oh and i tend to kite with bombs and lob grenades when mobs arent agro and lay down super elixer and toolbelt elixer skill for allies in dungeons but basically maintain dots survive and throw in a bit of support and cc with glue shot glue bomb and big ol bomb with all the lovely combo fields all the while
yeah thats what i thought take 20 from alc and put into tools thnx and im mainly aiming for versatility and survival while doing decent condition dmg but you’ve confirmed what i thought on traits thnx =D
traits exp 30 :shrapnel , short fuse , grenadier
inv 20 : cloaking device , elite supplies
alc 20 : blood injection , backpack regenerator
gear is carrion with undead runes superior and corruption sigils on weapons
i run P/P with medkit, elixer gun, grenade kit, bomb kit, and suply crate
please keep criticism constructive just looking to improve i mainly do pve dungeons and open world events ive solo’d champs in orr with this build but think the build needs tweeks so any advice
I must have said this 100 times we are never going to be better than any specialist we do good sustained dmg tons of conditions awesome cc ok heals great self heal with kit cond removal could be better but i mainly pve with 4 kits in exp dungeons and open events while farming tried other classes and only one that can match our versatility is an ele which i cant seem to get into but seriously i solo champs in ore (melee lol ) and have pulled up to 15+ mobs and survived engi fn rocks!!!!!!!
wow couldnt help but notice Chabba still didnt answer Coglins question lol all he said was name the bugged traits that pigeon hole us but enough of that engis are the masters of variety your not meant to be pure anything in terms of build spec for dps alone fail spec for support alone fail your supposed to be able to transition in and out of roles depending on the situation and with our kits its easy to do that i agree the learning curves a little steep and i died a lot figuring the engi out but well worth the small amount of extra effort and again i stress i am not an elite player the class has some probs but they all do balance is determined by overall performance if u dont like being a jack of all trades this class is not for you peace to all my engi kin
hey all would just like to say I’m not an elite player I’m more a casual pve kinda guy i run a 4 kit build bombs, nades, elixir gun, med-kit and I’m having a blast pun non intended its kinda cool having an answer to every situation could use a lil more condition removal but all in all i survive and thrive in Orr and havnt been kicked from a dungeon once and from what i read engis are supposed to be crap in pve well im not seeing it ive got an 80 warrior and an 80 guardian warrior is boring guardians ok but engi is sooo much fun so casual guys dont be discouraged take it from a casual player lot if fun to be had as an engi
the Asuran cultural is probably the best your going to get tier 2 or tier 3
I’m running a 4 kit engi with nades bomb medkit and elixer gun mostly stack conditions so i have exotic carion gear and cursed sure often it takes a more active approach to gameplay than a warrior to have success but thats part of the engis charm engis have a lot of problems right now but with skill you can still pve and have a lot of fun as for builds you sought of need to play around and find what suits you
I re rolled a gs shout warrior and named him rage quit nerf after nerf slight fixes on a class that is under powered enough jeez anet who cares if we may have put out numbers similar to warrior for a change its not like engis would have become completely op with out that nerf are u gonna nerf us again when u fix the weapon stat issue with our kits this is just a slap in the face throw us a bone and take it away in the same fix
Am I seriously the only one who wants grenades to work on land like they do underwater its so much easier even if it were only skill 1-3 or 1-2 keep poison and chill as ground targets thats fine but its so hard to kite and target ground at same time seems like other classes get a lot more reward for a lot less effort heck reduce the range to make these changes if u have to
