on mursaat you can epi 2-3 times. first from the statue that comes into your zerg before it dies, then from one of 3 soldiers and then again from the statue near zerg before it dies.
on deimos you have saul and prides to epi from, kitten dmg.
sabetha is awesome too, lots of adds.
sloth is okayish but wont beat a good ele, big hitbox.
KC you wont beat ele ever.
matthias you will beat ele and if you dont die you can beat condi mes with a good roll.
xera has tons of adds, you can beat ele.
vg and gorse you probably wont beat ele, first has no toughness and second has big hitbox.
cairn depends if some of you get red aoe but i’d say you can beat ele
samarog you can compete because it moves but its a big hitbox so im not sure.this list obviously assumes perfect rotation with epis whenever applicable. if you take ice bow you will beat almost all bosses but that only proves ele is still great because it contributes to team dps a lot.
(that being said i know condi ranger stacking is better, people pls shut up already)
Do you speak about cleave dmg or do you assume that you got a second necro in the group?
Also why would samarog move if you got perfect rotations ect.?

Nothing Wrong with current system. The other Tracks are locked aswell unless you complete a certain task

The story dungeons are easier now that we have elite specs, however, the explorable ones still require a party.
Can i have your source on this?
Players are not being challenged by actually learning a class, players now play like robots on classes. HOT specs destroyed the identity of this game and vast increase in spam turn players into mindless key board spammers who dont know classes so asking a robot to switch off of staff would of caused it to overload and explode.
While Dungeons/Fractals encouraged “Skillfull” gameplay for example swotching weapons for movement, might stacking pre casting or higher burst, Raids are just doing the rotation on huge HP sponges. But since the old content fracs/dungs got nerfed into the ground/ trivialized by HoT builds ect. there is no pve content that encourages you to become better.
pre hot ftfy was better than 100 cm? or 100 in general?
Pre Hot fractals weren’t focused on bossfights. They were like dungeons where you could safe alot of time with good portals ect. Also pre HoT the fractal bosses killed you if you were ignoring the mechanics completely, what i cant say about fractals in current state with the tonics that reduce incoming damage. Also the randomness kept them interresting.
pages are useful for grinding out specific armor pieces to complete a set…. if the cost was in line with other acquisition methods (crafting). but it’s more expensive. I think it’s a good idea to keep ascended vendors using pages personally and don’t see a reason anet would change that to pristines or something, so maybe they’ll retune the vendors to something more enticing.
on the other hand, the random drops of ascended gear I’ve gotten over the past 4 years add up to me owning about 12 (or maybe 15) sets now and that’s why I generally pass on working towards a specific gear piece that takes about a week of doing an hour more of repetitive fractals… I just don’t need it. I’m sure a lot of the players who pass are in my boat, perhaps not with quite so many complete sets of gear but still feeling saturated.

I found the endboss too ez, I mean you get rezzed from down midfight lol
Ranger – Can be played as Condi Druid, Condi Ranger, Power Druid and Heal Druid
Which Vendor? Fractal/Raids??
If by ideal you mean dealing out the highest damage while staying alive I think of 2 possible outcomes:
Condition Team:
Burnzerker and 4 Viper Necros
Is this a joke?
Hello,
The best setup is almost always double Ele. But if you want to make it easier you could take some class with utility. I would recommend mesmer, he has a lot control abilitys gives alacrity + quickness, has access to blocks reflects boon and condi removes. But on the other Hand he has verry low damage.
did you guys started the game a week ago?
Thats exactly what I felt while watching his other posts in the past
Why do you use staff in dungeons Grille? You blamed me once for saying staff is bettar than fresh air
For Underwater fractal take 2 eles
I wonder if this is restricted, since 3rd party recording software got used
And if Anet stops nerfing Classes not called Eles and stops buffing Eles we could see more variety.
Necro is their main target for nerfs lol
Fixed it.
1 nerf and you start crying lmao.. Ele got nerfed so often over the years
Probably because of this:
Elementalist has been top DPS the entirety of GW2’s life (and in the past it was far higher than it is now). First it was Fiery Greatsword’s rush skill into walls (massive AoE damage stacked on top of itself), then it was Frostbow (very high AoE damage, especially strong against bosses, at the time – the longest stun in the game – and each elementalist was able to spawn two at a time) and now we have not one but two elementalist playstyles topping the DPS rankings. This on top of all the utility baked into the elementalist’s attunement and overload designs, and to a lesser extent their utilities.
Every profession has had nerfs since launch but elementalist is the only profession to remain the top the entire time.
Necro is incredible tanky. That has to be changed if they want to be high dps.
Quick question. Why do you kill dungeon bosses open field and not in fgs corners??
Because the reasons to do so don’t exist anymore.
Same goes for thoose compositions i guess

