I want Trahearne as a pet. His f2 should be “Commander, a word?” and the other player is disappeared into an annoying quest.
Jokes aside I want better AI, pets that can hit enemy even if they move.
I voted….. nothing……
Seriously Anet !!!This is since HoT that we asked you to bring back Alpina because nobody want the dbl and now you will bring back those desert dbl………………
Do not count to me to play on those empty maps…
And thanks Anet to bring back a long long long queue on EBG map………………
If nobody wanted DBL, people wouldn’t be voting to have any DBL maps. Since a majority have opted for at least one DBL map, you’re confusing “nobody” with “most people.”
The people who are OCD in love with alpine are a very vocal minority.
EBG is queued every night in T3. The borderlands? Maybe one of them on reset night.
Actually kind of glad the option for using all of the old alpine BLs permanently isn’t in the poll.
There is an existing minority who do prefer the desert map. There would still be two ABLs + EB for those who refuse to fight on it. For those who’d rather kill off all variety just because they don’t like it, I have three words:
Go kitten yourselves.
To be fair there were a lot of other factors that turned people away from wvw aside from the dbl, guild hall/upgrade grind for example, grinding pve for elite specs and other stuff, unbalanced gimmicks like banners, fog, airship etc.
Yes, so easiest way to know for sure is a poll :
Keep DBL or scrap DBL?
Wouldn’t that be easy if this were actually about what players wanted?
So I am assuming, by your above statement, and the many others that you have flailed about on these forums, that you, and you alone know what the players actually want?
Just going from the seemingly overwhelming confidence from your posts that YOU have your hand on the heartbeat of the playerbase.
In reality, I seriously doubt if any regular poster on these boards has even a slight clue as to what the majority of the playerbase finds to be fun in this game. It certainly varies with me and my wife, as well as a lot of my fellow guildies.
Anyways, this discussion is truly pointless. People’s opinions are very, very subjective….including (GASP!) yours.
Mmo players with a screw loose vs mmo players with two screws loose. All very important stuff.

Lil devils x, you take yourself, and this game, way, way too seriously.
And that is just my opinion, just like anyone else’s post in this forum, including yours.
Mmo players with a screw loose vs mmo players with two screws loose. All very important stuff.

This thread makes me giggle. “I have the only valid opinion because I do things my way and my way is best, everyone else can kitten on a biscuit.”
@Endless Soul It’s not a troll thread…
Ok, so it’s a “I’m mad that other people are making money/mats/other stuff so I want to put an end to it” thread then?

This community is lol, first you cry not enough rewards, when we get nice things you cry we got too many nice things, make up your kitten mind..

“I don’t like it, therefore it is unfair and needs to be changed”
To the OP:
It’s called over rotating and this is why it is happening so often in ranked lately:
- New player begins play in spvp. He gets yelled at by teammates for “not rotating”
- New player then starts rotating randomly while not knowing what he is doing because he’d rather not be yelled at for not rotating.
- New player sort of reaches intermediate level play but still doesn’t understand rotations. Now rotating randomly has become a habit such to the point that most random rotating players believe they know how the rotate and stop asking questions to learn from older players, if they ever asked questions at all.
- When other players approach the intermediate player about poor decisions in rotation, he has two choices: Listen and learn something or Ignore the advice and continue believing he already knows how to rotate. 9/10 of these intermediate players just ignore the advice and continue on with their trial & error style rotation habits because they are defensive from toxic criticism and would rather not hear it.
The best thing to do, is make sure criticism is constructive and positive, not negative and angry. If it’s positive, sometimes players actually listen and learn something.
Seed of Life
Completely unnecessary nerf;
Takes forever to cleanse
Super small radius
Light field is so short it’s almost inexistant
In kitten-condi meta, I don’t see the logic behind removing/reducing the very few condi-cleansing options from ranger/druid. They already struggle quite a bit, and they have to TRAIT HEAVILY to have SOME form of condition management.
Lunar Impact
Wouldn’t call it a direct nerf, closer to ‘proper balance’ BUT why diminish 2 effects? Both the daze duration (I mean come’on, Moment of Clarity was nerfed months ago) AND the cooldown?
Could you maybe at least up the healing value to compensate?
Pet Nerfs
The nerfs are a bit too harsh, but the real problem is no the HoT pet. Its all the core pets. They absolutely underperform. The main reason people pretty much only play with SS and BB is because they’re the only pet that can hit reliably.
Don’t nerf HoT pets. Fix core pets. Like, really.
Also please, tweak the core ranger traits apropriately. Some of them are barely ever used, same for ranger skills (looking at you Sharpening Stone, Glyph of Unity, SPIRITS…)
I dont think you should even say that you are ok with them nerfing druid clarity, because then it sounds like youre fine with that. Dont expect them to reverse the seed of life change, but they will nerf DC if it seems like even the ranger community themselves thinks its ok to nerf it!

