Well, before too long we won’t have totally random matchups any more, with the league system, if you’re a low ranked server, you have to fight a server way above you at least once, no matter what! There, they fixed it.
you’ll have to do it yourself.
Which is currently near impossible, because the API data is not reflecting what is actually happening in game.
The API is still not returning when a BL point is neutralized/decayed back to neutral
Once you’re at 450 and can refine them, your collectibles lets you store enough for 50.5 ascended weapons. Not exactly a tiny storage.
This is what I did. Just got weaponsmithing to 450 so I could refine them and store more. No real interest in Ascended atm. Just saving them up as they fill my inventory and if I ever have enough I might make one someday. Figure this is better than destroying them in case I ever actually want Ascended.
a queue system was too much? is it still like lfg.com but in game?
Join the Rainbow Pride
I wish there was a queue.
If only there was something that the Tequatl had that made you want to fight him.
I have been talking to players across all servers and they all believe that Tequatl will be a ghost town with a week or so because of they believe it is unbeatable.
Even if Tequatl is beaten the rewards are tiny. Same goes for Karka Queen or any world boss. Anet really needs to boost the rewards for killing these bosses much higher than they think.
Incentive Incentive Incentive Incentive Incentive Incentive Incentive Incentive. That dirty word.
Agreed. I won’t buy any of these skins since they are only 1 time use.
Complaining because DH is taking entire maps?!?!?! IS that not the point of WvW? Am I missing something here?
Yeah, we were in FC, hardly saw a soul and were kind of disappointed. I can’t speak for everyone, but I personally would rather have an open field battle with equal numbers, than one server rolling over another server, that’s no fun.
Well, I would say the point of WvW is having fun. Winning is fun, but I doubt it’s fun to win against people that won’t play with you.
But I was pretty wowed by IOJ’s zerg when they took back bay. Is [CORE] new or just bigger? Don’t remember seeing as many of you guys as before.
Also hello Fergs! I’ll be doing a lot of roaming this week, glad to fight some new faces and get to know your guilds.
[CORE] is a little over a month old, so you wouldn’t have seen any of us before. And if I tag up, we get decent numbers on almost any map (teh pugs love meh). We had some good fights on your BL – was fun. Too bad we couldn’t do 3 maps after our primetime ended, otherwise I would have holed up in your hills (was working on a WP when you guys took it back).
DH was on fire this reset, and it wasn’t just turnout. At one point I think [PD], [FG], [jade], and [Abys] were all coordinating defense and offense in the same BL. Good stuff, but I guess glicko gave us a bit of an overkill reset this time around. We did end up disbanded fairly early to dolyak tonics and dungeons and the pvp arena for my guild’s end though.
Your numbers were fine during the actual reset. What I’m more referring to is you guys having a queue in EB all the way until 4:30 AM CDT. [Abys], do you go to sleep? I had about 15 [CORE] left at that point and our Friday-night guys decided to run everytime we zerg fought. So the same 25 people ran in to get annihilated repeatedly.
And if you’re going to treb our EB keep into another dimension, either take the kitten thing or stop attacking it. Sat there half-asleep staring at you guys for 2 hours until it fortified. I even tried to party with some DH to figure out who your commander was, so I might be able to kitten them off and have them do something.
Look at Millenium. We’re projected to lose 56k at this rate. So yes, we really do need to “capture all of EB, all of FC’s BL and have half of your BL.”
Welcome to WvW.
I guess I’ll give you that. I don’t think I’m too much of a fan of this system. Starting at about rank 15 and up, I think WvW gets really competitive and everyone has pretty similar numbers of those that they are generally matched up with. Below that, we might have similar numbers in certain times of the day, but don’t really have the coverage the rest of the time. Was getting frustrated at the time having been leading from reset to almost 5 AM and still getting stomped.
I was kind of hoping that if we were matched against you guys, that maybe the 2nd world would be GoM or another highly-populated world that might be able to relieve some pressure off of IoJ. I think the world that got really kittened here was FC. After they lost SM, last night was Giant World vs World vs an NPC camp.

