You got almost 1500 hours of play out of GW2. I think you got your money’s worth of content.
legendary is only a pretty skin, if u dont like it dont do it
If the game has entertained you for over 1000 hours i’d say it’s quite logical that you’ve run out of content (i dont count legendary grind as content). After that amount of time spent, the only thing that can keep a game interesting is a competitive aspect, or (for some people that like it) a grind for some reward.
Competitive aspects in this game are pretty limited to the PvP side of things though. If you’re a PvE person there’s not much to pick from yet.
You can try to get high fractal level but that’s a grind cause you can’t choose to skip the levels that are below your capabilities. After the fractal fix happens, you could find someone at a fractal level that challenges you and directly play at that level as long as he’s in your party. That would enable you to skip the grindy part and just play challenging content with the goal of getting top fractal rank.
Other than that, GW1 had timed dungeons with leaderboards so that might make a return in GW2 in the future.
Bottomline though, if you’ve achieved all your PvE goals and have no interest in PvP it’s probably time to move on to another game until there’s new content to interest you.

ahem, excuse me a moment…
Well.. for the females, I think the hottest is Riel Darkwater (and I’m her sister!)
But for the rest, Rytlock is so kitten and man inside that no one can barely stand against him!
The girl that’s in Black and Red and works for the Whispers.
Hawt.
“Too much stuff here is optional”
Yes.
The game gives you the option of talking to people, not when you are forced to, but rather when you want to.
If you are playing the game by yourself, without never trying to interact with people simply because the game is not forcing you to… Why are you playing a MMO, again?

Ok, at this point I’m shaking my head wondering if you recent posters are even reading what I’m writing. Perhaps the fact the ridiculous posts were removed doesn’t make it clear. Let me try again:
“Please just give everyone a chest, even if they haven’t logged in since August.”
No. That would be wrong.
“Please give me 3 chests because I read on the Internetz that someone got 3 and I will think you don’t love me if you don’t give me the same number.”
No. That also would be wrong.
Some people were accidentally sent a second chest. That does not impact you and that should not cause you distress. If you earned a chest and you get a chest, that’s good. Otherwise, what do you suggest: We give every 10 chests? But what about the guy who already had one? He has 11! Oh wait, we need to give everyone 1 more chest. But that gal over there had one from looting and one from mail, so now we need to give…
Do you see? It’s not doable! It’s not reasonable! It’s not a good expenditure of dev resources to look at 2 million accounts and try to “balance” this.
The answer is: If you earned a chest, you should be given one. And that is what the team is trying to do for you, even as I write. Please be patient and please, please be reasonable.
Lastly, we’ve looked into the “I didn’t attend the event” people, as we’ve been able, and maybe they forgot the attended, maybe they don’t know the parameters, but we haven’t found the proverbial “My computer wasn’t turned on the entire event, my account was not accessed, and I still got a chest.” At this point, again, this does not impact you and your account and if, somewhere and for reasons we cannot ascertain, someone gets a chest without attendance at the event, then, well, I suggest you just let it go.

I really wish they had made Trahearne more of an asset against Zhaitan and not the leader of the pact. It seems it would make more sense for us to go to him to figure out Zhaitan’s weaknesses than to just put him as the entire leader of the Pact. It’s too late now, but it would have solved all of the complaints about his voice-acting and character flaws. I mean, who wouldn’t want Tybalt or Forgal as the leader of the pact?! To paraphrase Kefka of FF6. "I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE YOUR CURRENT ROLE TRAHEARNE!!!
“And also… I can kill you with my brain.”

Gw2 forum logic : Why do you take away our grind! This game is such a grindfest.
It was getting pretty abused. We had some solid metrics on it, and decided to kill the loot from one of the bosses in an attempt to slow it down.
It was indeed a hotfix.
Well, i got almost all professions level 400 whitout grind, just playing the game and getting items on my way in the game. I don“t need every skin that the game put in store to sell, and there is always visa to buy them if needed.
And I will not stop playing tomorrow so eventually I will get my legendary shinie.
You are just thinking like all those addicted to grinding games where you have to get the most powerful things as fast as you can because in 2 months they will put more powerful things in game.
Stop grinding and enjoy the game.
Traherne would make perfect fire wood for Tybalt’s Return celebration
Him and Magister Sieran were both interesting. I would like an interesting story hearing they survived.
A simple answer as to why the Gold/Gem exchange rate is at where it is now, is because buying gold from RMT is still about 1/3 the price of buying gold via gems.
Therefore, it is still much cheaper to purchase gold via rmt to convert to gems. Infact, if you do the math you can probably get the same amount of gems at half price for purchasing it through RMT gold.
For anyone actually actually interested in purchasing gems, their best deal would be to purchase gold through RMT and then use the gold to buy gems in game.
For those willing to purchase gold, again, their best deal would be to purchase through RMT.
Therefore in this situation no one is buying gems with real money to sell for gold. The only gold/Gem transactions occurring are gold purchases of gems, thus driving the price up.

