You sir/ma’am clearly can’t tell the difference between a cheeseburger and a big mac.

Honestly most veteran players are looking for end-game content and as of yet there is just not enough new content for the current price of this expansion. I mean, I’d glady pay the €50 if it’s worth it, no problem. The thing is I ate the cake and I want the cherries however they’re making me pay for the cake AGAIN and adding cherries.
That’s complete BS.

It seems to me, and as a matter of fact to a lot of other people out there, that this so called “Expansion” costs nearly the same as the original game. I’m used to paying around €20 to €30 for expansions, not the price of a full new game.
This is rather lame coming from aNet.
Was coming back to play GW2 → Seen the patch notes → Gives up on that idea.
This was hilarious xD!
LIKE!
I just loved your idea. I’d say i’m 70% party player and 30% solo player and i’d love to see something like this implemented! Scaling difficulty according to your party size would be excelent and would solve some probs like… let’s say CoF being OVERpopulated and Arah/SE/HoW/CM being UNDERpopulated. That way you wouldn’t be needing to wait for endless hours to find a party to actually do the dungeon.
Great idea.
PS: It’s my personal opinion, but people saying “no solo this is a multiplayer game blah blah”. Sirs, this game and any game will certainly do better if it goes both ways and meeting players expectation. Having said that, having the OPTIONAL solo or 2/3 man dungeon option would appeal to much more people, hence the positive reaction overall. DON’T forget that there are peak times and low times and it’s not like everyone can be there on time to find the peak time and grab a party. Many people work, have a life and playing comes after, remember that and those deserve to have fun too.

Does not compute… Engrish no… English pliz.
I am so hoping for that to happen ever since i bought gw2.
@NinjaEd.3946 – I understand your POV and it’s actually quite the way i feel about it, however, you couldn’t even possibly think about 2 maning a dungeon on GW2 which is something so awesome and cool, even more soloing a dungeon… there just isn’t much interest beyond aesthetical aspects and bragging rights when it comes to spending over 200+h for, for instance, farming a sword and then realize a sword worth, litteraly, 2000x less being EXACTLY as effective as your 9g sword.
Low level dungeons becoming obsolete isn’t true as i said increasing by percentage your dmg when enhancing, so you wouldn’t exactly sit back, eat a bag of chips and solo AC or CoF. As i said, and i quote:
“Say, you deal 10k dmg with a skill on a mob with a +0 weapon, with a +5 weapon you would deal 10k dmg + from +2.5% dmg to lv80 mobs to +20% dmg to lv1 mobs.”
I don’t think it would make everything lower level or even high level any kind of a breeze to do. ;P
I know you are used to enhancing equipment and become utterly OP, although i am suggesting granting a bonus, not as absurd, when enhancing such as % dmg and % dmg reduction. Think of it somehow as the agony resistance in FotM. The more times you do it, the more resistance against it you get.

@Lord Vem.8649 – People saying “one shotting everything” means you didn’t read my suggestions, next.
@wouw.5837 – Okay, why not?
@Lord Vem.8649 – You’re the second that come here saying “awful idea” or “bad idea”, and i like that you say that but i’d love to have your OPINION rather than your empty words.
@Cloud.7613 – Yeah, that’s why making it % wise and not upgrading everything to the point you deal absurds amounts of damage to lower level mobs/bosses would make everything kinda work, i think.
@Zacchary.6183 – where the heck does that image come from? He seems disturbingly calm for his wounds… seems like a character from Fallout.
@Jemmi.6058 – Not really, runes/sigils/orbs help to counterbalance your build or maximize the focus of your build and they dont really make much difference when you’re scaled down.
As a side note, imagine it this way… Exotic items could be enchanted up to +5 and legendary items could be enchanted to +10. THIS i bet would bring a lot of players back to guild wars 2 and this way there would really be a reason, other than bragging rights to making legendary weapons. I’m sure it would make Anet pretty happy moneywise and playbase wise.
:)

