Thank you for replying!
I was checking out arcdps’ skill logs. Link to .txt ~20mb.
And was wondering if maybe you could help me make sense of “etime” and “atime”. This could prove to be a good enough source for these timings until these values can be extracted and put into the API.
Are the timings listed here all the relevant information or are there more information about timing (aftercast etc) which are stored someplace else? In the animation data for instance?
I am currently planning a very helpful tool for GW2 players who would like to improve their DPS rotation. I have however met a rather big limitation of the API that will require me to do an immense amount of manual work when creating and updating the tool.
And that is the activation time of skills. How difficult would it be to add this property to the skills API?
For instance, we have https://api.guildwars2.com/v2/skills/14407 with duration of 90 and recharge of 120, but we have idea about the activation time (cast time) of that skill.
Thank you for your time

I like this suggestion. However, we then step away from the read-only portion of the API and over to a new territory. This must be implemented with care, or else we might see some attempts at malicious behavior from third-party sites.
Came here to say the same thing. The skin should also have a name property
It’ll just be access to guild chat. Not sure what transport we’ll use or any of the other details. Literally all I’ve done so far is sit down and say “I should be able to use guild chat while not logged into the game”.
Hehe, what I thought and I fully agree.
I also noticed mailing and friendslist were mentioned before edited away in the before-mentioned thread. Are those still on the table we all love so much?
Hi Lawton and the rest of the crew!
In the thread regarding permissions I noticed “Chat” was mentioned, but later edited out with the comment “scrap chat for now; that’s months away still.”
I understand you may not have specified this endpoint 100%, but I am curious about your thoughts on what the chat API will include, what we will get permissions to do with it, and how it will work.
Thank you for taking the time to answer!
Thank you so much for reply! I will keep an eye on the GitHub repo. Looking forward to the release
You’re doing a good job, Lawton!
Hi, and sorry if this has been asked and answered before.
I am simply curious what the ETA is on wardrobe data from the account API. I understand if it is difficult to give a specific date, but I am happy with a rough estimate.
Also, great job on the API v2 so far and the API token system!
Can’t wait for more
Was messing around with the API as well, and gotta say it’s a lot of fun to see how the authorized API is progressing!
I am currently working on a new version of gw2wardrobe.com, and am using the new API v2 for it. I am so excited for the ability to see which skins your account has unlocked! I have mostly everything ready for when that goes live.
A question about /v2/character/:id/equipment: will we get access to what skins the character is wearing as well? Say, for the chest piece, we get the ID for equipment, rune, infusions and skin?
Getting an image/portrait of the character would be sick as well! For now I’ll just have to stick with generic images.
I meant that I want to see how my offer compares to offers by other players.
TP PvP leaderboards. This needs to happen.
Daily TP undercutter (1/5)
For me, the issue was resolved by killing my clone in the mirror. I have only tried this once, though, so no guarantees
- The new TP’s search bar, for some reason you can only input a limited number of characters. So it’s difficult to find items with long names such as “Berserker’s Orichalcum Imbued Inscription” (/u/teejaydm)
- The way an Asura run if they are holding a staff or certain weapons. (/u/teejaydm)
- When placing an AOE of a skill that has had its radius increased via a trait, you only see the original AOE circle size which can make placement a bit tricky. Usually something you easily forget about as you get a better idea for how big the actual size of your AOEs are but still a bit annoying. (/u/Leonia42)
- Running while swinging a weapon; disconnected lower and upper body while throwing a strike. Anyone who knows how to throw a half-decent strike knows that this is stupid. (/u/magicaltuna)
- Charr backwards pawprint. (/u/nosuchtech)
- The glitch where your minimap will fanatically keep re-centering on you, I just got used to opening the map to waypoint farther because it’s too frustrating. (/u/Alether)
