We need to see how FA does in T2. I’d like to see how they compete.
FA has been to T2 before. The majority of the population isn’t going to be intimidated by SoS or Mag, not when they fought them often before season 2. I’m not saying FA is going to win the PPT battle, but they won’t balk at fights. I can promise that.
Mag is home of some pretty good guild groups, FA is going to learn a lot and when they come out bruised and bloody they will learn and only then will I fear them as an SBI player

FA was the #5/#6 server for I dont know, months and months. There is nothing new on tier2 for FA players. 80% of the players on FA (the core of the server) are on FA almost since launch.
It has come to the point that as WvW has not received real updates since launch that we ourselves would not mind doing the testing.
I can appreciate that many people don’t like EotM, but don’t conflate a lack of updates that you personally like with a lack of updates. WvW has added a great deal of content and rewards over just the last calendar year.
Hopefully you will find more you like in future updates and we’ll continue to add to the game.
Talking about EotM being a WvW update is just silly. Dont get me wrong, but EotM have NOTHING to do with WvW.
EotM have close to non existent impact in real matchups. Actually, EotM drain players from the game mode to a big and pointless free for all.
EotM have nothing to do with the weekly matchup. No server rivalry, no real score system to the real matchup… EotM means close to nothing to WvW scene.
How can you say that “World vs World vs World” has added a great deal of content when you drain players from the game mode to a map where the “worlds” (AkA servers) are not there?
Seriously.. when I see a comment like this it just makes clear how ANET deals with wvw scene.
And what to say about megaservers and how it hurts the recruitment scene in general?
And the lack of support to GvGs on the game called GUILD WARS? (dont try to fool anyone with Obsidiam Sanctum, we need a real game mode that allows guilds to fight across tiers)

Nah, not trying to derail it, but people should know what they are transferring to. In our SBI threads, we mentioned that we lost people recently.
That said, I know you have a stable core group of people, just like we do. And it is great to be fighting against you in silver. It has been a blast this week.
But, don’t forget that One and Agg left too….
For people considering FA, it is a good server, and even with the losses they aren’t going to drop. They fight hard, and defend well.
AGG and ONE stayed in the server for like 3-4 weeks. great guys, but nothing that matters when stability of the server is what we are talking about.
FA lost a few guilds, gained others that can accomplish even more wvw/community wise.
That being said Dragonbrand is in gold and Fort Aspenwood is in silver so yea it was already done and over with.

I use to roam during early NA and can tell that there’s a lot of people doing the same.
During NA prime, I wont lie… its pretty much lots of guild groups fighting (doesnt look like tier1 at all, this I can ensure to you)… but hey, this can be good for any havoc/roaming group.
We have some small guilds that roam and search for small group fights.. you should check them
FA has a core of guilds that are here for a LONG time.
People that never transfer or let the server down. Some guilds stayed strong since launch, many others came along the months and now trully integrate the core of the community.
Fort Aspenwood has been a stable server ranking 5th-9th for over a year. FA usually falls at rank 6, the “Gate Keeper of Tier 2” where we strive to have outnumbered fights. Fort Aspenwood takes great pride in holding back recent “bandwagon” servers from getting into higher tiers.
Currently, Fort Aspenwood is vastly outnumbered OCX/SEA time slots, with our guilds fighting hard everyday to keep our sever competitive during these times. As a server, we are currently looking to achieve a better timezone cohesion and fill our already great guilds with some new blood. Fort Aspenwood does not wish to push to Tier 1 and fight the blob wars, we just are looking to have a better balanced tier 2. While our NA could use more individual players and maybe a few havoc groups, we are really looking for one or two good OCX/SEA group to join us.

There arises the question as to why SoS cannot distance itself from this poorly coordinated TC when it matches or outnumbers TC in all time-zones, as per your own post.
Because when we tick +300ppt, TC is ticking +225. That’s only 300 points an hour and TC’s unfettered love affair with bloodlust is well-documented.
I’m going to be blunt here. TC’s fair weathers are off doing PvE, and SoS now has defensive numbers that make your daily glom rushes fail. This allows us to go to TCBL in numbers and attack multiple targets, making your PuG based defenses fail even harder, which makes your fair weathers disappear.
This is starting to get embarrassing for TC. The first loss of your T2 dominance in 10 months and suddenly you lose your minds.
FA beat TC one month ago… so yeah.. not the first in 10 months

I assure you SIC didn’t leave because IoJ started facing competition. They left because the community wasn’t very accepting of them. It’s sad really :/ personally I enjoyed your stay at IoJ and I’m sure I’m not alone in that, I hope you guys find a good place to stay

NSP might be a good choice for you. We could use a havoc crew that ran independent and could put pressure on enemy borderlands and such. The possibility of finding good GvG matches would be very prevalent as well. We often get matched up against servers with more WvW guilds to compete with. You will always find a map to get on as we only Que up 2 maps on reset.
I have a post on your forums, however apparnetly it needs a moderator to approve it. its been all day without it being approved. Odd.

You pretty much answered it yourself. I run with TEST for PvE because it’s a reddit-based guild and do WvW with [One] on YB. I NEVER said I would NOT recommend IoJ, but seeing that I am on YB for WvW, I am gonna vouch for them. Now if this is your attempt at character assassination, it’s pretty pathetic and shows how LITTLE IoJ has improved in terms of respecting former members and commanders. I know for a fact that former YB folks who frequent the YB forums are still welcomed even tho they have moved on to higher tier servers.
FYI, make sure you know what the heck you are talking about. TEST is NOT a purely PVE guild. Most of our members just prefer to run with CORE. We also have roamers and Valco + Kron has been active on IoJ BL defending. Even Corin has made an attempt to get back into WvW. If you want to discount TEST participation in WvW, that’s fine, but that will only HURT your coverage.
Now since this thread isn’t about why I left IoJ, I’ll leave it at that. Let’s let CNB decide.

To make things clear, my only point was: dont disencourage people to go to a server. If you are seeing great things on your server, just show it to everyone.

[TEST] is a great guild and I didnt mean to bash on anyone about wvw. Being a pve, pvp or wvw guild doesnt make anyone better. I really enjoy playing with [TEST].
