Anet, Please remove it for PvE as well.
Actually it would be nice to be able to hide everything we don’t want to see. Storyline as well. Like we have “quit story”, but don’t start another one by default. If you want to give your players the liberty to play what they are interested in, please be considerate of PvE, PvP and WvW equally.
Personally as a PvE ONLY player, I do not care about seeing anything related to PvP and WvW and am glad the daily’s are at least separated in such a manner (although I also do not consider “activity” to be a PvE thing and putting in the daily for PvE is ridiculous, but that’s a different story).

I don’t agree that guardians having such incredibly low HP is balanced at all. Sure, you have your protection, you can block attacks, you have aegis and other neat stuff, but how do you protect yourself against condition damage? With Mordremoth’s minions applying conditions one after the other I can barely manage to stay alive anymore. I’ve tried all sorts of different gear setup (and I put a lot of gold in it, making all my gear ascended), but nothing helps. Some of the minions one-shot my guardian and that makes me very sad (and I’m not even talking about high level zones, just a few wolves jumped me and bang! instant death).
If anyone can give me tips on how to not suck against condition damage I would feel much better and not consider deleting my guardian (who was my all time favorite up until the new DLC). Note: I’ve even tried Runes of Melandru.
I think this is a step in the right direction. Currently I’m on pause from dungeons since I really grew to dislike them (or having to group up with random people just to be able to do them). I found them quite difficult in GW2 compared to other MMORPGs. I’ve seen more deaths in dungeons than anywhere else, so I’m a bit worried about the change where we can’t rush back and help our friends from a WP; although the idea of regrouping does sound more appealing than running around frantically.
Maybe if the story mode was much less difficult to allow people to learn the ropes of that dungeon, like a training session, or a guided play (where the movies play out and don’t get stuck on the background and then I have no idea what’s going on). I think most deaths occur due to players not knowing what to do, setting off traps, getting swarmed, not knowing a good strategy to take down a boss, running off, etc, which isn’t very inviting for first timers in dungeons.
So on that note, I’m glad that dungeon difficulty was reduced somewhat (I don’t know how much yet, but I’m tempted to find out).
Perhaps in the future, dungeon difficulty could be scaled to the number of people in the party and especially to the strength of the party as a whole (meaning stats and gear) – not talking about dynamic leveling here; or be able to select the difficulty level.
It would also be nice if people were not allowed to kick a member from the party while in a dungeon, unless that member disconnects, to prevent losing your position while fighting the end boss, since some people got in their minds that they get better rewards if they are less in the party.
I only have a few silvers… I started playing in December. Once I got all 5 doll frames I am no longer able to get any materials (stuffing or glue) from the Tixx Infinirarium (did I spell that right?).
I only get stupid presents, which give me loads of useless socks.
Since the event will be running until January, I thought “hey, I have plenty of days to get some materials daily
” – boy, was I ever wrong. (TT_TT) I even tried doing the event with a new char, but no luck; and now I’m having ideas like… should I destroy a doll frame and try the event again? No, no… that’s a risky thing to do. Bad idea.
How would I be able to complete my collection, if I can’t do so by just being an active player?
Please, ArenaNet! Allow us to try our hands at it, and get more materials we need. It’s Christmas and all that afterall
No?