- Agony (and poison?) screwing with skills that are supposed to “revive”. There’s nothing mentioned about healing or condition affecting these skills, yet that’s the hidden mechanic of them. Example: Vapor form will fail to activate if you have agony and <50% downed health. Anet, if you hide a mechanic, make sure it stays hidden, for consistency’s sake… (/u/Alether)
- Burning Retreat, the single biggest fluidity feeling breaker skill in the entire game, hands down. 8 out of 10 times I use it, the game starts warping me around after the skill finishes, or rooting me in place. It looks awful and glitchy. (/u/Alether)
- Why on earth are these useless trophies a thing with this game? And why do the devs feel the need to justify the existence of junk items with a collection achievement? They contribute nothing in a practical sense, they take up inventory slots, and they sell for very little amounts of copper to the vendor NPCs (with “Sell Junk” button). A similar argument can be said about Bags of Coins (and to a lesser extent, Bags of Wonderous Goods from dungeons). Instead of going straight into your coin count, you have to first sacrifice an inventory slot and a mouse click to get a few silver. (/u/ErifEci)
- Monsters don’t have to follow the same basic rules that apply to characters. Like gravity. Launch should be waaaaaay more effective. (/u/sarielv)
- Being asked to join a PvP match 2 seconds after i clicked “wait” is pretty annoying. (/u/Ichido_Yukou)
- Armor bought with Badges of Honor can not be salvaged. (/u/g_lexi)
- Karma armor/weapons can’t be salvaged. (/u/g_lexi)
- Asura females are forced to wear male human armor skins most of the time. (/u/g_lexi)
- Unable to cancel channel stuff. Like healing dead people, communing, harvesting, etc. Annoying as hell. You can skip a part of them by switching weapons, but I’m an ele so FML. (/u/Lon-ami)
- The sort arrows on the current trading post point the wrong way. (/u/hallomik)
- Skills that are supposed to be passive (like for example “Retreat!”) make your character attack the closest or any targeted opponent. (/u/SonnigerTag)
- Can’t stack items while they are inside Guild Storage, you have to remove all stacks, manually stack them, then place it back. On that same note, you can’t just put the same type of item on top of each other in the Guild Storage either. (/u/Deathseiry)
- There is no direct sun! The nights are mostly clear but every day on all maps are just clouds. It feels like an cheap way to not implemented sun effects
(/u/TekalN) - Weapons should have a placeholder in inventory when you equip them because when I switch from 1×2 handed to 2×1 handed I’ve a free slot in my organized weapon group. (/u/der_RAV3N)
- Trinkets should have an option via right click or double click if want them to get equipped on f.e. first or second ring slot. (/u/der_RAV3N)
- Waypoints putting you in the opposite direction that you really want to be facing. (/u/nexzen)
- Guild chat resets and is no longer visible in the log when you switch characters. I don’t even know why this is a thing when no other chat element does this. FF14 lets you use chat while in cut scenes and loading screens, that’s a nice feature. (/u/Faervhan)
- Party chat still likes to disappear when you leave parties. (/u/Faervhan)
- Having to double click almost everything inventory related. (/u/Porturan)
- Party members are blocking the waypoint when they’re inside it’kittenbox. (/u/JamicaXD)
- Human male thighs.. like …THEY’RE NOT NORMAL! o_O Sylvari male huge shoulders, butts, and deformed boots while wearing anything non-cultural. Charr tail clipping. (/u/Sethroque)
- There’s a limit to how much you can type in the search bar in the new tp. So if I wanted to search for something like, Berserker’s Orichalcum Imbued Inscription, I could probably only fit the first two words and a bit of the third. You can still find what you’re looking for most of the time, it just irks me. (/u/meguzara)
- Not being able to consume stacks of essences of luck at a time. I clear out my inventory and that nets me like 40 essences of luck at 10 luck each. Give me a “consume all” option so I don’t have to put 80 clicks on my mouse. (/u/mspahr4)
- I can’t see my own title. They went to the trouble of making every other character’s title in the game show up on my screen over their head, but I literally don’t know what title my characters are using. I never see it and forget. I don’t give a fig about other people’s titles; I didn’t work to get them. Titles are great. I enjoy them. I want to see my own title. I know it’s possible, my mesmer clones have titles. (/u/Typetoupe)
