The effect Taimi’s degenerative condition has on her varies. Like a lot of people with chronic pain, she has good days (when she can get around relatively easily) and bad days (when she can’t). The worse her pain is on a given day/time, the worse her limp. As she stated in the Festival of the Four Winds:

PC: How are you feeling?
Taimi: Thank you for asking. My legs are good today discomfortwise, but I can’t get complacent: my mobility is capricious, changing from one hour to the next. Luckily, Scruffy is always standing by.

As a person who requires a cane to move around, i can relate a lot to this. Some days i can limp around on my disabled leg and other days i can’t move at all. I see Scruffy as Taimi’s cane, just cooler… and can destroy her enemies…

I wish my cane could do that…

The first is my Guardian, all i’d ask is if you could make her facial expression just a touch mischievous looking. The other is my Necro, and she has the crazy blinding light eyes in game, if you could do that for her that’d be great.

This event only triggers hatred against the horde of terrabaddies. Seen so many players go full DPS on the easy trash at Marionette like their life depended on it. But are superslow getting through the portal and once inside they start autoattacking (at best), can’t dodge and can’t move away from the champion.

My double facepalm today was when the last circle started ressing dead after the champion instead of nuking the power generator and time of course ran out.

Exactly, you were punished, not for your lack of ability, but from the lack of ability from others.

I agree with you all, personally i think the difficulty is fine. But think about it, is it really fair to have the possibility of success decided on how many numbers you have?

Why not have the chance of success rest upon the large proportion of the lane winning, not the entire lane. We are always going to have random players who wont be able to do the boss.

First of all, i’m a big fan of the Twisted Marionette battle. It encourages a lot of communication and teamwork, and a decent amount of pre planning even on overflow servers. I have noticed a few faults with the battle, and one of which is something i think needs to be changed.

Each lane will have to enter their portal and enter five arenas to defeat the same champion boss. I have no issues with the difficulty of the champions, they are fair and if played correctly, easily defeatable. My issue is the fact that all the arenas need to succeed in order for the lane to win. This means that 3-4 people could technically fail the event for the entire lane.

There is no way in finding out if a group has already played the event before (often most will stay quiet rather than ask for direction, and if they do, they will still be under prepared). So the chances of at least one group failing the arena is pretty high, especially on overflow servers. The idea of the entire lane failing because of a small select few not being able enough to perform their task is not only unfair, but will breed hostility between the player base.

So why not change it to 4/5 generators instead of the full five? That way a large proportion of the lane will still have to succeed (80%) and there is at least a small chance of reprieve for those who join the event who aren’t up to the difficulty.

There are always going to be players who aren’t either good enough, or don’t know enough about the event. This isn’t an issue of difficulty or trying to educate the player base but a way for the entire lane to succeed even if a very small proportion of the players let them down.

I’d love to see what other players think about this.

I may be wrong but why Queen Jennah? Her bloodline has no connection to Ascalon or King Adelbern. Kryta and Ascalon humans have a frosty relationship at best and i don’t see a Krytan Monarch being the reason they are put to rest.

I get the feeling though that Anet wont change this, as they will have too many people moaning about changing other legendary effects. I see them moving onto a new set of legendary weapons and leaving the old set as they are

I ran Cof at least twice daily, sold anything that wasn’t a T6 mat and ran the JP in Malchor’s leap that has all the smuggler’s loot in it (drops the odd T6 mat). With all of this i got Mintrel within 2 months, but much of the pre work had been done by general play since launch.

I don’t mind the model at all, especially with the character i equipped it with. If Anet are to update the effects of the Minstrel it’d be great, especially as it seems to the legendary most people have a problem with.

In any case, it’d be good to get some message from Anet that this is at least in their thoughts for the future. I don’t mind waiting at all, i knew what i was getting into when i did the work to get The Minstrel but any sort of response would be greatly appreciated.

Crafted this today, i don’t mind the special effects but the regularity of them is what bothers me, at times you can’t even tell that the effects are even working, especially in the Shiverpeak areas.

I would love to see some work done on The Minstrel, even if it is just improving the size and duration of the effects it already has.

Loving the idea, i’m an Aurora Gladian… if thats the right way to say it haha. I’ve registered, looking forward to using it

Logan is the Rurik of GW2, and i dislike them both. Logan just seems so cookie cutter, twilighty and stupid, unable to diverse the difference between the needs of the many over the needs of the few. Sure if he had stayed to fight Kralkatorrik, Jenna would have likely died but if they had slain the Dragon, they would of saved countless lives not just for this age but for decades to come.

He’s not particularly heroic either, in Twilight Harbor he just ups and leaves (I know Rytlock does aswell, but from his character i’d expect him not to care that much) when Caithe is trying to do something for the good of her race. So yeah… Don’t like him and the experiences in game with him in it don’t do much to change my opinion.

However i did enjoy Zojja schooling him over Jenna’s capture in CM, quite funny

While i agree that the Dragon’s are beings of destruction, that it’s simply part of their make up, it would be wrong to assume that they are just automatic robots of chaos. Jormag for one does his business through whispers and deceit, i’d love to see more of Jormag in future expansions as he seems the most intelligent of the Dragons.

I do agree also that the awe of Zhaitan is a little lacking, maybe it would of been an idea to see him wipe out a town or city at the beginning of the game (not one that was intended to be used in game) just to get over the fact of how powerful he is through the character’s eyes.
