Tuatha Social Gaming Community
A Collaboration of Like Minded Guilds, Clans, and Families to create a fun & friendly gaming experience while keeping the uniqueness of each individual group intact. Meet people, make friends, develop new relationships, and have a blast doing it.

The Tuatha Social Gaming Community is designed to expand the social gaming experience beyond the limits of modern day MMO’s. While some games can limit players to 10 guild alliances, the Tuatha is designed to expand past these barriers allowing for more cooperation, a larger player base to network with, and the resources to enjoy the games we play to their fullest ability.

The overall goal of the Tuatha is to help establish new friendships, relationships, and create unity among those that participate in the community. Through our regular weekly in-game events to our out-of-game nationwide Meet-and-Greet tour. Players who embrace the Tuatha will find a more social side of the games we play while meeting new people and having a great time doing so.

From our first venture in Warhammer Online we have been bound by a simple code of conduct; Blades out, Not In. Which means that at no time should a member ever attack another within the Tuatha (No Infighting). This is our only rule and allows us to continue to grow without restrictions or weak points.

Who’s Involved
The Tuatha has been an extended community for many for almost 5 years. It allows guilds both large and small to broaden their player pool and see all that the game has to offer. The guilds, clanns, and communities listed below have participated in our Tuatha Social Gaming Community and still play an active part in the games they chose to play. In it’s history the Tuatha has been home to 93 guilds and spans 3 games.

Current Guild Wars 2 Participants:
Bellum Aeternus
Captain Jacks
Dexteram Family
Dragons of Eternity
Fragnarok
Gaiscioch
Harbingers of Light
Heavens Royal Knights
Knights of Steele
North
Obsidian Guard
Penumbra Effect
Vigilance

Tuatha Features & Benefits

A Family Based Community – The focus of the Tuatha is to create a unified front for all guilds, large and small, to collaborate, share, and experience all that the game has to offer.

A Casual Friendly Environment – We allow players and guilds to play as often as they like, participate as much as they like, and vacation as much as they like. We are a no strings attached community.

A Resource – The Tuatha provides players with a chance to gain experience and learn from others in a friendly environment.

What We Are Not:

An In Game Alliance – There is no need to break existing alliances or friendships. We operate entirely out of game and in game via as separate chat channel viewable by Tuatha Members only.

A Dictator – We do not tell members or guilds how to play, when to play, or how much to play. Each house is under their own control. The only rule we share is “Blades Out, Not In”

An Elitist Group – The Tuatha is not just for the elite gamer, we welcome members of all skill levels.

Who Are We Looking For?

  • “We” Thinkers
  • Family & Friends
  • Casual Guilds
  • Small Guilds
  • PvP Based Guilds
  • Casual Raiding Guilds
  • Roleplay Guilds, Clans, or Families

I get the competitiveness of Tier 1. You have the 3 best servers in the entire game duking it out week after week. I get the “Trash Talk”, I have played football for over 20 years now and am quite used to the chest thumping, ego filled, championship chasing testosterone fest that becomes the first 3 seeds in a tournament. This is all normal.

What baffles me is the amount of middle school drama getting spewed out across all 3 servers lately. I mean we must have some ridiculous trolls among us. The rumor mill is running wild. I know blackgate has people on their server trying to rip them appart, SOR has their share and I’d doubt that JQ doesn’t as well. I don’t know when we got infiltrated by the myspace junkies but the level of drama on our servers seems to be on a significant rise.

Can we put down the girl scout cookies and get back to having a blast in the most insanely fun wvw matchup in the game. JQ/BG/SOR matchup has been a ton of fun. I admit I tend to gun for BG more than JQ when I lead but thats because I follow a simple philosophy in sports and gaming. The biggest mouth gets my boot in it. BG has talked more trash about SOR than any server I’ve ever encountered which makes them my favorite to pick on. JQ brags about being #1, but thats because they are. Until someone steps up and dethrones the king they deserve to sit there and enjoy their number 1 spot and all the ego rubbing that comes with it. BG on the other hand has been a long time rival who I have always loved facing off with. When and if they drop to tier 2 I will miss them. They are formidable foes and a good fight to be had.

The one thing I think all of us could use more of is Sportsmanship. Ego’s and Rankings aside we are the top 3 servers in Guild Wars 2. All of us share this. Every time I step on the battlefield I know we’re facing off with the best players that this game has to offer and that my friends is what it’s all about. You never get better playing someone worse than yourself. This is as hard as it gets and you all should be proud to be in Tier 1. Don’t let the drama queens drag you down.

