I like the new meteorologicus but I still feel that Anet should do something about the lack of trail. (Honestly I really like the bugged night trail and I wish they would just keep it all the time; its beautiful). It makes no sense that there isn’t a normal trail in the daytime.

I like the new footfall but I think it has 2 major problems. Firstly, the clouds should come before the lightning, and the cloud should be bigger. At the moment I barely notice the clouds, and with something like meteorologicus, the emphasis should be on the clouds, not on the lightning.

My other problem with the footfalls is that they just don’t fit the daytime version. I would love it if they would just switch the dark clouds and the lightning with normal white clouds. We know that the normal cloud texture is already exists since its on the weapon in the daytime.

Despite this, I really like the improvements on meteorologicus and have started working towards making my own in game.

I just beat Tequatl for my first time. The fight itself was epic and i really enjoyed it, but the rewards where really bad. I only got one rare. That doesn’t seem like it was worth the 60 min I put into it. A guaranteed exotic for beating him seems like a great improvement.
Even though the fight was amazing, I’m not sure if people will keep coming back after the event is over if the rewards aren’t revamped

You assume that people need to know what to do. until then , VOIP is much easier and much faster way to coordinate groups of people who just showed up and haven’t bothered to get any info on the event and who don’t read map chat. And there’s plenty of those people.
I’m not saying that everyone will use teamspeak or whatnot, but the more ppl actually do it, the better results will come out. Same for WvW, same for dunegons, VOIP is an advantage. Typing takes time and can get you killed. Simple as that.

I agree. I never said that VoIP isn’t an advantage (it’s a huge one and was probably the reason they succeeded) but I said that when enough people understand what to do (which will take time) we won’t need it. I think it’s the main reason why so many runs of Tequatl are failing, and why he seems so hard right now.

I’m not saying that VoIP doesn’t make it easier, it really does. I’m saying that I don’t think it’s required. A lot of people on the forums are saying that Tequatl is too hard because you will always need a VoIP with 120 people to coordinate enough to beat him. I wrote this post to try to argue that eventually, once enough people understand what to do, we won’t need VoIP to succeed. I believe that in a week or so, we will see the amount of groups beating the event go up drastically.

After Blackgate beat teq, a lot of people have been saying that the event is too hard because it requires too much coordination and is only possible with 120 people on VoIP. After watching the video, I don’t feel like this is the case. For the most part, the main thing blackgate did was positioning, and positioning isn’t something that requires VoIP.

In the runs I participated in, 50% of the people where at the turrets, which amounted to a lot of wasted DPS. Even the people damaging teq himself were really spread out, making it hard to cleanse the poison around them, and to buff them. Blackgate on the other hand had most of the people at teq, and they where clumped up in one big ball. That way it was easy to buff them, and the amount of poison pools the turrets had to cleanse was much lower.

This is something that i think a zerg will be able to learn with time, like how most people learned to go to the safe spots in the Claw of Jormag fight. Once people learn where they should stand, more people will start succeeding more.

Once enough people group together, even people who didn’t know they had to group up will join the group because of the zerg mentality.

Also because you can chain mega lasers, i think the fight is easier than it seems. Its much harder to get from 100% to 75% than from 75% to 50%.

TL;DR: I don’t think the fight is really as hard as it seems and doesn’t really require an ungodly amount of coordination.

I agree with OP, the new dagger skins are really disappointing. While the sacrificial blade has a cool looking model, i would still like something with particle effects. The main problem with daggers is that they are really small, so you can hardly tell the difference between the new daggers and random dagger #3214 (especially on an asura). Daggers are already the weapon type with the fewest cool looking skins and i was really annoyed that all the new skins where sub par (though the new sovereign dagger is pretty awesome).

Song of Storms isn’t what you wrote there, it’s actually impossible to play alone in bell choir because you only have one octave. however you could easily play song of time or saria’s song on it