- If you want to use account-wide items like ascended gear, unlimited gathering tools or toys with several characters, you have to constantly trade the items in the bank. Instead, those should have collections in the bank that allow you to take copies of them out individually with each character. (/u/MithranArkanere)
- My resizing inventory window. (/u/rich-platinum-ore)
- The players that want me to have 5000 Achievement Points for running a dungeon with them. (/u/Monkeibusiness)
- The Birthday Blaster should be account bound, not soul bound. (/u/Facekillz)
- Minis have a collector title when they are not even a collection. But spoons are. (/u/ChentallyMallenged)
- When you click a waypoint and the dialog appear, if you double click that wp again and port there, the dialog will still be active after you ported. (/u/disarm76)
- Character sounds are gone as of the September patch. Including condition/buff/death sounds. I can hear other players’, but not my own. (/u/SWyman89)
- I find it mildly annoying that in a game whose end-game is apparently mostly driven by cosmetics, I can’t pull up a large, rotatable view of other characters. I don’t really care about seeing the stats on their gear, but I want to clearly see the skins on their gear. Instead, I have to jiggle my camera around and the person usually buggers off before I can get a good look at them.
This also has a very mild dampening effect on my own play. What’s the point of working incredibly hard to get a rare skin if just about no one will ever notice or see it? I wish GW2 had an “inspect” feature similar to WoW’s, though I understand not wanting gear stats to show. (/u/OhSoProfessorial) - Not being able to choose what overflow to join. (/u/shinitakunai)
that mildly annoy me
and the rest of Reddit.
Hey guys!
Yesterday I posted a thread on Reddit. My intentions were to humorously shed light on the smaller and non-trivial things of the game that mildly annoys the players. I went to bed with around 20 comments and woke up to 200. There were alot of feedback on bigger things like “little build diversity for engineers” etc, which were far from the point of the thread. I have therefore gone through all comments and added those I felt were appropriate.
I dont mean this list as a “omfg anet l2dev”. Far from it. I primarily just want to have a little laugh about those small irks we all have taught ourselves to go around, but also to inform the great people at Arenanet of these digital equivalents to that itch on your back you just cant seem to satisfy.
As an interaction designer, I know it takes a long time to map all possible faults in a system through usability tests. I hope you guys at Arenanet can use some of the things in this list to improve the game we all love. If not, I hope at least you will enjoy it as well
This first section are my own points, and further down you will see the comments made by some of the users on reddit.
- If you do a movement skill that does damage at the end and you hit certain items, you get in combat. E.g.: timed bombs between Lupi and Alphard in Arah p2, but some items that dont do damage can do this as well.
- Waypoint tooltips dont update when you get out of combat. This is super annoying in dungeons when you wait for your teammates to get ooc so you can use the waypoint. Having to move the cursors in and out of the waypoint icon is mildly frustrating.
- Cutscenes closes all your active UI elements. If I want to retrait for Lupi or swap out my weapons and some teammate start the fight, I have to open the Hero tab again after the cutscene is done.
- Speaking of cutscenes, it does not “tickle me fancy” when I cant press esc to skip the cutscene. Nor does it when the cutscene cant be skipped.
- Skills cant be swapped if they have a cooldown. If you got useless stuff on cooldown before a fight, like Shadow Refuge or Portal or something, you have to either sacrifice that utility slot, or you have to wait for the cooldown to wear off. I dont mind the replacing skills to have the same cooldown, but let us at least swap them out.
- Continuing with skills and cooldowns, sometimes the replacing utilities get the same cooldown as a “cooldowning” utility. I believe this is a bug, but worth mentioning here.
- When I search in the wardrobe and click another category on the left, the search gets reset and I need to type it all over again.
- Spinning death camera is back. I dont like it one bit. It confuses me.
- Auto-login from the launcher was changed and I frown every time I need to click “Login”.
- Trading Post won’t let you buy more than 250 of something.
- Cannot copy text from the chat.