Hi. I’d like to have a discussion in regards to the issue of red circles, the ones made on the ground by enemies right before an AoE hits, and the issues that I, and surely others, have due to being color blind.
If I recall correctly, I’m red/green color blind. I haven’t done a ton of dungeons, though usually when I do them, I played ranged. As a ranged player, I often have less enemy’s closely surrounding me, which allowed me to more easily see/notice the red circles on the ground. When I play melee anything, it often becomes quite a bit more difficult for me to see/notice the red circles.
Also note that it’s slightly easier for me to see the red circles on the ground if the ground is light, and it is very difficult for me to see the red circles on the ground if the ground is dark.
I consider myself a good player overall. I am quite competent when it comes to any kind of combat in GW2. I’ve done well in general PvE of course, as well as SPvP and some dungeons. Often the harder it is for me to see the red circles on the ground (and the more necessary it is to see them, i.e. with certain bosses), the worse I do.
I opened this thread for two reasons. To see if any other color blind gamers out there are ever having similar issues, and to discuss what possible solutions we can apply to this problem.
My goal here isn’t to make it easier for everyone to see the red circles as to lower the necessary skill level, my goal is to allow color blind gamers such as myself to be on par with non-color blind gamers.
Offering alternative colors could be a solution, or perhaps just a gray color. Making the circles brighter would probably help as well.
Make sure to press the +1 button on the right of this post if you agree. If you can’t see the upvote button, you can just go to https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Color-blind-gamer-Issues-seeing-red-circles/768500/upvote to +1 it. Thanks!

EDIT: Some folks have rightly pointed out that with this idea as presented, everyone would be redirected to an Underflow server and the home zone would never have time to populate. This is a legitimate concern; a possible fix might be checking periodically on the Underflow for players’ home servers and offering to send them all back at once. There are a number of other ways to handle it, I’ve included some at the bottom—post your ideas!
As the game launch is settling down and more and more characters are hitting level 80, the low-level zones are becoming sparser and sparser. The level 1 tutorial zones in particular are almost always empty when running a new character, which subtracts a little from their oomph for a new player.
I imagine that the overflow shards for these zones are underused right now, so here is my proposed solution to utilize them—whenever a player enters a specific zone, the game does a check for the number of players in that zone. If it is below a certain threshhold, a popup appears offering to send the player to a cross-server Underflow shard (really just an Overflow shard), where other players seeing low populations should land. The popup would work the same way as exiting an Overflow (Offer options for Travel, Leave Queue, and Reenter Queue).
While in the Underflow shard, the game periodically checks the home server to see if the population is above the threshhold. If it is, the player gets another prompt asking if they want to rejoin the home server, as usual.
I think this would largely solve the issue of barren low-level areas, especially since most overflow shard party jumping bugs have been fixed. One issue I can envision is where influence cannot be gained for your home server while on an Overflow shard, but this could either be treated as the payment for not playing on your home server, or addressed in a future patch.
Another problem could be that this would be confusing for newer players, so the popup text would have to be very specific explaining exactly what will happen if the player chooses to travel.
Issue Suggestions
Some astute players have noted a fundamental flaw with this idea—if everyone opts to go to the Underflow server, there is no way for the home server to build players. There’re a couple ways to fix this:
1) As mentioned above, intermittently perform a check for the # of players on the Underflow from each home server. If the # is above a certain threshhold, simultaneously offer all players to return to the Home Server.
2) Alternatively, track server/zone population rates with every WvW reset. For that week, zones noted to be “underpopulated” always direct to an “Underflow” shard for that zone. In this version, there is no notification to the player that they are on a shared shard, and they would remain on that shard anytime they visit the zone for that week (unless of course the Underflow actually overflows!). Recalculate the “underpopulated” zones with each WvW reset, for each Server + Zone.
3) Outside of Hub Cities, do away with the concept of server-exclusive zones entirely. Because the Trading Post is cross-realm, the only real meaning of separate servers right now is WvW allegiance. Keeping WvW allegiance consistent (and having consistent hub towns) is still valuable, but other than that, treat ALL other zones like Overflow shards. When players from any server enter a zone, they first attempt to enter Shard #1 for that zone. If Shard #1 is full, they go to Shard #2, and so on. This seems like it would save a lot on wasted server space as unpopular zones cross-realm (like the tutorial area and mid-level zones) might only need 2-3 dedicated servers running at all times. The added benefit would be that you would almost never play in a zone without any other players. Unlike other MMOs the design of GW2 and the dynamic event system really requires many players in each zone, for the experience to be fun. If a future content patch adds zones that are more fruitful for 80+ players than Orr, Orr will be totally useless if it is completely empty on a given world.

So everyone using a keyboard which is able to use scripts by design is getting his account banned? Or use a mouse like the g700.
Don’t think so.