Well, this isn’t going to be much fun.
Sorry FC, still rooting for you guys. But you might want to defend your entire BL / Corner of EB over SM next time. You get pushed out and we get focused on entirely by DH. You had the numbers to do it for sure. I was trying to ninja SM from you with 20 when out of nowhere you had 75-100 people hit us from behind lol. Really though, we were hitting DR pretty hard for a few hours. I was hoping you might capitalize on it, but choosing SM over your entire BL . . . :\
DH, what are you guys doing? I understand it’s fun to come out strong on a reset, but you do realize that you’re going to make both FC and IoJ just want to give up, right? I’m not to keen on an essential 1v1 with DH because you demoralized FC enough to where they don’t show up at all. You keep going at this rate, and nobody is going to be in WvW. Do you really need to capture all of EB, all of FC’s BL, and have half of our BL? If you keep it up, I think you’re going to have an entire week of absolutely nothing.
Also, if you’re going to spend 2 hours throwing hell down on our EB keep, at least charge the thing. We had outer gate, 2 outer walls, and 2 inner walls down. On top of that, you easily had 3x our people. Even then, you had 2 trebs and 3 catapults hitting right around the choke points. And you wiped all our siege. All that and you sat there long enough staring us down for the blasted thing to fortify, only to start trebbing it into oblivion again.
On a more positive note, CORE had some good fights with you in your BL. Not sure why you hopped maps after we wiped you once though :\ . Or why you had literally 10 people in DRBL at reset. . .

What is ZL? Zoomlock?
Yup.
Lots of reports/screenshots coming in of IOJ AC’s spotting, attacking and hitting elevated locations and seige DIRECTLY from places they shouldn’t be able to, or shouldn’t even be able to see.
LOTS, of reports.
Feel free to send these screenshots to an IoJ member so we can make these “accusations” public on our forums and start naming and shaming
That is assuming theyre legit
Speak to a member of Abyss. They have the pics, I can’t access the website gallery they linked in TS3 as I’m not a member.
We also had an incident with a thief in Klovan even though the walls/gate was up, but we believe he was already in there since he was able to cloak quite a long time.
Not really sure what’s going on.
Some SS’s should be that our Inner Keep’s staircase was being hit by AC’s located down by the Watergate. Among others.
That was me using that arrow cart, but it wasn’t a zoomhack . . .
First off, the extended radius will make an AC hit 85% of that WG anyway. Also, arrow carts make circles straight down, so just targeting the wall that the stairs are on hits most of the area directly in front of your WG.
Secondly, there is a little dip in the rocks off to the far side that lets you see slightly around a corner. It’s a little tight, but all you need is 1 pixel to target on.
If you’re referring to the actual staircase, you can view that from pretty much anywhere on the WG, since it is elevated. That’s actually the easiest area to hit. The hardest area is directly behind the gate, or at the bottom of the staircase. But extended AC radius hits most of that area anyway, and you can also target the walls.
Really though, I can show you exactly how it is done, or you can try for yourself. If you have screenshots, then place an AC where I did and have your best AC users try and play with the camera angles a bit. PM me and I can show you.

