this game is about skins so maybe anet will introduce the old login screen in the gem shop for like 5000 gems so you can buy it
Signed! Loved the music and login screen – left it open for hours at a time, just to listen to it!
This would be awesome.
I would love the old login screen, just a “Press any key to start” message and go to the character select screen would be worth it.
While I like the auto-login on the launcher better than the old system, it would be cool to have the dragon logo animation flash over the screen before character select.
Oh man, I love the old load screen so much! The music is just awesome.
THATS GUILD WARS!
Please, please, please at least make it an option! It was much loved by me and everyone I play with! Honestly, some times I’d just load it up and leave it as a background…
I like the launcher better for it’s news feed and how it updates the game.
The old load screen could be a alliterative skin for the launcher.
True. It was beautiful. Afaik you can’t get it anymore, even using console commands.
Please consider putting this brilliant login screen into! It looks fantastic. Will totally perceived me to come back to GW players. Just an option where we will be able to switch between login screen/log-launcher
+1 – I loved that thing!
I’m not really that kind of guy that wants to skip all the art and such just to come online in less than 3 seconds, so a login screen I have no problems with, especially if they want to update it with patches to make it fit with the current theme and such.
+1 Signed! Please bring back the old login screen! Hear us Anet! Hear us!!!
I miss it, too. It was nifty.
Talking about this one yes.
Well, it’s more about taste I guess. I liked it a lot, it was unique in some way. I have always liked login screens, they have always represented something to me, like original Guild Wars, with Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North.
They could always bring it back, and have the news & announcements on the side.

Has no news or anything on it, that’s why. They’re not going to get rid of their news/ad launcher and go back to this.
Here’s a thought, they could have just added it, instead of creating a whole new launcher.
The new launcher fits the purpose they want better, but I do miss the old login screen, it was so epic, dang.

Come on Anet! show us some love and tell us if this could be reintegrated in the future :P
Isn’t that just an unnecessary step between the launcher and playing?
No, it was just a better looking launcher (to some). Still the same amount of steps.

That was the old launcher.

I loved that login screen. I really want it back, but maybe there were some technical issues and they couldn’t continue to use it.

Please consider bringing this back! It was really amazing, and when i very first logged into the game, all I could think was… Wow. Now I just see news which I have seen a few days earlier on Reddit.
OP is talking about this http://www.guildwars2guru.com/topic/23010-gw2-launcher-screen/ I think.
I think I heard somewhere it goes right to the character select screen because the game is supposed to be about you; the player, so your toons are what you see first.
I might be wrong though.
Hello.
During the betas and such we had the login screen, which I found to be amazing. Sadly they removed it. I’m just wondering if this is something people would like to have back, or not?
Anything ArenaNet want to add to this post? Anything for the future perhaps?
Yes please I love this login screen it was amazing!
I miss the old login screen too. Especially the password indicator was mindblowingly good feature.
