Talk to the black lion armor specialist on each character to restore your old clothes in the new format. It’ll turn the cap to armor, and old townclothes to tonics.
That did it used my original Warr to talk to the armour guy and got my cap back, I had spoken to him to get my town clothes but used an alt.
So thank you for that.
I used to have one of those caps but no idea what happened to it, it doesn’t seem to be in my wardrobe so I guess the game lost it at some point.
So no I haven’t used mine for a while.
Any skill point scrolls used to get skill points with which you unlock skills prepatch will be wasted.
I sincerely hope that’s not the case, i have used over 100 scrolls unlocking the rest of my skills on my 10 characters.
At worst I expect a refund of used scrolls and at best the skills to be grandfathered into the new system.
I am a player that thought the initial price for HoT was a bit on the high side especially as there was no character slot included.
But the Amazon price is enough of a deal for me to go for it.
Though it does seem strange buying a pre-order on a pre-order, hope it doesn’t cause a singularity or something equally strange and mysterious.
Looking forward to some beta action.
My game has also been ok recently until this evening when the dreaded lag returned.

The only fix I have found is not to play GW2 and that’s what I have done for the last few days.
I have been hoping it would be fixed so I can play again, but my son was on earlier this evening to get the fireworks achievement, it seemed ok standing around in LA but when he went to the open world it was 20-30 seconds lag spikes and it was unplayable, so had to quit.
So it looks like I still can’t get back to playing, so hurry up Anet and sort your game out.
I ran a ping plot during this lagging and the connection to the server was good the whole time so it doesn’t seem to be my connection or routing to the server.

I’m not seeing a Sticky about this subject and while there is a thread about it, the Anet response is about a problem from over a month ago.
As I stated this has only recently started to happen, also confirmed by all the other very recent post about the same issue.
I have just had to stop playing again for the second night in a row because of this problem.
I’m in the UK and it starts getting noticeable around 6PM local time (17:00 GMT) then shortly afterwards it’s unplayable.
So Arenanet can we have a response about this problem because not only is the bad game performance not very professional, not giving any information is doubly so.
I have just had to quit playing as it’s just impossible at the moment, lag, lag, lag then disconnect. It’s the first time I have ever had to do that.
I’m in the UK on Aurora Glade server.
Is it just happening in the EU or are there problems on the US servers as well?
I would like to know if there us a limit as well, because I am very close to 100.
I don’t want to spend them yet because I have only recently put full Exotic jewellery on my 2 mains and I don’t want to put them on my other lvl 80’s (even though they only have rare jewellery).
So I’m not sure how to spend them yet, but would like to keep my options open.
First post from me, but reading this has me worried that I might have caused someone to miss a chest.
I don’t normally do dungeons (in fact I haven’t done one in game yet) but I have been setting up a group with my son to do the Wintersday events.
And at the end after I have grabbed the loot from the chest, say thanks to all who have helped and then leave.
I never in my wildest dreams thought I could be causing others problems, so apologises if I have caused anyone to miss their chest reward.