I totally get what you are saying about the use of siege. If you have got it, use it.
The issue I have is that with your numbers, and I mean the CORE/HARD group, you should and could be better than you are at certain aspects of WvW.
You won’t see VP complain about being outnumbered, thats the way we like it. We only run between 8-12 guys on a regular night and like to fight the big zergs as much as we can.
Frequently, we get stomped, as is the tricky nature of poking the big beast with a sharp stick, but occassionally we manage to pull it off and wipe the big groups, and that’s what it is all about for us, that and open field fights.
The other night we were in the IoJ SE tower doing our usual open tower defence stuff. I think you guys wiped 2-3 times trying to get in. Then the siege comes out.
Arrow carts everywhere around the outside, ballistas, and extra treb hitting us inside the tower. All fair enough and fully expected. Most of which we were able to get rid of and get back into the tower.
What we have NEVER seen before, and I mean none of us in VP, was the 2 Omega golems you built in hills and came at us with next. 2 Omegas to take a tower with 10 VP in it and no walls!
Hey…. it worked
I did not think there was a limit to what is “fair” as far as siege goes, but I think that may have been getting close to it. And I really never thought I would say that.
Anyway, we are having some good fights this week and I am enjoying going up against IoJ and GoM.
/salute
There is a big difference between an organized [HARD][CORE] group and a mostly pug zerg. I’m usually in most of those organized zergs, and don’t remember omega rushing a tower with the gate already down, haha. Although if you wiped my pug zerg 3 times while we try to get up those god-forsaken stairs, I would not be opposed to building a treb right in front of you. I’d rather waste supplies than lower IoJ morale.
It’s actually kind of funny though. With the price of omegas, it’s almost as if pugs prefer to roam with them rather than themselves. I’m sure IoJ has omega rushed people very stupidly at times. I’ve had the DR pugs omega rush pangloss, and GoM pugs (actually there was a comm in one) omega rush Danelon. What makes me giggle everytime is seeing a lone omega golem trying to take a camp, and then run away when our “Blob” descends upon it.
At any rate, know that CORE is a little over a month old, and most of our members were pugs only 1-2 weeks ago. We can definitely pull out numbers, but we’re by no means were we want to be yet. We do have some really good WvW here, but the biggest thing we’ve accomplished is getting all our members to actually listen and stay in that 5×5 blob, while simultaneously getting our pugs to do it by example.
And to be fair (I forget who said it) that 5×5 blob is pretty deadly . You can’t count our numbers very well, so aren’t sure if you should stay to fight or run. It also lets me micromanage how we choose to engage, rather than just a massive and really spread out push.
And I’ll have to tip my hat off to the GoM commander that successfully got your pugs to ball up between SM, Anz, and Spelden 2 nights ago. I didn’t think you’d be able to get them balled up .

GG at IoJ Hills DR.
Protip: Contest the WP before wasting so many golems in the Lords Room. Still picking up loot bags.
#LORDING
Also @ MoW it’s lovely to finally farm you, way to be such a Mortal Wound. GG DR paying for IoJ guilds to transfer to join your badness. The word “intimidation” comes to mind.
Judging by today’s performance I can only imagine how much they regret it. In the meantime, enjoy your home server going above and beyond to successfully direct you to the way points and repair NPC’s MoW. Embrace the suck. Or pay anet for an easier situation on yet another server. GL&HF or thanks for loots.
p.s. LOL! Source of entertainment is entertaining.

In the Current DH vs IoJ vs NSP matchup the 2 camps in our corner danelon and umberglade are bugged. NO yaks are spawning therefore we can’t get any supply to our 2 northern towers or Stonemist. This means no upgrades for the towers that are currently paper meaning they will be easily flipped over and over making us lose our stronghold on Eternal Battlegrounds. Currently Stonemist has 2 events showing “defend your supply caravan” but of course there isn’t any supply caravan’s within a mile and I’m assuming that’s the reason no yaks are spawning.
DH was big before, just seems bigger this time around

