My guess is the best way to do this would be to buy a physical copy of the game and give them the receipt

Have you got any automated response it took a day for my first one then a few more for for any others took 7 days before the restore process started

I have already done that and I do want another restore as most of my toons have lost all their exotic/ascended gear . I was just wondering if there was a delay originally till i started noticing things had changed from yesterday. Thank you though!

Also sorry for using the term mass incorrectly, as the number that I have been seeing in game and on the forums seemed greater than usual too me, but rest assured I am well aware that hacks can randomly happen too.

I didnt mean first ever.. I meant one of the first in the past few weeks, where some of the hacks have a shared trait of no compromised emails or different ip log ins. I will be more clear for you next time, my apologies.

My whole process took about 1 week, all i got for the first 5 days were automated email and I was one of the first few to post about being hacked so I can only imagine its backed up more now, they will ask you to check if anyone has logged into your email which most provide and ip tracker to see if someone else has, the current case seems to be no emails have been compromised and the game log ins from hackers are from chinese ip.

They are also busy dealing with gem refunds but imo mass hacks seem like they are prolly a higher priority so are hopefully getting some extra attention.

From what I have gathered they restored it to the wrong day, yesterday evening I aqurired an ascended ring that was account bound, it is no longer in the inventory, and my fotm I got from 10 to 11 yesterday, is now down to 10 again, It appears they have restored it to a date differing from the one we agreed upon in the email, my entire ordeal has made me lose alot of respect for the company as I have played since gw1 and never had an issue.

I had my restore done but nothing has changed, they said they restored it to april 19th which would be before my hacking, but I still have no gear, gold, anything

I have recieved an email stating my account would be restored back to april 19th, and its been over and hour and it still has not been restored I am just curious if it takes longer or is something wrong

All I have gotten are auto mated apologies id like to get something more than automated its been days now

I just checked my email account accesses and it looks like there was not access other then my ip so i am rescanning my pc again looking for key loggers. but my password for my account was never typed on this computer it was copy and pasted from a flash drive, but ya still looking

I am showing the same thing on my end but mine was typed, no keyloggers 1 week old window install

No usb soundcards are too slow to do 24 bit you need onboard or a sound card for tha

I have done this and confirmed that my email account has not been compromised as I mentioned abobce care to expain how they got the info

They are currently backed up a bit this seems to be a pretty big one this time

The email linked to my account has not been compromised and only has log in attempts from me, this is on your end please advise how to keep your game safe from hackers when I am following all protocols, and even with email verification for different IP this still managed to happen. I can provide screen shots with my email log once its been blacked out for privacy, this is on your end not the users.

Ive been waiting over 24 hours and have yet to get a response from anet this is just awful support

@anet, you told me to make sure my computer was secure I have ran all antivirus and have no issues and my OS is freshly installed as of last week, so please let me know how this is not on your end and on my end….

They have to remove yours too add one with a code generated by yours you are safe if you have one, but I didnt have one and the kittens added one to my account now im in that limbo you were worried about

I had this exact issue my password was changed a few times last night and showed multiple account accesss, log in today gear is gone and everything, but its been everytime i log in to forums now my pw is changed, fresh install of windows no malware no viruses

So they have also added an authenticator to my account which I cannot remove I found the IP and it is from china

To be clear, Guild Wars 2 does support surround, if you have speakers and hardware to support it, like what nuggant has.

The problem StinVec is referring to is if you set the game to Surround but only have 2 speakers, you will lose sounds since it’s trying to route the audio to speakers that don’t exist.

Is it possible to add a option in the audio tab that allows one to change their speaker configuration?

From what I have seen the only way to change the speaker config for the game is to change the auido source speaker config

Ok ampris try turning the audio settings in the game to the far left on the sliders, 16 bit audio will work its just not that great, that may eliminate your audio issues.

I have a dolby usb dongle i plugged in and i can only use the stereo option and 16 bit not 24 bit, so you must be relying on logitech software to virtualize the surround channels if yours is similar

You may not even be able to change it from stereo for all I know I do not own a pair hopefully he will post back with results.

i just bought the logitech g35 which came highly recommended. its a USB and will be plugged into my p8p67 mobo. i have a ati 5850 video card and it has some ports but im not sure if i should use them or just the regular usb ports.

so once i plug this bad boy in and install the software, how do i get it running in gw2? is it an option in game? is it something i have to do with the headset software? is it something i have to do in a txt file for gw2?

Thats what I thought you meant I was explaining receiver options for surround sound you will not see them with headphones nor would you use an hdmi for audio with those. No files to edit, that uses a usb connection just plug it in and install drivers if they do not install automatically,

1 look at your windows task bar you will see a speaker icon,
2 right click it and pick playback devices
3 you should a list of audio devices one will be your headphones locate it and right click and select properties
4 go to the advanced tab and look for default format and set that to 24 bit and 44000khz or 48000khz click apply and ok
5 you will be back at the source menu again select the device you are using, and right click it, this time pick configure speakers.
6 change the number of speakers in the drop down bar accordingly if there are more options than the default 2 channel, you should get a 7. 1 or a 5.1 go through the menus after dont change the other settings then hit apply and ok.

That is it you should then have 24 bit multichannel audio as opposed to 16 bit 2 channel audio.

Also you asked about the difference between stereo and multichannel. When referring to audio a stereo setup is where all channels get the exact same signal how clubs are and how people listen to music. where as multi channel would be each channel getting the sound it needs when it needs it, keeping noises separated creating surround sound. So I have 7 speakers if i listen to music my reciver is set to output all channel stereo, 7 channels all identical, but if im playing games it is in multichannel to create the surround sound effect

If you are using a surround sound set up and only getting 2 channel check the sound adapters properties and make sure windows has it set to 5.1 or 7.1 respectivly, windows 8.1 seems to have more options for 5.1 to pick if you have back or side speakers, but if you have windows set to surround sound and the game you will get a multichannel source out.