- The General achievement tab is a mess.
- Warrior Greatsword skill 5 makes your character run in place if you’re not inside a huge enemy, like Lupi.
I would just like to add this very constructive macro image
Just wanted to let you know that I am currently on a MacBook Air with Yosemite 10.10 Beta 2. I tried installing it once and got stuck at a frozen launcher. I restarted the application and retried. Same result. Didnt want to waste any more time.
Tried again today, same result. Let it stay there for a few minutes. Now downloading.
Patience, young grasshopper
It will not reset, no
No. The API does not support character or account data. Yet. The only thing the two before-mentioned skins.json and skin_details.json do is returning a list of all the unique skins in the game, and give us details about them.
Wow, way to derail the thread, you two. Take it to PMs, maybe?
+1
I came here to read the devs’ replies to the new awesome APIs, not to read another discussion between forum users. We have that enough already.
I noticed all of the items in the tool I created (gw2wardrobe.com) suddenly had weird names. Looking forward to a fix, and thank you for informing us
You’ve done a great job, Allie!
I quickly browsed through the API category to see if there were any threads like this. I must’ve missed yours.
As you say, we propose two different approaches to basically the same end-result. I agree that your suggestion seems alot easier to implement.
Let us cross our fingers and hope for a response from the devs.
Hello
I recently started the development of gw2wardrobe which I intend to make the go-to source for players who seek to fill their wardrobe 100% or players who wonder how to acquire certain items.
I am currently using both the GW2 official API and gw2spidy’s API in order to get easier access to item data. However, calling gw2spidy’s API for all armor items, I get 7418 results back. Lots of these items share the same look, making the majority of the items redundant.
I started this thread with questions in mind, but turned it around to include suggestions instead.
I would love to see an API for the wardrobe. Kind of like items, but with skins instead.
- https://api.guildwars2.com/v1/wardrobe.json would return a JSON object with all the different looks there are in the game.
- https://api.guildwars2.com/v1/wardrobeDetails.json?item_id=1234 would return details about a specific skin. It could also include an array of item IDs for the items that have this particular skin.
- I would also love to see some order in the returned object, so we could with a few lines of code automatically sort the items in the order they appear in the wardrobe. This could either be the order they are returned in the JSON object from wardrobe.json, or as an integer property in wardrobeDetails.json.
I know this would take hours and hours of work off my shoulders, not having to create a database manually.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this matter. And I feel I should thank all the devs. for their work. We all appreciate the great job you are doing for the developer community!
The leaderboard and the constant challenge of other players are what I think keeps it interesting.
I can’t talk for everyone, but the leaderboard doesn’t interest me at all when playing PvP.
it’s nice to have, but I don’t play because of it.
True. I was mostly talking about the mid-high end PvPers. The top might not be interested in the rank on the leaderboards, as they compete in tournaments anyways.
There is a well-known fact that players tend to get tired of the current end-game content. That goes for every MMO ever made.
There you go.
What do you change with a permanent SAB?
Would it be permanent, I wouldn’t play it at the moment. Due to the same reason I’m not doing any dungeons apart from some quick runs for gold. The way it currently is, I’m hyped for this thing to return and I’m going to spend waaay to much time in there. This wouldn’t be the case with permanent content though.
Don’t get me wrong. I myself consider the current state of the game to be lacking regarding permanent content. But adding just another thing to the heap of stuff where we have little reason to return to won’t help.
Regarding leaderboards, already without them you have people recording themselfs and their time to do competitions. I can’t see this being a high priority.
Which is why Im proposing they adding a leaderboard. Even though we havent seen much change in tPvP the last year, other than some new maps, there are still alot of people playing PvP. The leaderboard and the constant challenge of other players are what I think keeps it interesting.
Of course we will eventually be tired of SAB as well if it was permanent, but there would be alot more to the current end-game. Also, if it was permanent, I would not feel forced to be overplaying SAB, which I am probably going to when the next SAB patch hits just because I know in a month it will disappear.
