Why would they remove these from the map?
So until I reach a higher level, those icons wont be available? Seems counter-intuitive
Hello. I started playing GW2 back when it came out. I stopped playing for a long time. I have recently gotten back into the game and have noticed something that I cannot figure out how to fix.
The POI and Skill Challenge Icons are missing from the map. My map completion box is checked on the map legend. The only icon in that category that shows up on my map is the Hearts.
Any ideas? Am i missing something obvious?
Thanks In advance.

you dont have the mats to craft anything
if you would, there would be numbers there
the only part of the text that is missing now is the nameget the 2 leather needed and see for yourself
I see now that when I have enough mats I see a (1) next to the item. It still sucks that it cuts off whether the item is master, rare, etc…
It can’t be that hard to add a resizing handle on the bottom right like there is for the inventory

Anyone have a solution to this?
Some windows have an option to re-size. The Inventory being one of them.
In the crafting window, when you have a crafting option, sometimes it doesn’t fit in the space provided.
Example: Rejuvenating Iron Plated Inscription (Master) (1)
I am able to see most of the text, but not the number of items I am able to craft based on my available materials. All I see is:
Rejuvenating Iron Plated Inscription ( …
Anyone have a solution for this as I don’t see an option to drag the window any bigger in order to see all of the text?
Attached is a screenshot of what I am talking about:
Attached is a screenshot of what I mean. You cannot see how many of each Item you can craft, regardless of available materials, without either clicking on each, individual item, or re-sizing the window(which I don’t see as an option). As you can see, it is only an issue with items with many adjectives describing the item.
Come on…. I understand if I don’t have the materials…
What I’m saying, is that if the items’ text is fewer than the available text area, I can see it all. For the items that have adjectives describing it, that are longer than the area available…all I see is “….” I should be able to resize the window in order to see all of the text.
Is this a question that has been asked ad nauseum?
I figured there would have been a few people who also see a problem with the current setup.

Alright. I guess I was being impatient. Mods, feel free to remove this thread.
Thanks for everyone’s help.
Ha Ha. Yes. I have plenty of candy. Thanks for asking. ( I work in IT, so I understand asking the simplest of questions first. lol)
For instance, I am on the 4th location (Blackroot Gut), and I found out where to go (via the walkthrough) and the ghost is already visible without using any scans.
This is so frustrating as I am the type of player who likes to take the time and quest.
Thanks for everyone’s help.
Yes. I am sure. I am watching a walkthrough video to make sure I was in the right places. I use the matter meter, and nothing shows.
If another player in the world uses their Meter, then the ghost shows, and I can then talk to them and get the next note. But I can’t bring them up on my own.
I don’t know what’s going on. The only part of the Halloween DLC I have done, is talk to the first ghost in the plaza.
I login today, and apparently, phase 3 has already started. I try to go through Act 1, but none of the ghosts show. I go to the places, and use the Matter Meter, but I get nothing.
In the middle of the plaza in Lions Arch, the Lion statue is gone, and the “Mad Kings Realm” is already open.
How did this happen? Did I take too long to complete the previous quests?
Is there anyway I can “reset” the quest so I can achieve the acts on my own?