WvW Poll 14 June: Desert Borderlands (Closed)

Fact: Some people like to zerg and have massive zerg v zerg fights on a smaller map
Fact: Some people like to out maneuver their opponent, move unseen, and fight in smaller groups.

There needs to be a compromise for both styles of players. Both borderlands bring joy to the table for different people. Why prevent people from enjoying the game by limiting it to one.

We previously voted on what map rotation we’d want and most of us said 2 Alpine 1 Desert. What’s wrong with that concept? Everyone wins.

Greetings WvW Junkies & Bystanders Alike,
With so much negativity spewing over these forums I figure it’s high time for some constructive posts that highlight some of your favorite foes and why.

For me, my favorite matchup has been Isle of Janthir. After weeks of fighting these guys and so many different leadership styles going on over there they were one of my favorite to fight. They were typically honorable and always fought tooth and nail no matter how the odds were. I can’t point the finger at any guild in particular but have to give them all a firm salute and I hope to fight against them again someday.

The Gaiscioch Family has compiled a list of things we wish we knew, and a collection of items that we wish we had, the day we began the journey to 80. We have put together a short lesson plan to help new warriors get their feet wet and learn about various aspects of the game that often get overlooked and unexplained.

To show our gratitude for players stepping up and trying to better themselves, we will be giving each attendee who completes our course will receive a special gift from the Gaiscioch Family to help them on their way.

  • Traveling Methods
  • Accessing Lions Arch, WvW, and other Low Level Destinations
  • Commanders & Their Role in GW2

Did [GSCH] Gaiscioch actually leave SoR?

in WvW

Posted by: Foghladha.2506

Foghladha.2506

GSCH allows their members to play where they want as a Guest, however we do have a policy against using a roster slot when you are not native to SOR. Members who transfer off SOR are removed from the roster as soon as they are discovered.

Gaiscioch has been and forever will be home to Sanctum of Rall. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either insane or trolling you. When they close SOR we leave this game. We love this server and the memory of our dear friend way too much to have it any other way.

I keep hoping for a pvp style rewards style for wvw. Would be great to get dungeon rewards for doing wvw. For those of us who prefer non scripted opponents and encounters. Although I must admit, a tequatl sized pve event in the wvw lake would interest me greatly. It would be awesome to have a massive creature to try to pry away from your enemies.

The Death of Sanctum of Rall

in WvW

Posted by: Foghladha.2506

Foghladha.2506

I acknowledge that SOR is in last place on the WvW leaderboards, but I hardly agree SOR is dead. Over the past 2 months we’ve had a significant surge of new players, so much I ended up running a welcome to guild wars 2 event last weekend and will be continuing it this weekend. We had close to 40 participants last week, getting escorted around showing them what a world boss was and how to get to WvW.

Are we going to be a powerhouse like we were back when TW, CHOO, FEAR ran the show? Doubtful. SOR is in full recreational WvW mode now. People go out they have fun for a few hours then they leave. Thats life on SOR WvW right now.

Unless some guilds or mass amounts of new players join SOR we will likely stay there. The part that cracks me up is how many of the “Ex-SOR” players have to go point and make fun of us when this is an effect of them leaving.

Since this game launched GSCH has done it’s best to accommodate players and what they need. When Indo and company asked us to stay off the field until Thursday, we abided for almost a year. Until the queues were gone. We in fact moved our regular 6-9PM PST event to 12 – 3AM PST so that we could help out at night. We instead hosted events to put legendaries into SOR members hands being most serious WvW players don’t have time to get that stuff. So we GAVE AWAY 9 Legendary Weapons. Including Eternity. We started hosting community wide Guild Missions multiple times a week so everyone on the server could get credit.

Our community is built around professional lives. We’re not a community that has players with a lot of time. We don’t schedule our lives around our gametime, we schedule gametime around our lives.

For example. Free time is not something I have. I run the technology department for my company by day, play and manage 3 football (Competitive Mens, Recreational Coed , and Recreational Mens) teams by weeks end, bowl competitively on mondays, have a wife and a child, maintain 14 different web sites, and run Gaiscioch in 2 different games. Did I mention I also run Gaiscioch Magazine and our charity events?

