The $10 accounts were the best deal ever offered. By simply selling your login rewards, each $10 account can generate $10 worth of gems in about 2 months. If you ever planned on buying gems, the $10 accounts were a far better deal.
^^ This .. better create the accounts earlier than later so you can start collecting
your daily rewards before ANet decides to change them maybe.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
I turned off whisper a long time ago do to guild rep spam.
You know the RMT’s will be yelling in map chat if they can’t whisper. Whisper is kinda useless anyway. Just shut it off. The RMT’s will never know. Hopefully it will cut down on their use of map chat.
Also as one who comes from hundreds of ftp games and was once their avid supporter – do plz keep reporting these RMT’s. It does discourage them.
BUT NOTHING DISCOURAGES AN RMT MORE THAN MAKING NO MONEY – DON’T BUY ANYTHING FROM RMT’s!
Play right, play safe, play responsibly.
Give them to your friends so that they can have full accounts! The restrictions on F2P are reasonably lax, but they’re still restrictions. I’m sure your friends will appreciate it when they have the time to play.
Also, there is a time limit on when you could get a refund. Pretty sure it’s 30 days. At least with a full account, they would like it more. Or having alt accounts is nice too.

I think if they’re just unsure keys though Anet might be fine refunding them. OP hasn’t used the keys to create accounts yet I think.

Anet still have limits on refunds though. They haven’t sold just the base game in a really long time (seeing as they removed it when they started selling HoT) most likely to remove this issue.
Hello,
With the recent announcements of core game going free-to-play, two keys that I bought during 10€ sale might be pointless. I have initially bought those keys for my friends, but due to real-life activities they were yet unable to play the game (they haven’t even registered accounts).
I would like to ask if there is really no way to refund those 2 purchases as they were never used and core game being free-to-play? Or I should use these as alt accounts or give them to my friends to make their game full?
Thanks in advance!

You bought fully unlocked games. Now your friends could start F2P accounts but when they start to chaff at the F2P restrictions, you can give them a full account.
RIP City of Heroes
Bring it on…. need it now!

Oh wow, thank you for sharing your photo, Gereden! I’m happy you liked all of your signatures, even if it was difficult being the first one to put ink marks on your beautiful book.
Hey there,
Here are a few tidbits from the team:
- A lot of newer players had trouble with the interface. That doesn’t apply to you, you’re veterans who have been around the conversion block a time or two. But newer players will benefit from the updated system.
- The goal was to make the Gem Store more like other shopping experiences, and if you think about it, there is more of that feel to it now.
- You may be surprised to know this (I know I was) but very few people bought gems at smaller denominations than the first one offered in the new system. That’s not to say they never did, nor that there wouldn’t be the desire to do so. But overall, the current options were selected based on player purchases in the past.
- The team is going to listen to your feedback and, if and when it’s practical and desirable, they can look towards adjusting the new system to better meet your needs.
So please keep your thoughts coming on the new system. Feel free to make suggestions but please, keeping them constructive would be very much appreciated.
Always fault of the new players, right?
Always an unintended change, right?
Always working as intended, right?
Always a bug, right?
Sigh…

Thanks for the feedback, folks. I appreciate your comments and will say that consistent, complex, nuanced characters and storytelling are absolutely my goal as well. I’m soaking up all the existing story that I can, via gameplay, wikis, our novels, and lots and lots of conversations with my coworkers who have great insights (and opinions) on our expansive lore. I really love the game and am excited to be a part of it moving forward. Keep the comments coming!

I only ask: Don’t do a one path raid. Let multiple parties run different parts of the dungeon to make it more interesting :s
3 from 4 weeks playing SFR.. Same matchup as week 1..
Unique meaning – “being the only one of its kind; unlike anything else.”
Well I guess we can all congratulate SFR now for winning the coverage wars tournament…
After defeating the Triple Trouble event, many of us did not receive our Golden Chests.
Ide like to propose anet does a survey because it seems the player base and developers are on different pages atm
Hi All,
I made a collection of all wallpapers, loading screens, concepts and some screenshots from the entire first season including all events.
Decided to have it printed and bound
60 pages, w28cm/h21cm
There are flutes in the soundtrack.
Tengu confirmed.
What could possibly take down a giant ship, you ask?

