Colin left the company, that is how much HoT was a 100% product.

Thanks for all the comments. I know there’s nothing I’m going to say that will make you feel better, but I’ll share some final thoughts for the night.
I said three weeks ago I’d focus on sustainability and quality. I want to reiterate the part about sustainability. Be angry about legendary weapons, sure, but how about the recent drought of content? That kind of thing happens when we spread ourselves too thin, and when we let the content development pipeline empty out so we can fight fires. What I think we actually owe you is sustainable, predictable, high-quality content. I’m making a decision that’s painful in the short-term so we can position ourselves to deliver that.
Consider this… HoT currently has: 3 new maps (which are still buggy looking at DS) which are grindy as hell, Elite Specs which are heavy powercreep (pay to win in PvP…), a Story which is short but at least good (if you ignore the myriad of bugs f.e. in the Mordi battle), Guild halls, 2 Raids with 5 1/2 bosses, a new PvP map (which is quite unbalanced) and now only 4 legy weaps (3/4 being rarely used thanks to being underpowered or buggy)… That’s it?
I previously addressed the “half an expansion” thing, and I can point you to pages like this one and this one (https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Guild_Wars_2:_Heart_of_Thorns), but that doesn’t matter because it’s just arguing. My job is to entertain you, not to argue with you.
I strongly believe that we will in fact entertain you. We’re a team of people who love the game that you love, and are working on things we’re confident you’ll love. But I’m not here to convince you of that, and I wouldn’t expect you to take my word for it. You can make that judgment in April, and each subsequent time we ship. I will work to make you happy, and I’ll do it by making you happy with what we ship, not with what we promise to ship.

Then how about instead of having 70 people assigned to developing your second expansion, you assign them to finishing your current half finished expansion?
This is ridiculous, I’m never buying anything made by ArenaNet ever again, if I could get a refund for HoT, I would.
They removed my post with the website link of the laws about this matter.
You actually can demand a refund – or sue them. The law literally says that with what they just did, they made HoT, simply put, a fraid.

Curious what kind of comps ppl are running for 15 mans. I’m T2 if it matters.
Thx
15 mans are long gone everywhere except for Mag where they are the preferred group size for ‘solo roaming’.
Until I see real meaningful changes, this is just Anet pandering to players because a massive new triple A MMO just launched.
That’s exactly the reason they’ve suddenly all showed up to “communicate.” They’ve done precisely the same thing every single time a competitor launches. And every single time: three weeks later, they completely vanish back into thin air.
But this time it’s for real, right?
Just ignore this noob. Complaining all around map chat about necros, but he doesnt run any condi cleanse. Lol. Thats about the same as going outside right now without any clothes on, and complaining that you’re getting cold.
Chill always has been one of the main problems for Ele’s. Finally we got rid of that boring diamond skin, deal with it. Just don’t expect to defeat a necro without condi cleanses.
Can’t believe you’re working on adding gliding to dead PvE zones when WvW is in such a critical state.
Looks like you only have 1 thing in mind: Making Free-to-Play players buy HoT.
I find myself playing less and less everyday. WvW is losing its mojo. Also not looking forward to new BLs. That might be the last straw.
Same here, sadly. I’m spending more of my time in PvP lately.
shhh dont say that they’ll think their esportsesportsesports plan is working :P
Someone accused me of being a MLG in a pvp match yesterday when I was calling out the times for Stillness and Tranq. I said I didn’t know what MLG was, is that some sort of pejorative? “Major League Gamer” he says.
So I doubt there’s any chance of that happening .
lol google translate – first line reads “The latest burst of urine!”
That’s the most accurate description of this update that I’ve heard so far.

See you next april.
and thats it hope u enjoyed
hey Anet, here i bring u some sik plays from my POV thief))))))))DD)
I find it interesting that the OP asks who are the best WvW guilds in EU and everyone answers with who they think are the best GvG guilds.
So, in answer to the OP’s specific WvW query, I’d like to put forward:
Badger Spirits [BS] – NA/International on Desolation .. these guys take tactical WvW to the next level.
Right, I forget about PPT heroes. I guess we have to make another list at who’s the best at nightcapping, golem rushing, arrowcart building, and all around siege wars, to determine who is the best “WvW” guild. Unless I’m very much mistaken PPT is a pointless mechanic in which very few people still play purely for that reason, which is, I assume, why people mention the best fighting guilds.
It is not what you do, but how and why you do it that counts.
Hire a dev team for WvW.
PvP modes are the “endgame” in all MMOs.
Stop failing at PvE, and fix WvW/SPvP. Thank you.
How about this:
-Every kill awards a certain number of points. If that server has minor bloodlust every kill awards 1 point, major awards 2 points, and superior awards 3 points.
-Stomps award twice as many points (2,4,6 for each type of bloodlust)
-Remaining PPT system remains unchanged
I think this would give WvW an entirely new style of play. Top servers would need to have ALL of their players on board to be successful. I also think this would help to reduce blobbing as guild groups would have the ability to significantly influence the PPT while still doing their open field fighting. This would also help roamers as it would give them an important objective (bloodlust ruins).