I get between 12 hours a week to play games. 6 During primetime, 6 during the middle of the night. Thats my life. I don’t get the luxury of playing games 40 hours a week. Those days left me in jr. high school.

Many of our members are in the same boat. They don’t have a whole lot of time to play so we all manage our schedules and pencil in time to be together. The rest of the week is spotty at best. We’ve got several scheduled events each week but we rarely see more than 20 GSCH at any of them. Most of the time it’s between 9 – 15 GSCH and whoever we can find on SOR.

Gaiscioch is built from the ground up as a place where active professionals can have a chance to be a part of a community. Most of us have been kicked out of other guilds for not being active enough.

I’m sorry if you are placing your own ideas of what the average player is, on our community because thats not the case. Our average member spends 8 hours a week in game. Thats it. It’s not because we don’t want to, it’s because our lives are that busy. Games are what we do for fun.

As I said loooooong ago.

“Tier one or Tier none does not matter, We are here to stay.”

Sanctum of Rall is our home, and we will continue doing what we can, when we can. Aside from that, it’s up to each player to decide how they want to spend their day. If theres a WvW guild that wants to fight then I welcome you to come over. We will welcome you with open arms so long as you realize. What you see now from GSCH is all you’re going to get. The rest is on you. Life simply doesn’t allow us the freedom to play as often as we like. I’m sorry if that makes you angry, but thats how it is. Families and Real Lives come first ALWAYS.

Additionally the day they take SOR away from us is the day we leave Guild Wars 2. Were playing GW2 to honor a fallen friend. When his tribute server is gone so will we fade into the mists. I’d rather be last place and still honor my friends memory that be first and let it fade.

2/26 Patch Notes Discussion

in WvW

Posted by: Foghladha.2506

Foghladha.2506

Finally a patch that makes people play the game as it was intended. This is a huge improvement for the casual players out there. A sad sad day for the min maxers that have to use anything that gives them an advantage over the other guy. Overall I’m happy with this patch. It will improve the game a lot for those that do not play the game in the min/max style. Which means more people in WvW which is good for all of us.

Choosing the Right Server For Your Guild

in Looking for...

Posted by: Foghladha.2506

Foghladha.2506

Greetings Everyone,
Over the past 2 years I’ve been at the back of the pack and the front of the pack. The playstyles of the servers all in between are vastly different. I know many guilds are looking for new homes and I would like to take some time to explain the climates within various servers as I see it.

Your Focus
First and foremost you need to decide where you as a guild stands. Why do you play WvW? Is it to be part of the best server in GW2? Is it to be the best in your timeslot? Is it to be a part of a community? These are all questions you need to ask and discover the answer to. You can not have success with your team without knowing where you stand and what your after.

The Many Goals of WvW
When you break WvW down to a mechanic there are several things at play.

Server Rankings: Rank each of our servers from 1 to 24 or 27 depending on the region. This metric was placed into game to be the Unicorn that the competitive in nature chase. Without this piece ArenaNet would not be able to ensure the competitive nature of WvW and keep the most competitive players playing.

Points Per Tick: This allows competitive players to gauge how successful they have been in raising their servers overall score. Competitive players will be compelled to drive this higher.

Objectives: Scattered throughout the battlefield these provide players with targets to try to overtake. Some communities focus on taking as many as possible, some focus on holding as many as possible. In the end the mechanic of WvW is centered around taking and holding objectives. Most players will play WvW to do so.

These are the primary elements to WvW. After that you get some of the Meta games including:

GvG & Duels: Guild on Guild Action is quite popular. There are large portions of communities that love to get in on this action and hopefully someday ArenaNet will encourage some structured GvG action.

Karma Farming: This focuses on taking a lot of objectives quickly avoiding the majority of fights in exchange for high turnover in rewards including wEXP, EXP, Gold, Loot, and Karma. This is traditionally a fan favorite of casual communities.

The Fights!: Many guilds play WvW for the fights. The scoreboard plays secondary and they are just looking to find an opponent to fight. I see a whole lot of these types out there that will even forgo the reward if it means they have something to kill.

Psycological Warfare: Some players find a ton of enjoyment in tricking their enemy into doing things they want them to do. This can be a really fun metagame if you’re good at it. There’s nothing like having your opponent open a door for you so you can steal it away from them. Some players prefer PvP over PvE because PvP involves Psychology. It’s more of a sport than just a game.