@Castaliea.3156 – Terrible memories such as? -.-´
@thereturnedhero.3284 – If you read my suggestion it wouldn’t exactly make you Overpowered but it would make level 80 (actually, level 200+ or something) actually feel and be more powerful during dungeons and stuff.
Hi GW2 community,
I’ve been playing gw2 since its official launch. I’ve played and stopped a couple of times and now i’m back to it again with some friends.
I’ve been playing a lot of different MMOs out there and it seems that there is a key feature that is lacking in gw2 when comparing it to other mmos out there. You can’t enchant your equipment and to make things worse, you get “nerfed” or scaled down when you go to a lower level area.
Seeing as many people left gw2 because of lack of motivation when it comes to end-game objectives, i’d really like to hear from the devs information on wether they’ll add enhancing or not.
Here’s my idea:
First off, scaling is fine even though it makes you feel quite weak even if you leveled up over 300+ times with your character. This makes gamers feel less rewarded when playing their overfarmed character.
So, my idea is giving players the ability to enhance their whole equipment. How would that work? Let’s say you’re level 80 and you’re doing an Ascalonian Dungeon run, you won’t be able to solo it properly (don’t show me those hit n’ run/hide behind stuff dodge/exploit bugs runs), correct? Well, what if you could enchant your weapon to a maximum, let’s say of +10. For example, your greatsword has X dmg and with each + enchanment it would get extra % dmg.
Say, you deal 10k dmg with a skill on a mob with a +0 weapon, with a +5 weapon you would deal 10k dmg + from +2.5% dmg to lv80 mobs to +20% dmg to lv1 mobs.
Same formula or similar could be applied to your armor. This way i think the endgame would feel A LOT more rewarding and it would be possible to solo mobs or instances or some events that otherwise wouldn’t. Of course, some dungeons would still be VERY hard to solo, you would still have a chance to try it and with skill and a bit of luck you may be able to do it. I understand some mob drops would need to be nerfed in order not to exploit them but this could easely be achieved by lowering the drop rates by x % depending on the mobs level or something similar. People like to feel powerful when playing games like gw2.
Lastly, this is the basic idea and i would really love to hear peoples opinion about this. Fire away!
Congrats mate! I feel really glad that you are having fun trying those builds
! Keep it up!
Alright, i think i will get power/toughness/healing since vitality isn’t that much of a big deal for us. Thanks
Heya fellas,
I’m considering two kinds of armor sets for dungeons. I’m using a 10/0/30/30/0 build, so i’m tankish and i wanted to chose between power/tough/vit armor or power/tough/healing armor.
Which set of armor do you think is best for dungeons? Also, i’m using 6 runes of the soldier which removes 1 condition with each shout (gotta love it in dungeons, it’s amazing support for your team the heals) but i can switch to banners anytime!
Thanks in advance : )
Alright some nice answers u guys got there, thanks a lot really.
So, as a warrior i can tank, right? Like you guys said, of course being careful with some tricky situations. I know guardian is like the top class for tanking or support, but i also think that warriors have a bunch of awesome tankish abilities and supportive.
Oh, and with what weapons do you guys actually go with for tanking? I usually go either for Mace+shield or sword+shield.
Thanks in advance
Hey there fellas,
I’m simply wondering if it’s viable to, for instance, role a tank build in a warrior or a guardian for a dungeon setup. I’ve played Ascalonian Catacombs and i seem to pretty much tank everything with the help of a supporter or 2. Meaning, so far i find the ideal team comp to be a tank or 2 tanky plus 2 supporters and one full dps CC or dps disabler.
Thing is, i’ve tried to run TA yesterday and i did it without probs, however, i didn’t find my tank build to work too well. What i mean is, i basically died WAY too fast for a tank. I mean, come on i had around 4 times more toughness in my warrior than the dpser + the banner heals and + the guardian heals and they still hit me pretty god dang hard i must say.
I’m not going full toughness+vit atm as i have power+toughness+healing power mainly. Do you think it is possible to tank dungeons with a full toughness+vit equip or something? Is it viable?
It just seems that nowadays people mainly go for glass cannon builds and kite until they get 1hitkoed and forget completly that you need a support since EVERY single class has it. If everyone used or some members focus on supporting besides just dealing dmg… it would be a lot easier.
Thanks in advance!
Ah, thanks for the clarification mate. Cheers
Hey there guys,
I was wondering if i would get a good profit out of it if i maxed this profession. Seems very interesting and i’ve leveled it to lv.280 already, seems like a waste of gold so far, but i would like some pro’s opinions! Thanks
bump for a good suggestion indeed
I think that for low end machines it would be great if there was the option to remove the shaders completely. Just a suggestion. ;D
Well their machinery are spread out around the map and sometimes there’s even camps where they use those are shields. I wanna get in one to snipe the Shatterer! xD
…we could have our own cars as a mount? I mean, those war cars that are standing still @ town! Then we could rule the world! ^-^
Well, mainly this seems to be a nVidia prob cause AMD GPUs seem to be just fine. I was expecting to run the game on med settings, but geez, the only way to get this game to med settings is with MSI Afterburner ON.
I don’t know how i can run games that have higher system requirements than GW2 @ higher framerates and higher resolutions & settings, while gw2 runs @ low. : \
Btw, i have an i5-460m @ 2.53GHz with an nVidia Geforce 325m.
Just for the record, my cpu usage is almost always at max between 95 and 100% whereas when i play for instance, the new Sleeping Dogs game on med settings my cpu doesn’t go higher than 50~70%.