After I wrote another SAB related thread yesterday, my creativity started flowing thinking of how awesome it would be to have a SAB (Super Adventure Box) leaderboard.
SAB has been a temporary “Jumping Puzzle dungeon”. As many of the other temporary dungeons in the Living Story, people have disagreed with the fact that Anet removes them after the LS moves on. I see the point of the Living Story, and I understand why there are temporary content, but to be it looks like SAB has been by far the temporary dungeon with the most work put in. As a jumping puzzle enthusiast, I think it would suck for this great content to only be playable for a short amount of time.
Relics of Orr wrote an article titled What Ever Happened to Dungeons?, which I thought was an interesting read. They barely touch upon the subject of temporary vs permanent dungeons, which is my point in this thread. I would love to see more permanent content. There is a well-known fact that players tend to get tired of the current end-game content. That goes for every MMO ever made. I understand what Anet is trying to do by not giving us the chance of getting tired of this content through making it temporary, but I do not think it is a good idea doing this for basically every Living Story patched dungeon. Granted, we have seen the return of the Aetherblades dungeon and Molten Facility as they were implemented in Fractals of the Mist, but to me it just dont feel the same.
My suggestion!
When the last planned patch of SAB ends, the dungeon cluster should stay, but with an added layer of PvP. As there are three modes (baby mode, normal mode and tribulation mode), there could be another called racing mode (in lack of a better name). This would be a single player mode with a timer that starts when the player can move and act like a stop watch with laps, showing the total time and the time for each of the zones completed thus far. The timer would stop when the boss of every level is defeated and the cage is opened.
Of course there would be a leaderboard! I took the liberty of making a few screenshots. (If clicking links are too scary, please see the attached screenshots below).
Screenshot 1
Screenshot 2
By doing this, hardcore jumpers, like myself, would still have a challenge; the PvP. I did not like the “dumbing” down of Tribulation Mode last patch (excuse me if I step on somebody’s toes), as I felt things became too easy. Having a timer and the challenge of beating other equally hardcore players, I think would be a great addition.
I would love to hear your thoughts on the subject. Would a competitive approach to SAB be something you would be interested in?
Hello
TL;DR:
- I wish TM for the next SAB chapter could be as challenging as (or even more than) the TM was pre-noobdown
- When will SAB return?
This is a thread from a jumping enthusiast. In my gaming carreer, I have, among other games, acquainted Counter-Strike Source, where I spent my last year of playing it jumping around in special maps designed for that kinda stuff. In other words, I love jumping. The first thing I did when I hit 80 was to complete all the jumping puzzles in GW2.
When SAB first came out almost a year ago, I was thrilled. I loved it and spent hours and hours playing it until the Living Story moved on. When SAB then reappeared 5 months later with a Tribulation Mode, I went absolutely berserk. The first week or so when TM was actually really challenging, was the best. I did not like the dumbing down of it, even though I understand the reasoning behind it. I hope with all of my heart that the next Super Adventure Box patch will have an even impossibler (yes, it’s a word) Tribulation Mode. I’m looking at you, Mr. SAB-creator-I-cant-remember-the-name-of-at-the-top-of-my-head.
Which brings me to my real question. Will we see SAB’s return for the april patch?
Also, please enjoy my most frustrating moment in the history of SAB, after what felt like a 2 hour long TM run only ending in me disconnecting… here…
Still impressive. Well done both of you

Hellow
I just managed it to solo brie)
Just kill those mobs before they kill the terminal, its quite tricky;
you have to watch for the deadeyes because they either knock you out of the godmode or run themselfes out of it, you can get obstructed to lure them to you.
Than the 3 Technicans, mostly aggroed by grubs, you can kite them around those corners ,so that they cast there stuns against the wall, and dmg them.(anyway take stability with you, it helps with the deadeyes too)
Its tricky to watch the terminal meanwhile, cause the berserkers cleave and deadeyes (not sure of it hits the terminal) pierces.
Anyways i like that change! it makes the kinda dull fight way more interessting for groups as for solos.