Complitionists: These players are out for achievements and map completion. You will find them occasionally out there and they are motivated by achievements. Unlike the PPT chasers they chase a different metric being their achievement score.

Now these are just a few of the types of WvW fun you can find out there. What you want to think about is why do you play?

I referenced our site, so people who have encountered us in DAOC, WAR, RIFT, ESO, or GW2 will recognize us as a group of people that goes out of our way to help others.

I referenced the Sanctum of Rall post as, our server was named after a man who also gave everything and asked for nothing in return that just happened to be one of our members.

I reference the events because those are open to Everyone, hosted in SORC a temporary event guild we only use for getting people loot every week. We invite people at the start of the event. The guild is dormant until the next event. The only reason it is in existence is to act as a container so that anyone and everyone can get the game rewards. It’s not a guild. If the game didn’t require people to represent it wouldn’t even exist.

Choosing the Right Server For Your Guild

The Matchup Breakdown
Now being Football season I’ll make an analogy for you all about choosing a server by it’s tier.

Tier 1 & 2: The NFL
These are the pinnacle of the competitive WvW servers. They are focused solely on the first few of the Goals above and PPT rules all. These servers typically have the best coverage, the most aggressive guilds, and a very competitive attitude.

Pros:

  • Competitive
  • 24/7 Coverage
  • In the spotlight
  • Fast Paced
  • Heavy Action

Cons:

  • Queues
  • Lag / Crashes / Disconnects
  • Zerg Focused
  • Very Few Small Scale Fights
  • Competitive
  • High Guild Turnover
  • Requires high time commitment and investment

Tier 3 & 4: NCAA
These servers typically are on the rise. They are competitive focused but lack the coverage to be a serious contender in Tier 1 & 2. Typically you see them recruiting from Tier 1 and 2 with promises of future glory.

Pro:

  • Focus on Building Community & Numbers
  • Passionate WvW Community
  • Occasional Small Scale Fights

Cons:

  • Lack of Coverage
  • Division of Playstyles is usually present
  • The Blame Game can cause major problems within the community.

Tier 5 & 6: High School
These servers are future thinking. They are working on planning a foundation that will lead them to higher glory. Usually these servers are in the rebuilding phase of trying to attract the competitive players to their server so that they can begin to make the climb into the higher tiers.

Pros:

  • Your guild matters
  • Appreciation for efforts
  • Tighter knit communities with less ego war
  • Lots of Small Scale fights

Cons:

  • Lack of coverage
  • Blame Game can hurt progress
  • Hard to gain new players and guilds

Tier 7 & 8: Recreational Beer League
These servers could care less what the PPT is at the end of the week so long as they had a good time. In my time in WvW I must say some of my funnest nights have been in these tiers. The attitudes are light, by now most of the seriously competitive players have left for other shores and what’s left is the people who just care about sharing some time with friends and having a good laugh.

Pros:

  • Light Attitudes
  • Good Learning Environment
  • Pretty Evenly matched fights
  • Great place for casual players
  • Your efforts are clearly seen
  • Breeds communities focused on fun and friendliness
  • Lots of Small Scale fights

Cons

  • No coverage
  • Little Competitiveness
  • Near Impossible to recruit competitive players
  • Competitive players tend to get frustrated with lack of drive

In The End
You need to find the type of community you want to be a part of. Whether its an established champion like Blackgate or Jade Query, or an Up And Comer like Isle of Janthir or Northern Shiverpeaks, or you just want to share a pint and a spike with some great people and have a good laugh with folks like Sanctum of Rall and Ferguson’s Crossing. In the end we all play this game for different goals.

Success is a matter of Perspective, not a mechanic. For some being champion is Success, for others making a difference on the battlefield when they can is Success, for others it’s sharing a good laugh with friends. Each of our goals are different and thats what makes this game so beautiful.

We have so many great cultures and lifestyles all blended into these 8 tiers. Whatever your playstyle theres a home waiting for you.

The Upside of being SOR

in WvW

Posted by: Foghladha.2506

Foghladha.2506

Everyone knows the story of Sanctum of Rall. We had a glorious start, a dramatic internal war. We’ve seen first place, we’ve seen last place, we fought our way all the way back to tier 6 when server linking hit.

At first we hated it. We grew attached to Dragonbrand our first foster parent. They were an awesome group to play with. When the second match hit we were paired with Fort Aspenwood which was a pretty drastic change over Dragonbrand. During our time with FA DB would suffer a terrible internal war and be gutted just like SOR was back in the day. They went from Tier 1 to now struggling vs Tier 4.

