I’m a very casual player that wouldn’t normally look into working towards a legendary weapon, but after I saw Meteorlogicus in the wiki, I feel like that is a weapon I want to eventually craft. It’s really pretty.
What I’m wondering, though, is which profession(s) actually consider scepters to be a viable weapon for a build? I know scepters can only be used by elementalists, mesmers, guardians, and necromancers, but I rarely see people using them. I mainly see a lot of elementalists with two daggers, mesmers and guardians with a great sword, and necromancers with a staff. My main character is a guardian and I only tend to use a scepter when I need ranged attacks.
I’d appreciate any help!
They might have mistakenly written that “Wintersday Mystery Boxes” would appear in the world instead of the normal, much more common “Mysterious Presents.”
The names are pretty similar, so it could have been a simple case of miscommunication between the developers and patch note writers.

This Hair Styling Contract, is it Account or Soulbound?
Once you open it, it becomes Account Bound.
The Bell Choir minigame is a lovely addition to the game, so I purchased the Unbreakable Bell from the Trading Post just yesterday. I love it but I don’t believe it necessarily deserves the extraordinary hype, frustration, and tears it has been receiving from players since Wintersday started. For one thing, you cannot play two notes at the same time (unlike in the minigame), and for another thing, while the item itself is permanent, there is only a 1-minute duration in which you can play, after which you have to again double-click the bell to use it. I think that, at least if you are serious about trying to play tunes with it, those features can be something of a drawback.
I guess what I am trying to say is “Don’t stress out if you aren’t able to obtain the bell by the end of Wintersday.” While it is definitely a joy to tinker around with every once in a while, it isn’t worth tearing your hair out or obsessing over. If you don’t foresee yourself amassing enough gold to buy the bell any time soon, my advice would be to simply purchase 1 or 2 stacks of 250 normal bells; those would serve you just as well as the Unbreakable Bell and are a far cheaper alternative.
I received one from a Mystery Wintersday box in the gem store. I was planning on selling it last night so that I could afford an unbreakable bell choir, but this seems way more valuable apparently.
I get that everyone is frustrated; even I feel disappointed about dc’ing from lag on Phase 3 and not getting the chest.
But how does this kind of spiteful, immature post help anyone? ArenaNet has already announced that they are looking at ways to compensate us for the missed reward. It has hardly been 24 hours since Phase 3 of the event ended.
Let’s try to show a little patience and faith rather than immediately running around like chickens without a head screaming about how this is the complete and utter downfall of the game.
Or did we somehow forget that? That this is a game? :/
We have a team looking into disconnection problems that prevented some people from receiving their event rewards.
We will update you as soon as we have more information available.
Thank you, and we apologize that you were unable to claim your rewards.

Thank you, ArenaNet! We really appreciate your looking into this.
People need to stop raging and cursing now. All we can do is wait.
Edit: I was booted from the game and am no longer in an overflow with an active event. (Please don’t message me in-game anymore.)
I am in an overflow where the event has reset to the demolition team phase. I think this is further behind than Leite’s overflow, but if anyone still wants to get in, let me know. I just feel bad for Leite because she is getting spammed with messages :/

You can also try messaging Spella in game as she was also in our party and managed to get in.

I was on an overflow where we were killing a champion karka on the bridge, but the lag caused me to disconnect. By the time I came back, the event was over. I tried logging out to find an overflow where the event was still running, but every overflow I went to had already finished the event.
I just sent in a support ticket, though. Just be patient, everyone, and stop cursing and arguing with each other. It is not helping anyone.
I know the event hasn’t yet been patched out of the game, but I just wanted to say thank you to everyone at Arenanet for planning such a fun event with something for everyone to do. I never did get through the clock tower puzzle and probably won’t ever, but I still had a lot of fun with the rest of the Halloween activities!
And thank you to the community for always sharing new discoveries, posting pumpkin route guides, shouting out champion doors in the labyrinth, and just being fun to hang out with in Lion’s Arch. It was really fun! ^^
