I love the new Braham Heavy Armor Skin and would like to buy it, but if I read the description right it seems as tho its a “one time use” item.
Being newly 80, I’m sure I will get better armor eventually and I’d hate to think that the skin I just spent $10 on, can only be used once.
Please tell me I’m wrong. Please tell me I can reuse this skin again when I get armor.
Wow. Haven’t had that happen to me yet, but wow. Just wow. That’s very poor design. I hope they fix it soon.
The 15% tax goes toward 47% off the population that are freeloaders of the system. However, the other 53% goes towards the richest 1% of the nation by way of tax breaks and lost tax revenue being hidden in offshore foreign havens…
And how dare you complain that your children dont have healthcare, while the rich have barely enough money to pay their immigrant estate workers 74 copper an hour.
Same thing happened to me last night with a group. First I went hammer, but would miss a lot. Then I went rifle and at first it seemed better, but soon after, I was obstructed constantly. I even tried standing on top of steps, where there should logically no obstruction at all, but that didnt help. It seems like I’m being obstructed by the gravelings themselves because it would occur more frequently as the graveling mob grew in size.
We did get very close, and we were patient, but we gave up after an hour. This is why I’m here, looking for tips.
Our group was 2 wars, 2 rangers and thief.

yea, its totally turned me off to wvw. i simply cant afford it. i’d love to play, even though we get pounded most if not all of the time. but the cost is too prohibitive.
And no, im not just ‘unlucky’. Its not bad luck if i can predict the spawns timing within a few seconds each and every time. Its just poor design. Im only 38 but its my first and so far only part of the game I dislike.
it happens a lot, its not bad luck.
… of an otherwise awesomely fun fight.
It’s not very fun to fight your way through some mobs, get to a veteran, have a great fight thats very close only to have some spawn pop-up and ruin it completely.
I said to myself, “ok you kitten, I’ll do it faster this time”. Came back did fight again. Was flawless this time, just about to beat the veteran creature. Boom. Now instead of the two lowly spawns popping up, a dynamic event pops up.
My reward for trying? A large repair bill… totally UnFun…
It can’t be that hard to program in a detection mechanism. Help people enjoy the game more by implementing it.
Looks good Ziga
you dont have to use the rocks but i think its awesome that Anet wants us to think outside the box!
hadry har you got me too =)
WTB – Block User Forum poster button, for trolls like UgaBuga.6457
Its to Anet’s advantage to ban them. Free $60. They’ll get to it eventually.
I miss the days of map chat, as it was in the 3 day head start and a few days into launch. People were helpful and conversations were real and enjoyable. Each week the maturity level has nose dived and a lot of people, myself included, are turned off by most of the childish crap.
Don’t dismiss map chat. Use it to your advantage. How many of these morons would you want to party with? None. Therein lies the advantage. Block them. No need to argue with them. Just block them and move one step closer to a better dungeon run in the future…
Agreed. I’m on Anvil Rock, we’re always dominated. I don’t even bother queuing. No one will be interested in being someones chew toy. It’s very bad.
I didnt know about the server matchmaking system. That sounds like a logical thing to do, but totally useless with all these “free server” transfers going on. Seem they need to turn that off asap and get the server match making going.
Another issue, is that I purposely joined an unpopular server to avoid latency issues. It seems that people as of last night have hit our server hard, I imagine trying to find better queues, and now we’re having bad lag.
A pretty raw deal all in all.
Dueling other classes 1 on 1 is the best way to learn how to fight. It’s near impossible in any type of real match. The action is too fast and there are too many visual/audio queue’s to pick up on. It’s especially hard for working folk like me, that only get to play for an hour or two a day.
Please add dueling.
Awesome thread of info. Kudos.
So I upgraded my account to “digital deluxe” edition, via Black Lion Trading to get the “guild influence” for my newly acquired guild. How is that applied exactly?
thanks everyone! love this community as much as the game…
I saw a HUGE jump when I went from an AMD Athlon 64 3.0ghz, to a Intel i5 with the same video card.
Before I bought the motherboard, I borrowed a friends Geforce 500 series card, and there was little difference, stuttered alot.
I think CPU is huge in this game…
to craft bags, will i be able to farm mats at my pitiful level ?
just a guess, but I’ve heard similar issues having to do with the UI size. If you minimized it, it seems to cause some issues with text/screens
Looking for the fastest/cheapest way to get some bags. Suggestions?
Keep in mind, I’ve had this game since the 3 day head start and I’ve only just hit level 17!
Working for a living sucks!
Arena Net – Keep the difficulty as hard as it is. Just increase the reward significantly…

It’s not that easy as far as figuring out all the nuances. I’ve died more times in this mmo than any other i’ve ever played- But I LOVE that. I dont want easy. I want to have to think about my next move and whether its a good idea.
Definately needs a better tutorial system for newbies. I’m still lost about certain aspects. The wiki is good, but something with more detail step-by-step is needed.