This is where we noticed that while being a mercenary server kinda sucks in the fact youll never be able to build a lasting relationship with your paired server and youll be expected to change voice coms every 8 weeks. It does have some distinct advantages.

1. We have no Glicko rating – we are ranked by population not scores.
2. Doesn’t matter what happens we will always be paired with a tier 2 server, unless our population rises then well be paired with a tier 3 server.
3. We get a front row seat to play along side some pretty great people from all servers. We will face foes as allies and later as frenemys.
4. We watch the constant rise and fall of servers from a distance without it gutting our server. Politics and Egos are left for the glicko scoring servers and were left to have some fun.

So in hind sight life on Sanctum of Rall post server linking is actually pretty awesome. Great fights nonstop, get to learn from all the greats and play along side them, and we dont have to get involved in petty political games. We just go out there and fight and enjoy the spoils of battle.

If your looking to be locked in at T2 and take vacations to T1 and T3 occassionally this is a great place to call home. No winning, no losing, just nonstop battles everywhere you turn. Its like having the best parts of gw2 without all the uglyness.

Just my 2c perspective on server linking from one of the mercenary servers perspectives.

Call to arms - Sanctum of Rall

We’ve never really had the opportunity to take Great Tyrian Adventure to WvW as before our drop from T1 every map was queued for hours on end. It was impossible to get people on the map. Additionally the hard-core wvwers took offense to me being on the field before thursday in primetime. So I just kept my mouth shut and ran it as a PvE only event.

If you look at [GSCH] history, our first major community event was siege night in DAOC on Nimue, our second was Open PuG Night which became Battle for Badlands in Warhammer, our third was Telara Saga which sieged the opposing realms capital city.

GSCH has and always will love their Siege Warfare and will do our best to hold exciting events in the PvP front if the opportunity is there. Now that my chains have been lifted and I’m not going to cause problems within the server by doing so I do have plans for Season 4 to make a birth into WvW. I still need a few months to rebuild the loot vault and get the plans flushed out but by mid to end of summer I want to be rolling it out.

In the mean time I will be hosting Foghladha’s Speed Run Missions & WvW every Thursday @ 6-9PM PDT/Server and Saturday 11PM-2AM PDT/Server. These will spend the first hour flying through the 4 guild missions and then taking the party directly into WvW afterwards. There wont be any special raffle or anything but if things work right we will be laying the foundation for season 4.

[GSCH] of Sanctum of Rall - Open Invitation

in WvW

Posted by: Foghladha.2506

Foghladha.2506

Greetings WvW Junkies,
I know lately some tempers have been flared, accusations made, and I see our name coming up quite a bit. I want to encourage anyone who see’s a Gaiscioch [GSCH] member being rude in chat, cheating, exploiting, or otherwise being a jackwaggon to send me a screenshot directly to: bfoley@gaiscioch.com. I will be more than happy to introduce them to the door. As expected when the family elders sign on people behave differently when we are not. I am more than willing to take this on head up if someone gives me the direction to such needle in this very large haystack.

I would like to share with you the credo that ALL members of the Gaiscioch are bound too.

Our House Rules:

Blades Out, Not In
An ancient Celtic family rule which states that one member of the family shall not turn their blade on their family. Hate and Rage are to be pointed outwardly at the foes invading our lands. Love and Companionship are to be pointed inward at the family. Attacking a member of the family can result in dismissal and will be dealt with swiftly by each family leader.

Our Credo

Honor
I will honor the community by acting in a manner that speaks of our kindness, I will refrain from activities that would dishonor the community, and I will honor the requests of the community elders. I will fight my opponents with honor, giving them a fair fight. I will not spawn camp, grief, cheat, or harass my opponents. I will encourage them to fight and win my battles with the highest of honors.

Respect
I will respect those around me both within the community and outside, I will act in a manner which speaks of our benevolence and kindness, and I will not disrespect the community by engaging in spiteful comments or actions even when provoked.

Integrity
I will hold our community’s integrity close to heart and I realize that my actions directly affect that of the whole community. I will say what I do, and do what I say. I will not fall back on promises or make false claims.

Fellowship
I will meet others with open arms and welcome those who cross our path. I will act in a welcoming way and ensure that those who participate in our events feel welcome whether they are part of the community or not.

