shortbow.

Darn kids is right. QQ is “crying slang” in this age but it used to be an easy way to “quit” a match in some games. In other words "quit complaining and QQ! So actually your statement is a bit off

Now thats out of the way I do agree I am a bit upset with the video and lack of changes mentioned. Yes I am happy they are looking into the LB and GS two of my favorite weapons for my ranger but quite weak in comparison. I keep procrastinating leveling a new character I don’t want to be a flavor of the month class but this is getting really frustrating

Thanks for the update Pupgo. I still cant get my server to run events for the life of me very disappointing but also noticed that Sea of Sorrows events are now VERY heavy in terms of people. So getting items is almost impossible with alot of Elementalist doing AOE lol~ Hopefully this will help regardless very impressed

Great group of guys and server. Joined them last night for a bit and was very coordinated and fun. Makes me want to perma transfer servers haha :p

Its a known bug in the “Bugs” Forums. Same thing happened to me and I found the thread. It was giving out items that are not for rangers so they disabled the boxes till a fix can be put in place.

How long does it take to run this event chain. Im very interested in it and tried to find it going on my server but didnt have any luck.

My sons 9th Birthday is coming up and he absolutely LOVES Guild Wars 2. This is his real first MMO he has played and does quite amazing at it and asks to play daily lol. I want to surprise him this year with a GW2 themed cake/gifts and I’m having a hard time finding any GW2 figures only the Charr Plush.

I know myself would like to own some GW2 figures to put on my work desk!!
Anet any chance of releasing some to buy in your shop other than the Charr Plush

While I do agree kill stealing is an annoyance there is absolutely dozens of zones to achieve the healer/dodge for daily. If I notice one area is not a good spot for what im trying to achieve I set out to another area that takes seconds to get to and can complete it super fast. I would recommend looking at a few different areas not only to change the scenery for dailys but it can keep your options open if there are some intolerable people where you are at the time.

This would be very common in terms of computing. I dont want to come off as harsh but yes i3 should never really be done in terms of gaming. It’s more for the generic internet/office users. For current gen CPU’s you would want i5 or higher for sure if your a gamer. Glad you got it upgraded I could only imagine the pain you had trying to play the game on i3 /cringe LOL! I got the I7 for my current CPU built and looooving it

The only one I can think of is the Fire Elemental boss. It doesn’t make sense as far as story goes but due to his difficulty he seems to never be killed. But I dont think he drops a chest ??

I’ve never seen a group try him to know for certain. As for the Shadow Behemoth did him a few days back but saw nothing~

My group of friends have started to do more dungeons and fractals. Last night we recently did 3 fractals however I dont believe I leveled up from lvl 1. Is there a way to actively see what lvl you are in a Fractal?

Also due to one of us having to go AFK for a extended time we ported back to the hub and continued on to a different one. I believe I read somewhere unless you complete 3 in perfect order without going back to the Hub you dont level up. Hopefully thats not true ???

Thanks in advance I really enjoyed the fractals we played but really want to level up and get some good rewards

I would have to agree Ranger (who is my main and regretting it) needs a huge revamp. I put so much work into leveling him I really hate the fact he is the most useless when it comes to doing activities with friends. I’ve always been more of a caster/healer in typical MMO’s so I took a chance at Ranger this go around arg! LOL

Second would be Engineer and 3rd Necromancer.

I really wish we could get some ANET eyes on this thread as the responses don’t seem to be very “random” but the general response is about the same on almost everyone. There is obviously a big problem and after seeing this thread it really upsets me to see how many agree with the most useless class’s. I will always like my ranger but I think its time I focus on a different class till things hopefully get fixed
