I like the videos and gameplay mate, but the music is just so… Terrible. Sorry. Only thing I can see you improving with your montages.
And i like his videos because i like breaks and similar music styles. So as for me music is strong side. Other thing is that condi trappers are too overpowered now and i prefer to see some zerker videos.
I’m sorry in advance but “The Trait “Light on your Feet” currently increases condition duration by 100% rather than the intended 10%. However nerfing this to 10% would make the trait extremely bad. I suggest nerfing it down to around 50% duration to keep it worth using as a Grandmaster Trait. F.” – is tottally bull_$_h_1_t information same as 50% of your bug report.
Hello ! I am just wondering why there is no patch for improving Healing Spring Trap working with Superiror Rune of Trapper ?
In answer to my ticket at first you said that fixing this is complicated thing and you need time to deal with.
Maybe it is time guys to fix it finally?
Because after you increased recharge time for Spike Trap to 45 sec (36 with trait) from 20 sec as before, then you added nonsense damage to Frost Trap and removed ground targeting, the mechanic of trappers changed way too much and another 3 sec of stealth from HS would be very necessary and fair.
Or think about making Rune of Trapper stealth bonus higher ~4 sec instead of 3 sec.
Even mesmers has more stealth time now and i do not mention the moving speed of trappers that was absolutely nerfed.
Read into this please !

Rune of the trapper also simply doesn’t work with healing spring for some reason.
That is being fixed as we speak.
They wont fix it bro, they are too lazy for that fix. Instead they decided to fix Rune description in GW2 Wiki http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Superior_Rune_of_the_Trapper
It says “The skill Healing Spring does not trigger the rune’s effects.”

Condi damage is already insane as is, 33% would be completely broken tbh.
And thief with 20k backstab damage is not OP for you?
Also Healing spring doesnt heal pets as it is stated !

Hi guys, actually i found out this:
1) Healing spring is a Trap now, so Rune of Trapper should give you 3 sec of stealth when you use this skill. But it doesnt.
2) In final (23 june) realease notes it is said:
“Hidden Barbs: Bleeding you cause deals 33% more damage.” And ingame it is 20%. A bit unfair doesnt it?I want you to support this thread to make attention to these strange losts.
My “Healing Spring” didn’t heal either of my pets in WvW.
Apparently we are the beta team.
Ofc we are, look all thiefs started scream and bombing the support with: OMG backstab reveals me when miss omg omg… fix fix fix…
And they fixed this in less then 10 hours. So they are so happy now with backstabbing 20k crit.
And stealth rangers are around 20% of all rangers… and only 2 here complain about bug. So i guess they dont care and will be fixing it for years.
Anyway me and my friend submitted tickets about Healing Spring bugs… but nowadays they recieve tones of reports… and give to every autoanswer.

They didnt officially reduced it from 33% to 20% dude, it is written 33% everywhere in release except ingame trait decription ! It is a bug !

Sadly this seems to be typical for the class.
My guess is they will say that the 20% is correct and that the 33% in the notes is an error.
I guess so too, but what about Healing Spring ? Where is another 3 sec of stealth on this Trap skill with Rune of Trapper ? Since Spike Trap has 45(36) cast time, survival ability vs pimped damage of thiefs will be much lower in WvW for melee builds.
ran into a couple of trap rangers today, they were pretty effective. spike trap knockdown is OP. you just need to play around with it some. you can go very tanky with traps, wildnerness knowledge, quickdraw and rabid stats.
Skill with 36 sec (with trait) recharge cant be overpowered.
I feel comfortable with these changes so far.
But ofcourse i agree with the thread author because, i cant now throw traps onto walls or doors and it sucks !
There is no bug dude, diffrent stack number on these skills. skill 4 has 3 stack, bonfire has 9 or so.
For all those who are saying that traps now function how traps “meant to be functioning”, ergo not being able to throw them anymore, I don’t even know why you try to argue this way. Maybe you shouldn’t be so hung up on the name, but actually treat traps as what they are: AoEs. And any other class who can use AoEs as utility skills can currently groundtarget them. The simple fact is that traps wont be versatile enough anymore to run more than one of them per build.
Traps may be pretty potent if someone steps into them, but other than that, they are not more than an area an enemy might want to avoid. And that is not very versatile. Survival skills on the other hand are pretty versatile. You can load up your whole build with survival skills, because they bring something to the table for almost any situation you encounter. Traps will lose that momentum. They never really got it, the changes now would actually make them more versatile, but without being able to throw them in front of your target, you wont be able to hit reliably with them.
I would agree, but you forgot to say an important thing. When enemy place their “aoe” trap-alike target skills, you see the affected area in red lines. Traps of ranger is unseen for enemies ! So they cant know where exactly you placed it.
Well, that totally screws up Runes of the Trapper.
No more wise trap spreading to avoid reveals, keeping the cycle and luring into traps.
You are absolutely mistaken my friend. If you watch more carefully to a change you will notice this:
1) Trap activation time is same that was before, so you can use traps as 1,2,3 with 8-9 sec stealth.
2) Arming time isnt the same that activation skill time. It is great for STEALTH trapper, because now activated trap used to reveal you in same time when pulsed (except frost), but since they all cause cripple etc they all will reveal on hit after update, so technically with this change , ranger gets extra 0.5 sec of 100% unrevealed stealth time after you used trap. In my thought it is great.
Overall i can say that these changes have some intrigue. Time will show how ranger will show himself in WvW against other classes. Now it is too early to say that ranger has been nerfed.