Our Etiquette Guideline:

Think We Not Me (Push Vs Pull)
When asking for help from the Community try to avoid wording your request as such that you are asking someone to do the work for you. A statement such as “Can someone help me with this quest?” is a request, it pushes your objective on others, however a by rewording your statement to “I am organizing a group for this quest, If you are interested let me know.” you create an invitation, which pulls members of similar interest to you. Both mean the exact same thing however one expresses that you are looking out for your community and not just for yourself. This in turn will encourage shared adventures. After all, a community is not about you or I, it’s about us.

Play How You Want, When You Want, As Long As You Want
Our community is a casual gaming community and with this we do not tell people how to play, when to play, or how long to play. Our members are free to come and go as they please without the fear of exile or grudges being bore. They can play as much or as little as they like.

Conversation & Raidcall
The synergy of a community can turn ugly at any moment. Conversation within the community needs to have clear boundaries to prevent bad blood and hostile attitudes from forming. We ask that all members keep the RaidCall and community chat child safe at all times. We have a lot of families that game together and we do not wish to cause heartache.

In addition please refrain from discussing religion, politics, and other heated debate prone topics. We do not need unnecessary divides within the community. Trolling is strictly forbidden and falls under the “Blades Out, Not In” Rule and will result in removal from the community.

Using Community Efforts For Self Profit
Please do not use the Marketplace, or Family Vault to profitize your gaming experience. We do not seek profits from within the family and at no time should you claim the work of others to turn a profit. This is also considered part of the “Blades Out, Not In”

If you feel a member of our family does not uphold these items please by all means send me an email and I will deal with them swiftly. The Gaiscioch was founded around server community building and any act against our goal is a banishable offense. As with any game launch we see an initial flood of new people and it takes a few months to figure out which ones fly and which ones sink. I thank you for your understanding.

NEED more commander tag colors please

in WvW

Posted by: Foghladha.2506

Foghladha.2506

What? You have purple. That’s all you need!

Ok, I really don’t know if there’s an option to add colors or a plan to do so. But just in case, what would be on the wish list? Keep in mind the tag should be visible on the mini and world/overhead map, so it might be best to suggest bold, non-metallic, non-transparent-ish colors.

Can you pop the idea of making your guild emblem your commander tag? It would be awesome to look at your map and know what guild is running where or at least the guild of the commander running. Would make for a great commander alternative using art already in the game.

Repost from:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/hot/Guild-Housing-Remembering-Fallen-Members/

Greetings ArenaNet & Community,
I have a suggestion if it’s not already in the works. I would recommend that there be a way to place statues within a guild hall. Choose from each of the races and perhaps even classes.

As many of you know Gaiscioch suffered the loss of Roger “Oldroar” Rall before the game was even released. ArenaNet was kind enough to name Sanctum of Rall in his honor and place an NPC in game that shares his legend.

What many of you probably are unaware of is that we also have suffered the loss of two more very influential people in our community. Jexia.2406 passed away two weeks ago after fighting throat cancer for the past 2 years and last night we lost Frugster.3265. It would be wonderful if we can place statues within our halls to remember each of these members.

It would go the extra mile if we were able to have a plaque that we could customize to go with each statue. Allow people to enter it in a text field so that they could place messages on certain clickable placeable items.

Gaiscioch plans to build a memorial for these three members once HoT goes live. It would be wonderful if we were able to place statues for each of these members.

I want to take a moment to say to SBI and TC that you all have been great sports even as SOR got saturated with transfer guilds and became a wee bit over powering. I apologize for those in this thread and the one before it and ask that you do not judge our server as a whole on their actions.

There are a lot of chest thumpers who have come to SoR and see fit to try to rub things in others faces. Not all of us are like that. I prefer a good fight over a blowout any day of the week. I know SBI lost a lot of guilds over the past month and it’s sad to see so many turning their back on their home and leaving for other places. Those that have joined SoR from SBI, welcome. I only hope that in the end your loyalties for SoR are not superficial but one of a desire to be part of a community. We may go Tier 1, but as soon as we lose in Tier 1, are you going to stand by us or look for a new home like you’ve done before? I’m certain their are a few who come out of correct intentions and only want a better community to call home, but I have already seen a fair share of winning team seagulls flocking to our shores hoping to ride this train into T1.

