Yeah, the runes are where your set bonuses come from (afaik). The rest is stats and aesthetics.

I get the feeling it might be a personal story thing – given that I have shoulders that look similar to that from a story quest, but I’m not at home to check for sure. Good luck! It is a pretty looking set.

You can absolutely replace runes in armor sets – just be aware that the existing runes will be destroyed in the process.

Is this a recent thing you’ve noticed? I’ve seen effect from off-hand sigils on my mesmer before… at least with the weapon swap ones.

The whole plant-people thing sounded really cool, and then I tried one as a mesmer during the betas and generally fell in love.

I think I have a problem.

Hearts, as far as I know, haven’t ever rewarded karma. They give exp and some money via the mail, and then open a vendor you can spend karma at. Maybe you were earning karma for completed events that counted toward heart completion?

I think the numbers should be the “set bonus” to work towards for each one? So for Lyssa, you would be interested in two pieces of armour with that rune to make it effective.

I ended up going with an elven inspired spin with Nyare. I think it came from a Quenyan translation (yeah) of Satu? Satu means fairy tale or fable and I thought that was an appropriate name meaning for a mesmer.

Was this a particular quest weapon in a certain area? Or just something you’ve noticed in general? Oftentimes specific details can help ANet pinpoint the issue a bit quicker.

Tagg is right, you can use transmute stones to transfer the insignia to another piece of gear.

Does our location get reported when we ladybug these things? I can at least start adding the more detailed location info anyway when I do report such issues. My mesmer has found her way into all sorts of interesting hills and underground locales.

I’ve had it happen a couple times now. Both times I think it was after putting in a combination of items I had used before, but not entirely certain on that. Unfortunately, didn’t think to record when it occurred. :<