I can understand this position, tournaments were a double edged sword. It broke and destroyed servers, and but also boosted and solidified others. I was on SoR for all three tournaments and we had a massive player exodus after each one. The burnout was real, I personally got so burned out after the first season I barely stepped into wvw for months. Then there was also the constant friction between the hardcore wvw players and more casual players that were just going in to farm achievements, this turned off a lot of people who might have become more interested in wvw and more active in wvw. It also caused a lot of frustration for guilds because of the long queues that this caused resulting in a breakdown in coordination.
Perhaps there can be some middle ground here? Maybe a lighter version of a tournament. Something like rotating rewards for servers that win the matchup each week? And instead of a set of achievements to grind out a bunch of times, there could be a simple progress bar that advances everytime wxp is earned. This way everyone can be rewarded including scouts, roamers, small op teams etc.
Honesty is not insulting, stupidity is.

I think OP is in the situation I’m in….
I spent so long in PvP and roaming T1 before merger that I forgot how to fight people on my own. killing NPC’s at camps while avoiding massive blobs produced barely any fights which in turn decayed my skill levels… I transferred to Mag for the fights and to improve my skills but turns out I’m still a pro at dying and running away…… For now
….. And Elementalist.
Change the wvw icon at the top of the screen when your team has an outnumbered matchup so people know to get in there! Finally, make a reward at the end of the week for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd that gets scaled by your participation over the week so that people want to win!
Wow, these 2 changes could really really help WvW massively. I like them very much! Those with some tweakings to WvW scoring could save this game mode (that I like very much) from its current state!
Can confirm.
NEITHER
Signet of the Wild or Rune of the Dolyak triggers the minor Druid trait Live Vigorously. This is correct ^^.
My bad y’all.
Just curious, if Rune of Durability was still available in PvP; do you think it would be a better choice over Dolyak?
2 Different sets and 2 Different pros:
If you take traited shouts naturally durability will be better because of the boon duration.
It is also good when you have fortifying bond traited so more boons for your pets via the number 4 proc, and ultimately giving you 40% boon duration. Another important thing is that you get the resistance which rangers do not naturally have. Resistance will be around 1.5 seconds with NM.
Dolyak Imo is better building builds lacking Astral force generators like SotW or Traited shouts. Since you free up a utility slot. Also Dolyak is not like regen that can be stripped or corrupted.
Dolyak + Staff is more than enough to generate AF, now you have so much flexibility in the traits and utility slots
Well the big thing in WvW that I’m noticing is that you aren’t really short on Astral Force ever (this is my most offensive build: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vNAQJAWRnUqA1CiVsCOsActglOB7pFEqWYwr0Y6N1pvFAKclMtzA-TVyGABkfBAmU9HDOEARqLAgHAwdKBLf/hCOCALp8DA-w ), but the Durability Runes can provide you nearly permanent Protection between procs of Protective Ward, the runes, and Protect Me.
At least, I think that’s their selling point, but I can’t tell if the benefit is too marginal compared to the guarantee-able and constant Dolyak benefits.
Your build looks great, but I mean this is just me but, you have clerics gear and have perma prot too, yes that would make you super tanky but I would just get a different gear since the perma prot will still cover your defences.
Also why healing power gear?
I run exclusively with my guild group, and while I have the full damage gear and play a pretty decent gank character, in the grand scheme of things, my single target damage is much less important than doing something like keeping the frontline/backline up, so the healing power lets me drop multiple big heals on multiple people, and with just one or two other druids, it lets our group run more offensive oriented gear.
At least, that’s the theory/logic to it. I also don’t have any problem oneshotting people with a GS/pet combo, just like in PvP, so I don’t miss out on much.
Actually, if you look at the gear values, you’ll see I’ve essentially recreated the Mender’s Amulet from PvP, but with toughness over vitality.

