thx a lot for the info and links rasputin and navi. it really sounds like it is more of an DR issue than a bug. a bit unconvenient, but nothing that can’t be worked around.
Since the September 3rd patch I’ve been doing the World Boss Events which give a daily reward chest aswell as a (daily) boss chest daily, utilizing API sites aswell guesting on 2 servers.
To safe myself some cash in traveling, i placed some of my alt on boss spawns (fire shaman, shatterer, mark II, etc.). And this is where i started to noticed the Bug over the last few days:
If you log on to the boss event with a char, who has been standing there already and hasn’t left the area since completing the event the previous day, your account will not get the Daily Reward Chest aswell as the Daily Boss Chest. You will get Exp, Cash and karma for the Event though.
I can reproduce this Bug by simply finishing and not moving the character till doing the same boss event the next day.
tltr: if you don’t leave the map of a world boss event, you won’t get your daily reward the next day.

but I’m still pretty convinced that there seems to be bug, as salvaging other exotics for inscriptions seems to give me like a 1:5 yield
Might be that I had real tough luck, but after salvaging about 40+ Guild Defenders (Exotic Shield, PTV Stats, dropped from Champion Loot Bags) using Mystic Salvage Kits and not receiving a single Soldier’s Orichalcum Imbued Inscription I’m starting to wonder if there might be a bug.
Did anyone else make this observation aswell? Maybe with other exotic drops from champion lootbags?
The scaling of the pact escort event is just way off.
I did or tried the event a couple of times a day during the last few days and it gets way easier the more ppl you have.
Scaled for a few ppl (10-20) there is still the constant spawn of the 2 risen subjugators each wave, while there is relatively few non veteran trash. so what happens is that you can’t CC the subjugators long enough or focus them down fast enough before the trash mobs are dead and the pact members start running through the wells towards the subjugators, dieing on the way.
On the other hand, when doing it with 50-60 ppl or even more, the subjugators aren’t the real problem any more:
- there are tons of non veteran trash spawning which do little harm to the pact members and keep them busy
- there are still “just” 2 subjugators each wave, which can be cc’ed the whole time or focused down quickly enough
- the wells which are spawned by the subjugators seem to have a target limit. so once you are just enoguh ppl, the players can take the dmg instead of the npcs.
- only problem with a larger zerg is the one trash noble spawn shortly before the stairs.
Overall, I have the opinion, that doing this event now as it is, is close to impossible with a few ppl, even if those consist of two well coordinated groups.
no karma at all from dungeons (bags of wondrous goods aswell as completion reward) aswell. guess only way to get a decent amount of karma is running fractals unless it got changed aswell.
Berserker’s Power -> Using the old DMG increase values 3/7/12 instead of 5/10/15
Heightened Focus -> Using the old Crit-chance increase values 2/5/9 instead of 5/10/15
Empower -> Now only increasing DMG by 1% per Boon instead of 2%
Just ran some tests again -> Berserker’s Power and Heightened Focus still using old values, Empower gives 1% increase
Did quite a bit of testing on my Warrior in HotM today, here’s what i found out:
Berserker’s Power -> Using the old DMG increase values 3/7/12 instead of 5/10/15
Heightened Focus -> Using the old Crit-chance increase values 2/5/9 instead of 5/10/15
Empower -> Now only increasing DMG by 1% per Boon instead of 2%
Burning Arrow -> Missing the the 20% reduced Bow recharge in trait discription, DMG increase is working fine though
Weapon Masteries and Burst Recharge -> the individual weapon masteries like e.g. “Merciless Hammer” don’t reduce the Burst Skill cooldown anymore. I might be wrong here, but imo pre-patch both the indivudual Weapon Mastery and Burst Mastery reduced the recharge (e.g. Hammer: 10s -> Weapon Mastery -> 8s -> Burst Mastery -> 6s CD on Earthshaker / now Earthshaker CD only dependent on spent points in Discipline traitline). Might be a case of “working as intended”
Whirling Axe -> haven’t used that Skill for quite some time, but was under the impression, that this skill was a whirl finisher for every single hit of that multi-hit attack. Now it works like other long casttime finishers (activation of the finisher when starting the skill and deploying the effect when actually finishing the skill). Might also be a case of “working as intented”
Same happened to me. While keeping right mouse pushed down, i targeted the 1st friendly target my mouse hovered over. Can be fixed though by disabling “Richt-Click to Attack/Interact” (Options -> General Options -> Combat/Movement)
After doing some testing in Heart of the Mists / LA Training Grounds i can confirm that both Berserker’s Power and Heightened Focus are using the old values (3/7/12 respectively 2/5/9 instead of 5/10/15).