Will our fate be the same as SBI, Henge of Denravi, or Eredon Terrace? Only time will tell but the important thing to remember is that if we are to endure, it’s not the skill of players, not the numbers in your zerg, and certainly not the points on the scoreboard that will keep us alive and well. It’s the fellowship within the community that forges the bond that keeps a server together. If that begins to break down and fracture we can expect to find the same fate that has destroyed so many Tier 1 servers before.

I implore all Sanctum of Rall to practice sportsmanship this week. TC and SBI are doing their best to put up a fight and we don’t need all the spitting in peoples faces and insults. I for one enjoyed the past week and hope that this week can bring some of the same result. Tier 2 has been very fun and enjoyable and I know the days ahead will be a lot more brutal. Now is not the time to trakittenalk and beat people down. It’s the time to prepare for the weeks ahead improve your game. Everything you think you know, is about to change the moment we walk into T1. Look at blackgate. They went from beatdown central to being the chump of T1. JQ and SOS are no joke. I’ve fought SoS and they have a very very unique approach. 24/7 coverage isn’t going to be enough. As long as we’re zerging and not dividing our forces into smaller teams we’ll be crushed.

When that gate opens and we walk into the arena you all better come out swingin, and swingin hard. Get your Superior siege, practice small unit tactics, and be ready to have a man sitting on EVERY objective 24/7. Both JQ and SoS have scouts that sit on every single objective and you will have to act fast and be surgical with your assaults. It’s a whole different ball game up in T1. On top of that we will have to be able to survive a loss without tearing each other apart. Fact is in T1 you win, you lose, you endure. We can’t be #1 forever, and we need to be ok with that. We need to learn from our defeats and move forward. In the end the only thing that will keep us there is unity. With getting over 30 new guilds, hundreds of new players, and a new hour or more long queue to go with it, a couple weeks before we go T1, the mix for disaster is there. We best take this week to build unity if we have any hope to survive our first week in Tier 1.

To TC, You guys have my respect and I hope to again fight against you. PINK you guys are a ton of fun and love your enthusiasm. Every time I saw you guys on the field I knew we were gonna have a great battle. If we ascend to T1, I will miss you guys and really hope your not far behind us. It’s been a true pleasure fighting against you and I salute you all.

To SBI, Thanks for putting up with us these past 2 weeks. I know we haven’t been the best sports about the whole thing but I continue to see SBI coming out to try to make a stand against us. I know you’ve lost a lot of your community and for that you have my sympathies. I hope you can rebuild and look forward to seeing the new SBI down the road.

All in all the past couple weeks has been a lot of fun, not because we’re wining, but because both TC and SBI chose to fight rather than PvDoor. No matter how bad someone is behind they continue to fight like it’s the last man standing. Thanks for the great fights and I hope we can squeeze a few more in before we move up.

Good luck in the next couple weeks and thank you TC and SBI for being such good sports in the face of adversity. You have a huge salute from [GSCH] and I look forward to playing you guys in the future.

The Tuatha of SoR Welcomes New Guilds to Join

in Guilds

Posted by: Foghladha.2506

Foghladha.2506

Greetings Guild Leaders and Freelancers,
A little over 5 years ago the Gaiscioch Family started pooling guilds of like minds together for a resources share and community known as the Tuatha (Gaelic for Tribe). Our community is welcoming, focused on having fun and making memories. We do not tell people how to play, when to play, or how long to play. Our community is focused on encouraging involvement in events from dungeon running, to meta event farming, to crafting materials and zone completion runs, wvw activities.

If your guild is small and you’d like to have a playerbase and resources at your disposal the Tuatha can be a godsend. Our marketplace encourages both participation in your events you host and allows members to use credits they earn by participating to buy crafting materials, epic gear, and even promotional items at times.

There are currently 105 Guilds in the Tuatha, 26 in Guild Wars 2. Our numbers grow each week and the coordination and involvement continues to strengthen our community.

Here is a list of the Sanctum of Rall guilds currently involved:

  • Bellum Aeternus
  • Black Soulz
  • Brothers of Grim
  • Caomhnoiri Na Teorann
  • Caora Dhubh
  • Captain Jacks
  • Dexteram Family
  • Dragons of Eternity
  • Fragnarok
  • Gaiscioch
  • Harbingers of Light
  • Heavens Royal Knights
  • joO Binder
  • Knights of Steele
  • North
  • Obsidian Guard
  • Penumbra Effect
  • Pepsi Raiders
  • Rain
  • Ravenkin
  • Shadowed Nobility
  • Signs of the Hunt
  • The Sneaky Stab Club
  • Trees Are For Hugging
  • Vigilance
  • Vitalis Accord

What We Are:

4/12 JQ|SoR|BG

Wouldn’t giving everyone girl scout cookies help to stop the drama? I mean who can hate on girl scout cookies really?