Sigh….
“Wanna see new pics? Head to tumblr!”
“Want some different news or sales? Head to facebook!”
“Wanna see our new vids? Go to youtube!”
“Don’t forget to Like, subscribe, fav, retweet, hashtag…SOCIAL MEDIAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!”You have a webpage…you can post everything in one spot to help your players. Please, don’t make me jump around everywhere on the internet (Or i’ll just go to dulfy since it’ll be done for me there >:P)
Agreed.
I think it’s pathetic that businesses buy into the new trends to be “cool”, whilst they are actually failing to reach their audience by spreading information across different websites (requiring different log ins/account information).
If they posted ALL information in ALL of these mediums, it wouldn’t be a problem, but when you’re asking people to visit 6 websites for 6 different posts you’re doing it wrong.

I have a Facebook account. I don’t “like” your Guild Wars 2 page. I will never “like” your Guild Wars 2 page, because that isn’t what I use Facebook for. I use it to talk to friends, not for businesses to spam junk at me.
I have a YouTube account. I am not subscribed to your Guild Wars 2 channel. I will never be subscribed to your Guild Wars 2 channel. The only businesses I am subscribed to are record labels for metal bands. I will never be subscribed to other businesses.
I don’t have a twitter account. I will never have a twitter account. I’m certainly not going to make a twitter account just for GW2 posts.
I don’t have a tumbler account. I will never have a tumbler account. I’m certainly not going to make a tumbler account just for GW2 posts.
If you want to reach YOUR target audience, then make sure there are posts on YOUR WEBSITE.
PvP modes are the “endgame” in every MMO.
Stop failing at PvE, start fixing PvP/WvW. Thank you.

Dear ArenaNet,
Please build a bounty thing where the “Destiny’s Edge” mentor for each playable race gives out a daily bounty. For example, human toons would go visit Logan in DR to get a bounty where he sends them out to kill something different each day. Maybe one day it’s a bunch of bandits, maybe another day it’s a bunch of centaurs.
I feel this would help our home city retain some relevance and would make the world seem a bit more living.
Love,

Hehe, i was taking a shot of my charr ranger when i noticed my mini Rytlock was kinda hugging my pet raven. I thought that was cute and wanted to share it with you.
Hope you can see the image ok, i had to brighten it quite a bit as they were in a dark spot.
i dont cry for attention, i didnt even know people knew me. LOL u think making a complaint is asking for attention? well arent u easily subdued.
I am sorry to say, but making non-constructive “feedback” (complaints) on forums hardly helps you.
Depends on how you define help. Clearly he seems to be getting off on everyone talking to and about him so yeah…
I was playing chess with a friend and it suddenly occured to me that in all the years I’ve been playing chess, there hasn’t been one single major upgrade in it. The pieces all move the same. There’s no real vertical progression, and it’s extremely repetitive. The more games you play, the more you realize how repetitive it is. Last I saw, people still play chess.
SPvP isn’t about changing things all the time (and some things have changed. There have been many changes to the meta), it’s about getting as good as you can on your chosen profession(s).

Hey Season 2 Writers, if you can hear us, we demand more Lord Faren~!
Love,
The Cult of Lord Faren
PS. I’m rich, you know.
The current cast is light years better and shows some real progress in story telling. I hope to see some really memorable work coming from the future. This is an area where the Anet team really seems to have listened to the players and made some meaningful work.
Thank you. This is very kind of you to say, and it makes me very happy.
We’ve worked hard to make the PC’s best friends interesting and not cookie-cutter buddies. They’re the PC’s supporting cast, and as such, all their stories affect and reflect the PC’s story—your story.
Btw, I’m glad I’m not always the hero. There are millions of characters in the gw2 universe, it would seem rather crappy that they would all be the awesome hero who saved the universe from doom. I like being among the ranks: a commander in the pact, a faceless wanderer who joins up with some others and become the heroes of LA… It’s just a personal taste, I like being a not-so-extrordinary character who the steps up to the plate when he’s needed to.
This is a very interesting opinion since so many seem to feel the other way. We make every effort to put the player character at the center of the story because…well…it’s your story. But, I also believe that the player character doesn’t always have to be the one with the answers. Sometimes, your teammates (Rox, Braham, etc.) need to help out or risk becoming faceless flunkies. There’s a balance point, of course. Your teammates are an extension of you, living through your story with you.