Good direction to make dungeons more challenging (i like the alphard change aswell)but for kittens sake, PLEASE FIX THE EXPLOITS its a HUUUGE exploit because ppl make lots of money with it, and screw legit seller
Based on this I bought the recipe and the mats for endless toy soldier tonic in hopes it would give me the plush griffon tonic. Everything was according to the recipe. It made an endless toy soldier tonic.
Maybe you overlooked the recipe for endless plush griffon tonic the first time around and had it all along
As of now, it looks like you need to re-buy those that you consumed.
It seems so. To be honest, I think that is annoying as I bought my recipe for 2.5g while there were 33 on the TP. Now there are 9 on the TP and the cheapest is 43g.
Does anyone know if we’re still able to aquire Plush Griffon Frames? It is needed for the MF recipe, which is my backup plan. I just hope we’re still able to get those.
If not I will be disappointed
I thought the only way to get that tonic was in the MF with a griffon frame and such
I think I read something about the MF is still a working option, but the crafting recipes were added so there wont be that RNG aspect to it. I could be wrong tho.
And yeah, I will just wait and see what happens. Too bad as I really wanna be a plush griffon with a plush griffon mini!
Okay, Ive searched reddit and it seems Im not the only one with this problem. Hope when the fix arrives it will work in retrospec
Im obsessed with that furry little kitten and decided to buy a recipe for the Endless Plush Griffon Tonic on the TP. I grabbed my artificer, fetched it from the TP NPC, double-clicked, ran over to the artificing station, searched for “griffon”, nothing. I tried all kinds of words. I wondered if it was a bug and that it was applied to huntsman instead. Nothing there either. I then noticed the chat and saw that I learned a totally different recipe than what the recipe name said. See attached file.
I feel misinformed and tricked, or have I just missed a message saying these recipes are out of date or something?
Would appreciate any feedback the community or the QAs got. Thanks!
Happy wintersday
I have noticed lately that whenever I am in a party of 2 or more, I dont have the option to merge parties. Was it like this before or is this a reaction from Anet so people cannot abuse the “merge parties” instance kick?
Good range, aoe dmg, group heal (water field) and sustained dps on staff. Some reflects on focus. Can also be very handy on Old Tom in the uncategorized fractal. Summoning a stone golem and stacking the melees behind him will let you avoid the spinning unblockable projectiles on the floor.
An ele cannot replace a guard in terms of reflects, but if you already got a guard in your group, eles are quite handy mainly due to the aoe, dps and group heals
Wow.. That is awkward. That’s a sign on how little I’ve been playing with the focus on my ele. 300h played and still not unlocked every skill. Not that strange I got fooled since I even got the skill info.
Thank you guys for the feedback!
I have had a weird bug on my elementalist where Obsidian Flesh (#5 skill on focus in earth attunement) will not activate. On hover the white-yellow-ish glowing border is not present and when I click it nothing happens.
I have tried
- Re-equipping
- Relogging
- Other focuses (foci?)
- Have no skills on cooldown (at first I thought it might be a bug associated with Mist Form)
Still nothing. This problem is only occuring in PvE.
Any ideas?
Heya!
WoodenPotatoes got a pretty decent guide for a build. Watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVqU9-Rrack
Alot is still relevant, but I would change the traits a bit. I usually go for 0 30 0 10 30 with fresh air and evasive arcana. The rest is pretty standard. Spec for alot of dps and you’re golden. I would however go S/D as I feel it is a bit better in terms of survivability and dps, but might be subjective. You can experiment yourself.
For staff builds I would go 30 0 0 10 30 (because I love evasive arcana), but you could also go 30 30 0 10 0 if you want to go heavier on the dps. The lightning trait line is kinda useless for staff imo, but I know some good eles that hug to this setup for some reason. Id go with bloodlust sigil and might when you use a fire skill.
In both setups I would use the 10 in water for condi cleanse, but that’s also subjective. You could go for 10 in earth instead and spec more damage when you’re closer to the target, but that wouldnt work well with the staff spec.
