Hi all.

I played GW for about a month or two at release. I got two professions to level 80, tried some dungeons and what not, and got bored. I will admit – I sucked at the game.

My biggest gripe was the dungeons seemed too hard. I’m sure if it was my friends and I not knowing what we were doing or what, but we couldn’t seem to complete much “end game” content.

I’m just curious if this has changed at all. Are the dungeons and level 80 content hard to do with a pick up group of strangers? Does anyone do it like this or is everyone in a guild by this point?

I’ve missed all the content, since I only played for a little over a month after release. So why should I come back?

My reaction is that you are overreacting. It doesn’t mean soulbound armor can’t be transmuted, it means EQUIPPED armor can’t be transmuted.

Unequip it and calm down.

A lot of people have got it already. Not sure what you mean by tips? Just do the hearts, vistas, and skill points, etc.

If you mean world completion then just explore every area of the map and find little hidden spots.

Yup. Because most MMO’s you just kill something once then you have the best gear in the game. Then you quit. Usually takes about a week to a month then the game is over.

Yes there is a new patch coming tonight as a matter of fact.

- New level cap increased to 150
- Mounts (inlcuding dragons and mountable starships to take you to other planets)
- 400 man raids
- All player receive full exotics, 5 legendaries, 100 gold, and 3 mounts immediately upon hitting level 80

So how do we get it? Still not seeing any way.

How do I get to the fort trinity POI now it says they fixed it?

The only way is to multiply it.

All the influence and stuff earned is related to the server you play on. So if you switch you will move, but all your other members will still be back on the other server unless you tell them to move.

Any upgrades you built will be back on the old server, so you’d have to earn influence again and build all your upgrades again.

Basically your guild exists across all servers but each server has its own influence and upgrades.

I saw another thread two days ago where someone from Arena Net responded to a question on whether or not guild halls would be coming in the future. I’m curious why they are willing to respond to something like that but are so quiet about capes. All I hear is speculation that they will be coming.

So, are capes coming or not? If so, when?

You know what? I think the score/music is epic, but it has started to get tiring.

I’ve replaced the entire thing with the Final Fantasy 11 soundtrack and it is much better to be honest. I really prefer the fact that in that game each zone had its own unique theme/song. They looped constantly and were high quality catchy pieces of music that have stuck with me to this day, despite not having played the game for years.

No knock on J.Soule or his music, but it just doesn’t have the same hook to it. So yea, it was good at first but got a bit stale. As for the voice acting — it is spotty. Some is real good, some is terrible.

As a ranger, i put my back brace on, remove everything else, and make sure that it’s ticked ON to see it, and i see nothing. This always confused me.

Want to know why?

It is because the check box to hide the item is there for future items that will be released, like capes. You can check whether you want to show or hide your cape. Obviously a back brace isn’t going to show up.

This is why we need guild capes. I will not take no for an answer.

Ok oh really im level 11 and im like having a blast and its worth it to play ya know? thats why i bother its like fun and stuff? and i go to the quests and the hearts and the events good times good funs! skills are nice and they unlock easy love it! i finish main story and i level that class and i play dungeon and dynamics oh my. i love games!

Yea, it’s just one, since each character has their own unique map completion percentage.

Why did you rush through the game and make a level 80 with 5 sets of exotics and complete everything there is to do in the game and then come here and complain about it? You’d have the samekittenproblem in any game you played, so please, just stop.

I haven’t personally played WoW but I have many friends that did and maybe you should think back on what that game was like in the first three weeks.

The title does not imply that there will be battles between in-game player created guilds. I’m sorry that you believed it did. It is definitely possible that there will be GvG in the future, and I believe it will happen personally. It is just going to take time. But the name Guild Wars has nothing to do with that.

Never said there wouldn’t be capes. I would love capes. I’m saying that’s probably why we don’t have them yet.

You’re right, you didn’t. But plenty of others are using the charr as a reason why we will never see capes and stating it as if its fact. I just used your post to address those others at the same time.

Why does there have to be something to aim for? What is there to aim for in a single player game? Or any game for that matter?

HINT: If it doesn’t rhyme with “fun” then the game is over for you.

+1 for capes. We need them asap.

I’m wondering this as well. Will the free content updates include things like new zones, or do we have to wait for an expansion for that? I know there will be expansions that unlock new areas, but the way it was described it sounds like they want to provide content that would be in an expansion as part of regular updeas.

Also, can you include guild capes in the next update please?

I understand maybe there is some clipping on the Charr model, but I mean come on? Don’t give them capes then. They can be the race that only uses back packs.

Why cant the rest of us have the option to have a cape? If you’re a charr you can’t. Whats the big deal? Are you worried about discrimination against the Charr?

I want cloaks. There are still many other people who want cloaks. Were they shelved temporarily or are there no plans to ever give us our cloaks.

Please. Give us the cloaks.
