So much kitten over dailies. Complaints over the old and new.
I have the same problem. When logging out, as in closing the game client, it freezes leaving me to force close the program.
I have 2011 imac, so yeah. A new patch to fix this would be so nice!
I am glad that I am not the only one missing the GW 1 Mesmer. I feel the GW2 mesmer is severely lacking in the capabilities of what the GW 1 mesmer offered.
Well, I’m not gonna reply to your experience because we have all ones.. but!
I want to tell about the Risen. They’re ‘zombies’ yes, but not that type of undead we see on Resident Evil, for example. They are not mindless or stupid like that, like they think only ‘Braaaain XQ_’ all the time. During the Story you will encounter Risen very intelligent and tryckery, they even can talk. So.. yep, they are a powerful race of undead under Zhaitan control, note some moron-zombie XD
Still a really boring and overly powerful enemy to fight.
attended/no loot/no mail.
What the heck? I guess this would make me “unqualified” for this as well, regardless of being disconnected 7x times during the fight against the Ancient Karka. Seriously lame.
Alright! Gates of Madness (US) no mail! wah hhooo!
I have not received nothing. I will be patient and wait, unlike all those 10 DC I experienced while trying to participate in the event.
Why, it all makes sense now!
As leader of a unified group, he’s the one lacking emotion and depth, because he has to make the decisions. He can’t be bothered to get emotionally involved.
Only his Wyld Hunt matters to him!I do agree on many of the replies posted here.
Besides, he’s a plant, what do you expect? (/sarcasm)
His character was very wooden. ha!
I think it’s the game mechanics and the type of mobs that make the personal story irritating at times. Risen are so stupidly overpowered that they’re simply no fun at all in wave after wave after wave spawning right on top of you. At lower levels, it’s the same thing with the endless bandits who are obviously wearing superman costumes under their tatty clothes.
In answer to the question, you don’t need to do the personal story but there’s a lot of useful exp there…
Once my personal story turned into just a fight against the risen, I stopped caring about the personal story. Maybe it was the fact that we were fighting hordes of tanking risen. As well as the fact that the Risen (or undead) is such an overused enemy, that I felt, personally, bland.
I liked in GW 1, it was fighting against the mursaat and the lich with their lackies, the white mantle. They had character.
I have not finished my personal story and after reading this, and talking to my new guildees, I am most likely not going to complete it. Mostly because I thought the story was entirely lame and flat. But now learning of the obstacles just to make it to the dungeon to Zhaitan, sure does not help the incentive to actually complete it.
I liked it. Aside from not being able to play because of being disconnected. I rather fight against the karka than the risen any day.
During the first push into the karka’s lair, my client crashed 3-4 times. During the actual attack to push back the ancient karka, another 3 times before I decided that I couldn’t actually “play” the event. By the time I could relog in, the event was already over. Technically I didn’t put in too much time playing because I just couldn’t with all the disconnects.
I am signing. Not only is the one time event unfair for the players in the different time zone, it also pushes everyone into those servers to play the event. Leading to the many crashes and disconnects. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the event and would prefer the karka over the risen any day, but that was only when I was able to play for more than 30 minutes without being disconnected.
Disconnected from the event 6 times. Three times trying to help the demolition team and than another 3 against the ancient Karka. So. I have missed out even though I participated. Lame.
Now that I have a lvl 80 ranger and completed all my skill points, what is the point of the extra and accumulating skill points?
It’s just like real life in a way. All it takes is saying “hi” or “hey how is it going..” to start the ball rolling.
It’s a healthy thing to take a break from anything that you are doing. If you feel like this is just a solo game, play with friends or make new friends with other players.
I am enjoying the game even with my main close to hitting 80. It’s a game. And I am enjoying the fact that I am not devoting my waking hours to it to “get” things in it.
