Just wanted to show my appreciation to the art team that made a very impressive job with all the new traits icon as well as the new icons for boons/conditions. But, I have to say that the most impressive is the new Lion Arch. It went beyond all my expectations. Amazing job guys!

FC is the perplex everything server. They all believe they are top notch at roaming because of it too.

So true. Made me laugh cus it’s soooo spot on. I love FC, don’t get me wrong… but they spam a lot of super cheesy builds (that usually involve plex), then get it in their head that they’re better skill-wise than everyone else by a country mile.

I’m from FC and I actually have to agree with this. Yeah, we have a couple of strong players at least by my standards. However for the most part the skill level is the same when it comes to roaming. If it was like NSP talking about roaming then I’d understand.

FC has many roamers indeed…if they’re good that’s another story!

And yes, it does suck to lose all 3 of your fully upgraded keeps to idiots on a karma train who should be fighting for position and points, which is what WvW is supposed to be about. If you are happy to be a server that’s in the basement, then I guess its ok with me. We collectively at FC chose to try to get better and we did. We got no new players, we stepped up our play. Personally I am disappointed, I am used to seeing better out of ET.

Tell me, what your server will gain from this league that ET will not? I bet it’s a [Heavy Bag of Nothing] because you will not make it to 3rd…

Also, who are you to tell how the game is suposed to be played? Are you the developer of this? I don’t think so…

It was a rather good team choice imo. During Bay battle in the afternoon my bags got fulled not 5 or 6, but 7 times in an hour! it’s an all time record. Your commanders just kept throwing ppl inside without using any basic strategy like portals or water fields. lulz

But ya let’s be honest there…we are intimidated by the fact that you found out about our DrA (double rainbow all the way) tactics we got from gold leagues during a secret meeting like you said earlier. We saw that you are countering it with a garnet level tactic called LMP ( let’s throw many players) tactic. But right now we are working on a platinum league tactic (also known as johto league). it’s called HKW (hide yo kids, hide yo wife). When this is gonna be perfected you guys will have no chance of winning!

FC is running SoR tactics, SoR, if you look at gold league, got countered hard and for the same reasons we are countering them, thanks in part to our collaborators from BG letting us know how to counter the cheap 80man blob tactic.

1/ active condition removal

I have the feeling that one of the ranger’s weakness is that he has almost no active way to deal with conditions and that most of them need the pet to be alive and close to you

>> make lightning reflexes remove immobilize, cripple and chill would be a good start to adress this issue.

2/ the power build

when you want to play a power build u realise that the marksmanship tree is overloaded with useful traits while the skirmishing tree is quite lackluster.

>> add the piercing arrow effect to quickdraw ( like warrior’s crack shot would be a good way to solve this problem

I can understand the need to nerf hammer wariors atm but i think that this is too much at the same time. I think that the real problem comes from healing signet. Maybe reducing the base heal to something like 300 and making it scales better with healing would do the trick. Maybe you guys should try that before nerfing hammer damage to the ground. IF you fix that it’ll be easier to find out what to change on wariors next. I mean there is a reason why 90% of wariors use healing signet no matter what their build is.

Why does it seem everyone is picking on [Ohai]? They are a fun guild to fight and not everyone can control “Everyone” in their said guild. Its just something that people are going to have to get over. Yes people laugh at the people they kill its not right but it happens. This match up is pretty fun though i would have to say.

Not picking on them, calling them out on disrespectful behavior. A person’s actions reflect on their guild as a whole, no denying that. A lot of time these guilds are very good at what they do, but they have members that have trashy attitudes, but they aren’t being reigned in. No discipline. To me, when you rep a guild, you are representing what it stands for. negative actions make a guild as a whole look bad, and members should already know this.

A person’s actions don’t necessarly reflect on the guild as a whole bro. We got a thief (Silent) that transfered to europe by mistake because he wasn’t paying attention! IT doesn’t mean that our guild as a whole is “insert the adjective of your choice”!

There are bad players and good players. If you’re the pugger that doesn’t know how to play WvW as it is presented to us, then you SHOULD join a WvW guild and learn not to ruin it for us. However, if you stay in EBG it is fine no matter what, its the pug zone, but you cant lose from learning how to do things right. You don’t have to join a guild, just ask one or follow a commander in Team Speak. Just follow directions, its simple.

We only have 1 nasty pug on SF that griefs his own server purposefully.

I don’t remember things that way; I remember DH capping us at night so we had things to take back in the day, we have (Might be ‘had’ at this point, I’m not entirely sure) a roaming group that currently isn’t on, and we don’t always travel in a huge zerg. We also had an away team that would cap DH and FC’s BL given the opportunity, but yet we were always outnumbered by the enemy zerg. Sometimes we pulled through, sometimes we died. Those were good fights that were worth fighting. Don’t try to tell us something that isn’t true. That and you weren’t on our side when PUBs left the main group to go do something.

Scarlet is a unique villain! When I usually see a villain i get like : “stop talking and die so I can get my loot!”
But with Scarlet it’s different cauz she says tons of funny stuff. I actually don’t wanna kill her cauz I want to hear more and more about the childish/funny kitten she has to say. So in a nutshell she’s amusing and makes me laugh so I wanna keep her around.
In the end it’s all a matter of taste.
If you don’t like her childish sense of humour let me tell you that a lot of players appreciate it.

great times again fighting you guys, that was very enjoyable. Even if we had more players in our group than yours, you guys held your own pretty well (that tanky necro of yours in particular). I wish there was a guild like you on AR!

Saw some Yarr ranger the other day running in a guild group as longbow. Was wondering if someone in Yarr could ask him how he gears his LB ranger stat wise as I’ve been messing around with LB but can’t seem to find a decent gear set for it (down ~80g so far).

Condition ranger getting too easy need a challenge!

k first of all let me tell you this build sucks for dueling but if you have 4-5 players in front of you it’s full of lulz and pewpew.

so main weapon is LB (berserker) with fire rune
secondary is greatsword (knight) for mobility and block

traits 30/30/10/0/0
marksmanship 1,10,11
squirm 2,10,12
wilderness 10

armor : knight except chest which is berserker rune is divinity
jewelry: berserker amulet, 2 berserker accessory, 2 cavalier ring

utility : lighting reflex, quickning zephyr, signet of stone

you can replace number 11 on markmanship by piercing arrow for even more pewpew but signet of stone’s invul can save you from bad thieves spamming HS.
other than that this is by far the funniest build i found on ranger

Right when it seemed like we pushed the last of u guys out to your spawn you progressively got more and more ppl and managed to push us and hold in Vale quite well! Had great fights for the stuggle of reclaiming the camp the whole time, until the [EDGE] group and a few others decided to use u guys as distraction and almost successfully golem rushed our Hills keep… (Shame on you guys) Thankfully I had it claimed with full buffs when I heard about it :P Still, great fight from the [Yarr] group and any other FC there, and lookin forward to possibly more

I used a similar build (same traits/similar gear) for a very long time and yes this is by far the build on which i’ve had the most fun on ranger. It is very good if you have 10+ players in front of you but, it gets really complicated if you roam with 5 and less players, if you face a bunker teams or if you are into 5v10+ kind of stuff

You’ll be the scourge of the plains in no time!

also works if you have a mesmer (running away is a bit harder but phantasms can win the fight for you while you drink your favourite beverage and/or eat popcorn)

last but not least, try to run a bunker regen/condi build! what could be better than spamming condis while healing 1k+ per second? bonus points for running it with a BM ranger, even more OP AI skillz!