It might actually work! Girl Scout Cookies for everyone!

Call to arms - Sanctum of Rall

in Looking for...

If you’re reading this post.

A: You’re already on Sanctum of Rall and are here to show your support.
Thank You!

B: Were on Sanctum of Rall and for whatever reason you decided to peak out of curiosity.
I can tell you friend, Sanctum of Rall has really bloomed over the past few weeks. This turn of events was the best thing to ever happen to us. Through the ashes came a united forged server who has been sharing memorable moments in both WvW and PvE. We hold no ill will to you, and if you ever decide to return i’m certain you’ll see an all new side to SOR.

C: You’re looking for a new place to kick your feet up and call home.
I can’t and won’t promise you first place or even tier 1. What I can tell you is if you want to remember your time in Guild Wars 2, 5 to 10 years from now, this is the place to be. The fights since we left Tier 1 have been remarkable. I find myself just waiting for the moment I can log in again and play. The community has pulled together nicely and WvW is not about PPT or Win’s and Losses’ it’s about having fun and giving your enemy a hard time. We may not have 24/7 coverage but we have more heart than you’ll find most places. We’ve got people invested in this server who no matter what the outcome still push on and do their best to ensure it’s survival.

Talk to anyone who’s been out and about the past few weeks. The fights have been amazing. when we’re out our enemies run scared, and memories are being made every day. I never heard people share their stories on the battlefield as much as I have the past few weeks. Teamspeak has been filled with stories of overcoming unsurpassable odds, as well as a whole lot of laughter.

If you want to be in Tier 1 and be first place this may not be your best choice. If you want to have fun, well we can provide you with an experience you won’t quickly forget. It’s been a wicked good time out there and I wouldn’t be anywhere but here.

So commander refund...

What about books you still have in your inventory. We were going to be awarding players commander tomes on our server once they completed commander training. We ended up having all the tomes stuck on 1 player account when you ninjaed the last patch in. Is there a method we should use to get the refund for those books that have not been used?

I wanted to be the first (maybe) to welcome SBI to the funnest tier they will play in. The Tarnished Coast folk are good sports and bring a pretty exciting fight to the field, while Sanctum of Rall is the little engine that could. We on Sanctum of Rall chase the fight and bow to no one. Welcome to tier 2 Stormbluff Isle, let’s have some fun!

Guild Slash Commands

in Suggestions

Foghladha.2506

It would be really nice to have these aliases added for / commands. Would simplify guild management quite a bit.

/ginvite <ArenaNet ID>
Invites User to Currently Represented Guild
Example: /ginvite User.1234

/gpromote <ArenaNet ID>
Promotes User 1 Rank
Example: /gpromote User.1234

/gdemote <ArenaNet ID>
Demotes User 1 Rank
Example: /gdemote User.1234

/gmodify <ArenaNet ID> <Rank Name>
Moves User to Rank Name
Example: /gmodify User.1234 Officer

/gkick <ArenaNet ID>
Kicks a User From The Guild
Example: /gkick Troll.6666

/gmotd <Message>
Sets the Guild’s MOTD
Example: /gmotd Slash Commands would make life so much easier!

Allowing us to use slash commands allows us to better implement tools to help guilds run their organization. Right now finding a person to promote in a list of hundreds takes quite a bit of time. Time better spent leading fun activities for people.

With these simple slash commands I could macro my promotions list to my G11 keyboard, invite all the new people, promote those needing promotions, and kick anyone who’s blacklisted all in a matter of minutes. This would save me a ton of time and ensure that my time is spent playing the game instead of managing a roster.

Yes pretty please with sugar on top. If Guild Sizes are an issue in the stability of the game then give us the ability to removed “Dead Accounts” and trim some of the fat.

[Expansion Hope] Guild Alliances

Mistress,
If they don’t have a leader set in the code, it means that they have to build a voting script for add/remove. By having a leader it allows that person to add and remove as needed without having to write extra scripts that require a whole other layer built on them for the voting process. It’s a ease of implementation line item.