A dungeon group finder is needed because:
*Some players don’t like stupid arguments about what gear they have equipped.
*Some people do not want to do speed runs of dungeons
*It’s save time
*no one complains about playing with random people in SPvP
This is what I know—
Two months ago, Robert Hrouda mentioned that a Dungeon/Group Finder is in the works: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons/It-s-time-for-a-group-finder/first#post1384841 … however, there really isn’t much of a discussion about it since Robert closed the thread before one could be engaged.
What came of it? Who knows, but there obvious is an interest in one since this topic comes up occasionally. At the moment, GW2LFG is pretty much your only option if you want to stick to playing with randoms. Otherwise, you’ll have to find a guild with like-minded people and run with them. And yes, I’m aware GW2LFG is a third party site— I also agree that it’s kind of silly in using a third-party utility to solve a first-world problem. There’s always the case of account security and privacy when it comes to it. For example, someone could troll a stranger by having that troll put down a random person’s name on the LFG posting and that person would get unwanted LFG requests. I know it has happened to a few people in my guild.
I am Fleeting Flash, in-game dungeon cosplayer of Reddit Refugees [RR] .
gw2lfg.com
It is already there.
Having to use a third party application to accomplish an in game task that even the most cheaply made free to play MMOs have readily available hardly seems fitting for a AAA MMO.
if you need a dungeon finder then maybe you ought to reflect on why you play this game
We play the game to run dungeons as opposed to standing around in LA screaming “LFG LFG LFG” until it’s time to log off, which a dungeon finding tool would make easier and overall expedite what is already a boring and pointless task.
Hrm… You’re right, reflecting on why I play did help me realize that I definitely want an LFG tool. Thanks!

I’d like it if there weren’t so many ways to get one-shotted in dungeons. I’d like it if dungeons weren’t super long. I’d really like it if the rewards for completing a path was split along the bosses of that path (instead getting it all at the end give fractions of it for each boss, that way it feels like less of a waste of time if you can’t finish the run). I’d also really like a dungeon finder.
Aside: are there guides for dungeons outside of the wiki and the videos stickied here?
PLEASE Remove the magic find stat from dungeons all together, it rewards you for being selfish and hurts you for gearing correctly
Mostly, all MF sets and weapons should never even existed at all from beginning. MF with food, fine, leaving the player to wear a proper armor, not a leeching one.
I think the biggest problem is the way the reward system is structured. Having all the worthwhile gear simply be available for a large number of tokens makes running dungeons feel boring and grindy. Furthermore, having full sets with the same stat configurations encourages simply farming a single dungeon once a day.
Honestly, WoW really figured out how to make doing dungeons and getting rewards work well – it’s part of the reason the game is still so popular. I think GW2 should take a few notes from the WoW book, and bosses (possibly just final bosses to prevent farming) should have known loot tables (of which one item is guaranteed to drop for each player) with bind-on-acquire exotics with set stat configurations. In the event that this would make acquiring exotics too easy, it could be pairs of rares and exotics with the same stat configurations, with drop rates determing the rare:exotic ratio. Perhaps exotics could be guaranteed from the final boss, or exotics ONLY drop from the final boss, with other bosses having masterwork/rare loot.
As long as the different stat configurations are smartly distributed across all the different explorable mode paths of all the dungeons, this would give players incentive to run all the different paths in the game.
Tokens would then serve the purpose of letting you buy gear you need eventually, in the event you get really unlucky. (Or a way to gear up alts)
This system would work even better with the existance of ascended gear, because these exotics are no longer the max-stat items in the game.
Also, this is a bit unrelated, but GW2 really needs a good dungeon finder system, especially with the introduction of FotM. If it teleported players into the dungeon (like WoW does) it would further encourage people to run dungeons – why make the whole group pay several silver and sit through an extra loading screen before they get to start a dungeon? (Perhaps it could only allow players to teleport in if they’ve completed the story mode version).

I know quite a few people who haven’t run dungeons enough to give any [useful] feedback. I’m in that same boat.
For this reason, imo, ANet should roll out a quality “LFG” product, give that some time to stew, and then ask for this sort of feedback.
Right now, imo, dungeons are just not accessible enough to get feedback from a very broad spectrum of players.
It will be disappointing to see time devoted to changing dungeons based on this feedback instead of being allocated to creating the LFG.
OMG… so many peaple asking for Dungeon Finder ?! HOW lazy can You be not to be able find a group by urselves !? This is madness is this still an MMO ?
#&$% You Blizzard for destroying the good old fashion MMO idea of dungeons by adding something so stupid like dungeon finders, such a wanderfull world and peaple sit on their kitten in towns and LFD…
