Title says it all. Replace glory rank with leaderboard rank on scoreboard in Tpvp.
Id much rather see the leader board ranking of everyone after a Tournament match.
Why?

Pro’s
-Glory rank means nothing in Tpvp
-Its a better judge of how good one is compared to glory
-Glory rank is only cool in hotjoin
-Everyone will stop thinking ranks 60s vs 20s mean anything
-It makes more sense
-Will promote more Pvp competition
-It would create much more rage!

Con’s
-It’ll show imbalance. Much higher LB rank vs low
-It would create more rage due to above^

Edge has it on the spot. None of us play together…really ever. Your pictures show nothing.

You make me laugh. We’re hardcore PvPers..meaning we play for more than 30 minutes a day.

Let’s start off with the assumption that your being completely honest.

Even so, the solo q still has a big design flaw – people shouldn’t be put into teams in the order in which they q’d. It leads to people purposefully And accidentally absuing the system. It leads to silly psuedo-teams.

Anet, just take 10 ready players, and randomly assign them to their teams.

Lets also note that out of 466 players, you are the only one with 0 losses. While that doesn’t definitively prove anything, it’s certainly raises eyebrows.

Totally agree, I think people are expecting something perfect. Let’s just remind ourselves, the whole point of this is to be able to queue alone without facing premades. That doesn’t mean you will get queued with 4 pros and roflstomp every match. You get what you get, and you do your best to help your team win. Don’t expect it to be more than that, and I think you will enjoy SoloQ as much as I am

I’m not expecting anything perfect at all. But synch queuing A-net has to come up with some kind of elegant solution for or it just ruins the whole thing. Its ludicrous to say well just deal with it if you get a synched team. People with quit this game if they dont fix it. Solo q is fine when it works the way it’s suppossed to and produces random match ups based on rating. Is that too much to ask? Thats what we were promised.

Actually you need to think about what you’re saying.
“Stopping 2-3 friends from being on the same side” is exactly what has to be done in a solo ladder… which does not mean that they’re not able to play with each other. Ever heard of Team Arena?

The way Sync Arena works is:
- It waits for 5 players to sign up and puts them in roster (team). Then it waits for another 5 players and puts them in different roster. And then another 5, etc.

That way all you have to do is enter with the same time with your friend, and most of the time you’ll end up in the same team.

When MMR settles in and there is the rating difference, this problem will not be fixed. There will just be longer waiting time, because it will take time to find matching set of 5 players who entered.

The way it should work is (but it doesn’t):
- It waits for X number of players to enter, based on time of the day or whatever. Let’s say it waits for 20 players to enter. And then it should start creating rosters and matching players up out of that larger pool rather than instantly.

I hope this is a bug and will get fixed.

Won some, lost some. Love the map rotations. Love the random aspect. Had great experiences overall with it. Fantastic matches. I think the people who dislike it had unrealistic expectations. People will dc. You will face stacked teams. You will lose.

It’s everything I expected. Extremely fun. Sometimes challenging. Couldn’t thank the devs more. Lets see who the solo q heroes will be!

If you dont like SoloQ you can always get a team and queue as team!

It’s exactly the same as solo queuing for tPvP before, except now you’ll never face a premade. What did people expect?

It just came out. it will take time for everything to settle in. I played a few and loved it. Got matched with comparably ranked played in 2/3 games. Yes, it was frustrating when my one noob team was zerging while I’m busting my hump trying to out backcap… but really, this is exactly what the community has been asking for. It may not be 100% perfect, but let us try it before you come spreading doom and gloom.

I just want to login, and be able to jump into a competitive pvp match with no BS.

I played a few solo tourneys this AM, and oh my god… I looooved getting right in to a fairly evenly matched game with teammates who really do want to win, but without having to deal with TS and worrying about getting the perfect class comp together. Totally what I wanted.

I like not knowing my exact team makeup, the uncertainty makes it dynamic and interesting. I like having to spec more all around than for one niche, and I think there will now be a solo queue and a group queue meta, that may not always be totally in synch with each other.

So…. Please ANet, don’t make it too easy to cheese the solo queue. It’s literally all that has some of us pvpers still logging in.

Just had a 3on5 solo Q. Seriously please introduce a penalty for leavers. Its got to get better.

I like it because every one on this thread assumes there is a pool of players to choose from to get an average rating. My guess is the system is what it is because of the lack of pvp player base, hence it uses what it has.