That’s at least how I build my ele

And yes, that is a good point. We’ll have to wait and see, I guess
This has been on my mind for a while and it’s regarding the kick from guild option.
We can all agree that kicking someone from the guild is kind of a big thing and usually not an everyday activity. So my first point isn’t exactly a bug, but something I would love to see get changed: guild kick option in party window. Why is that there? I cant tell how many times I’ve kicked friends from the guild instead of from the party.
But the thing I actually wanted to mention was kicking from a guild you’re not representing. I have a primary guild (about 200 members) and a team guild where 4 of my friends are, most of them from my primary guild. If I want to kick someone from my team guild and they happen to be in my primary guild (which Im representing), it will kick them from my primary guild. And that even if I right click them in the guild I want to kick them from.
I feel as though this shouldn’t work this way. It’s not logical. If I want to kick a guildie from a specific guild, it should matter from which guild in the guild panel I choose “kick”, not which guild I represent.
I wouldn’t say this is a huge issue, but I know many people have done the mistake of kicking people from their guild instead of party, and from the wrong guild due to representing a different guild. Though a change would be very satisfying.
Ive held several 1v1 inhouse cups within my guild. It has been alot of fun and with our custom arena it’s been very convenient. Last sunday I wanted to try something different and said it was going to be a 2v2 instead, on Forest of Niflhel between spawnpoints. To say like Borat, great success! After a while I started noticing something. It had more of a 2v2 team deathmatch feel to it, and everyone was so pumped up.
I come from Lotro where I didnt care much for PvP. It was basically a zerg or several guildies running around slaying soloers, making it very hard to run around alone. It is basically the same thing with WvW, but in WvW it’s been done alot better. Im still not a huge fan of WvW, but that is because of my interests. I enjoy smaller, fairer fights.
Team fights in tPvP are fun, but at times I lose the overview and it gets a kittenaotic. I really loved the 2v2 feel of the inhouse cup I hosted, and I would love to see more of that, but in the form of a game mode.
I suggest a Team Deathmatch with 4 teams. Either 2v2, 3v3 or 5v5. I think the biggest of them, 5v5, might get too chaotic, but fun nontheless. I imagine a small and square map where spawns are in the corners, but it wont take long to run to the middle. The teams will have different colors on their names so you can see the difference. Something like red, green and yellow.
This will be a new competative game mode and there will be great rewards, just like in the 8-team tournaments of the old days. Leaderboards and such I dont know about. I wouldnt focus on that at first, as I imagine that might slow down the development of this new game form.
I think that would be alot of fun. Hope this gets heard.
I lost my internet mid-update and when I restarted the launcher it thought it was fully updated. Now whenever I start the game it crashes before I get to character selection. This is the error message:
—> Crash <—
Exception: c0000005
Memory at address 00000000 could not be read
…. and more stuff I doubt is that relevant.
Is there a way I can re-update last patch, or do I have to re-download the whole game? Which would take about 3 and a half years on this backup connection.
Thanks
By “everyone” he means the 20% that died
But now, Níah is mine, muahhahaha
Serious Crash of GW2 tribulation mode

I think you missed my first paragraph. If SAB instances followed the same mechanics as normal dungeon instances, then people would be able to sell the hard earned TM achievements for ingame gold.
The desicion is very DC unfriendly, but if you compare it to how it would be if they let the whole party join the instance, then it would be much worse

This is by design. If you could rejoin then people might start selling the TM achievements just as they are selling normal dungeons.
I know your pain tho, but you dont have to act like a little [insert whatever word you want here] about it
This is where I DCed after 1,5h of tribulation moding through 2-2

I agree with OP. I loved the pre-nerf content as it was challenging and not everyone around could do it. I think Anet should be bold and be clear on that not all achievements are for everybody. I love JPs and I love SAB because I think Im good at it. Having TM on farm doesnt make me feel that speshul anymore
People who, as you so nicely put it, have lives shouldnt aim to get all the achievements. That’s just my 5 cents.