1. I wouldnt use Warhorn with signet of the hunt and 58% crit chance. I would use Axe instead with Sigil of Energy.
2. I wouldnt use Sigil of Bloodlust on both weapons, better change it on Lonfbow to Sigil of Air for higher damage (cooldown every 3 sec on Sigil), and i would change Sigil of Force to Sigil of FIre instead. It would be a nice pair of bonus damage Sigils for LB.
3. Your condition damage stat on accessories is suitable for meta build, but you dont use any trait that reveal it. My offer is to use Sharpened edges at Skirmishing trait line in pair with Keen Edge trait.
4. You can use Bear pet with F2 2x condi remover every 25 sec instead of Reef Drake + Wolf on swap , its Fear F2 is very helpfull for surviving.
5. If you decide to use bear you can change your Signet of Renewal to Signet of the Wild in pair with Mango pie )really cheap) food it will give in pair with SoW around 130 hp per sec regeneration.
6. Try use Entangle instead of Rampage as One. with Wilderness knowledge trait recharge time will be 48 sec.

I am sure you know that WvW gives you great opportunity to change some traits or utility skills “on fly” according to enemy you have meet I do it quite an ofter it takes 5 sec.
I am sure many people will agree that trying to find one build comfortable vs every class is utopia. There is nothing special in changing your way of play “on fly”.
For example i wont fight condition thief by using same traits i fight power one. Even vs same build trapper or necromancer you need to variate some skills to prevent condition damage same with stun, daze etc …
And ofcourse i donot claim any unique talant, it is just a story of one simple ranger guys. I am doing this videos just for fun and share my exp. Have nice battles !

Really liked the video. Some of those other rangers you duked it out with were really bad hehe. Your video shows alot of the nuances of your build. I’m working on a ranger build to counter the trapper build so this is awesome to watch.thanks for taking the time to make them!

We are glad someone like it. Thnx ! By the way i have some nice video of zerker vs trapper, actually in my thought chances to win if zerker have nice skill are 50/50. There are only 5 simple rules to get trapper downed quite an easy : 1) Use wolf; 2) Use condition (-40%) utility; 3) Use meta build (combined like 60% damage & 40% condition damage); 4)Use any stun breaker to evade Entangle trap (Signet of Renewal for example). 5) Use Sigil of Energy on non-bow weapon.
P.S. If you loosing, use Lightning Reflexes and Sword’s Hornet sting + Monarch’s Leap, so you far far away at the end ;D.

Hello! After 31 of march 2015 update, somehow trap skills of ranger class has been affected.
So, when master trait Trapper’s Expertise is active, cast time of theese trap skills:
- Flame Trap,
- Winter’s Bite
- Spike Trap
- Viper’s Nest
grow from 1/2 sec to 1 sec.
According to GW 2 Wiki every utility trap skill from above has cast time 1/2 sec.
And it was 1/2 sec before 31 of march patch.
There is no info that using master trait Trapper’s Expertise will set cast time of utility trap skills from 1/2 sec to 1 sec. And now it is 1 sec somehow (!?)
Please fix this bug. Make ranger Trap skills cast time with active traitTrapper’s Expertise back to 1/2 sec.
This bug tottaly change stealth trapper mechanic, additional 1/2 sec from cast time steal 1 sec of stealth from trapper rune making it 2 sec instead of 3 sec and it sucks !

You realize they literally just stealth nerfed trap cast time with the patch? How’s this build now…. Haven’t played traps since the patch before that they broke pet management… How is this bug not being addressed?
First of all i am sure it is a bug, probably they affected trap system while fixing other stuff.
You can still use your build with switched off Master trait : Trapper’s Expertise. Cast time in this case will be same 1/2 sec as always. As i know many people submitted tickets with this issue, so i hope it will be fixed with next patch.

Its a bug guys…it only happens if you have the trapper trait equipped. Of course that doesn’t mean it will get fixed any faster..lol
The traps radius is larger now, it could cover the whole home/far pvp nodes. I hope people would complain about it so that we can get our cast times back, I don’t need the super increased radius.
Well, if the trapper radius is increased even without master trait is on, it is better then nothing. But Trait radius has been increased to 240 by master trate long ago.
These pilot glasses, chef’s suits and so on. I do love ur game. But those things don’t fit the setting! And the cap with gw2 logo at the game start?! Really guys you are doing perfect work, but these things just out of the game I think. Trying to be objective.

Tell me please, Arena, why do u add items which don’t fit to game’s setting. Hats, glasses and so on. It doesn’t make the game more beautiful. Profare, Primeval, Krytian armor skins are really good. But sunglasses…

Leveling is too fast I think. That’s why most of the players didn’t even see the more than 30% of armor. I get my next lvl so fast, so it isn’t extremely needed to buy for me new armor. For example: I’m 55 and I have 55lvl armor. In shop I would like ti buy an armor for 58, not 56, because I’ll take my 58 very fast.