I’m hoping for the mighty, ominous, and super powerful BUBBLES and it’s hoard of bubbly quaggan coming to coo and foo our ears to death.
On Gandara EB has always had queues. It’s no different now. EotM means that nobody is forced to play DBl till q pops. So many people post on this forum and just make kitten up to suit their arguement.
you are not speaking for me OP.
There are some issues with DBL still but they are ok. and with the patch actually much improved.
I found them fun to play since I got to know them.
I am speaking about the map per se.
You really think you get Alpine back with the old mechanics?
You wont! (And I am very glad)
I played Alpine for years before Desert, you really think it was different then?
That they were smaller? You legged it same as Desert now.
wierd siegespots.
you could fall to your death if you didn’t know your way.
horrible upgrade mechanics that cost players a fortune.
everybody was qqing they wanted another BL map…
I find the changes to borderlands massive. Opened up some cliffs/walls for easier travel. RIddance of the G-Dammed barricades – WP under t3 upgrades so whoever owns the place gets the use of it.
Alpine was a cool map but also had its flaws like this DBL
At least give it a shot now – It is not that bad as many people here on forum will tell ya.

can anyone answer me if from now on , we have to wait 1 or 2 hours just to get in wvw
will Anyone be a happy camper ?
I really wanna see how many ppl said yes to this question
First. Reset night was the single craziest reset in at least 2 years. Even without the server link, the majority of servers would likely have queue’d anyways. So using this one day as your measurement is beyond absurd.
Just about everyone sat hours in queue’s, not just you, on all servers. So please just stop making it sound like you’re martyred for it. No one likes sitting in queue’s.
And regarding if you have to sit in queue every day forward ? We will just have to see, there is no other answer to it. Because no one can know how many people will try to log in at any single day. How quickly people get tired, how many won’t have time to play during week-days etc. And no one knows how many will log back in again at next reset.
We can Guess, Estimate, or Predict. But not answer.
And I do think every single person on this forum realize you hate this, you’ve been very verbal about it, multiple times.
You will just have to log in every day and check the Queue’s, and see if they are too much or acceptable for you on a day by day basis. If it isn’t acceptable, I’d recommend not playing for a few weeks, and wait the Beta out. Beta’s are supposed to be run over a certain time to gather information on how it works, removing it before it’s time would waste that entirely.
“Understanding is a three edged sword: your side, their side, and the truth.”
“The objective is to win. The goal is to have fun.”
Screw balance , were in last place & I could care less. Epic fight at all hours of the day trumps winning. For once we aren’t losing or winning because of a massive population imbalance. Need better organization and trained pugs but that’s not anets fault. If u were in first place in your tier and now your last start workin harder to get your " new server" back in shape. No team is locked in place and everyone has a chance.
Thanks for the positive words. And thanks, too, for the ideas about areas in which we can make future improvements. Nothing is 100% perfect, for everyone, all the time. But we’re working on it, and feedback in this forum plays a significant role in the direction we take.
So thanks to all of you, and keep the ideas coming in this and the other threads in this sub-forum. While we don’t post here often, you can be sure the feedback you share is noted!
While we appreciate your response, Rangers need your love. Things like SnR were literally destroyed in the latest patch. With a 600 range and stomps with a range of 400, nearly every stomp in competitive pvp continues to finish a downed ally. Such a short range barely is able to get your allies out of cleave and massive elementalist aoes.
Thanks.
900 range 70seconds (traited 54seconds)
Yeah, a range indicator would be nice..
Cut out a square of sticky tape, stick it over the skill icon and write “NOPE” on it. There you go, S&R range indicator. \o/
Save the Bell Choir activity!
the problem there is that you are not rescuing anyone there. the same attacks are hitting you will hit the downed.
They should have renamed it to just “Search!”