If you are trying to get your character raidready here are a few tipps.
Gear: you should have atleast Ascended Trinkets.
Amulet from laurels
Backpack from PvP Tickets
Rings from Fractal Relics
Accessories from Guild Commendations
Armor/Weapons can be exotic (and later bought/dropped in raids)
Masteries: for Raids you will need Gliding Masteries, Raid Masteries.
I farmed my exp for the masteries by doing a few daily Challenges (~1million exp/daily) since I am too lazy to farm
For Heropoints i would advice to find a group which does thoose
It’s still the same easy boring content that they made out of it since HoT…
I think it’s the same reason why people don’t understand that Leadership runes are 1000x better than chronomancer runes. They just check and see what metabattle says.
Ok show me how you give permaquickness without chronorunes…
In my recent pugs i had 3 Chronos who played this build. And all 3 still died with it… I dont think there is a point of using this build.
Though they fixed the toughness scaling in fractals, folks are still taking reapers there.
Dragonhunters now do more dps than tempests for small hitbox targets and are great in fractals and raids for their protection spamming on skills.
Tempests are still going to win on bosses with a large hitbox because of meteor shower and glyph of storms. However, they are by far the most versatile class. You have three ways to do good power dps, two ways to heal, and can also tank and condi. The more classes you can do, the easier it is to get into a raid group so do not limit yourself too much. But all three of these work in both fractals and raids.
Remember you have Breakbars in fracs
Where can i like this recordrun?
I guess you were answering me.
and lift off some stress from your healer
Seems like you missunderstood me. With all thoose defensive Options i listed, there is no preassure on the healer to heal you.
As Chronomancer you have 3 Blocks, 2 Dodges, 1 Evade on sword, 1 Distortion (up to 3 if Blurred Inscriptions).
I am not sure why you would need even more Defensive Options.
I play zerker thief in t4s daily and doing more than fine, never understood whole necro stacking thing – we kill bosses there just as fast with random groups consisting of anything really. Yes, having necro for boon thief is nice, but 1 is more than sufficient, imo.
I also melee most bosses so idk what you are talking about. Especially bosses you named – they are easiest to melee in fact (mai is cone – stabby stabby her in the back, shaman has obvious animations to dodge – drop dat smoke screen in his face, arch – just poke him in the back 24/7). Only bosses i range is like molten duo when my entire team is dead and i have to solo the boss or chaos fractal because boss needs to be kited 24/7.Oh funny story! As a theif you can steal the invulnerable whiskey from the chaos boss. So while hes channeling his big aoe doom spin and pull ( he does this at 50% then every 18sec) you can drink whiskey right infront of him and laugh as you take nothing.
Or you just do your job as thief and cc this attack..
Yup! That too, let everyone know before hand you’ll call out the breakbar move (copy and paste it) then at 52% hp call that it’s incoming then again after counting to 18 untill hes dead
If you have warrior in party he can ping headbutt when it runs off cd aince it has same cd
I’d love t5 fractals, scale back the toughness boost, get rid of boon thieves, make things hit like a truck again. Something that isn’t made for easy daily pugging but actually challenging 5man content.
Well nowadays the trashmobs hit like a truck xD

challenging content like fractals
Lol
eh
Hot took everything somewhat challenging out of Fractals
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Virtue_of_Retribution
Sounds rly Painfull
Or just take condi war+ condi engi
can you check power necro dps? since it’s better in burst dungeon/low fotm situations and it would be cool to know how much is it exactly
Hey,
yea it would be interesting to see what power necro can pull of. I’ll give power Necro a try. However I’m still on holidays for another week.Probably I can get someone else to do it as well
I guess you should take atleast on your holidays a break from game/forum!
challenging content like fractals
Lol
I will however admit this was one of those 170 mastery groups, so they definitely had their dodge button binded somewhere.
I can’t see any correlation between mastery points and Bloomy performance. Had more than enough 170s who apparently didn’t even know that a dodge ability exists.
Its the new AP filter xD
Swamp is the best content they made since HoT
The Dredgehaunt Lynx Refuge Sign seems to be bugged aswell. I tried yesterday completing events there. But at the WP there is an Event that is struck at 5% Jotun Moral.
They were recently in gemshop so there is no point for this.
For fractals Engi is almost always OP. For Raidsi would choose Revenant
Staff or D/x
I dont like scepter due to the AA, that “requires” a target and has no cleave.
Anet won’t add this because they are interested in forcing you to play a game mode you do not want to play.
Because “Play your way” and all that.
And which part of a Legendary forces me to play spvp?
… yadda yadda yadda …
I find the 15000 gap fair exactly because of the reason stated above, it allows people to catch up. I’ve been here since beta too but I cant come online every day as I have other stuff to do. Now should people like me who cant play every day be perpetually falling behind? I don’t think so.
Also, Ethan, from the way you write in this thread you seem like a rather rude person and thus I’ve no sympathy at all
You ask the question so i’ll answer it. DO i think people like you who can’t play everyday be perpetually falling behind ? YES- It is pretty much the concept in any facet of life. How do u not understand that?
You say u want to catch up…..WHAT exactly are you wanting to catch up too… when did this become a race between u and i?
You call me rude and offer no sympathy…. Funny i don’t recall asking you for any.
I made the experience thatmany player with very high AP 25k + are bad at this game. For example not understanding their class ect.
Whereis the point in playing 1500 Days if you dont improve your Gameplay.
From a PvE raid perspective, seems like an indirect buff since there are fights now where thief beats ele. The sharing of basilisk also makes them more appealing.
Tempest only beat Staff DD on Gorseval and Keep Construct now.
You mean Sloth and KC. Cause thief is more dps @ Gorse
KC also has the perma revealed I think thief may beat Ele there too
KC is about Burst.

Raids are easier and have less deversity.
Now, meta isnt necessarily the best, but its a meta for a reason.
Meta is best by definition.
I think what’s Amaimon is going for here is that “are you picking the best build/skills for the job” vs just blindly picking up a meta build from a site and assuming that will get you through 100% of the content.
A build that isnt best at some point isnt Meta. Idk people use this word without understanding the word itself
I think the underlying point is that a good playing using a non-meta build they know how to play will be more useful than a bad player using a meta build they don’t know how to play.
A good Player who understands his profession will be able to play a meta build in perfection. Otherwise he is not a good player.
