@Tom why so much anger? chill man.

@mike I bet you are quite dissapointed with current state of support classes, but from your post I can assume you have not tried all the possible options. Points you suggested are I’m afraid against the whle idea of mechanics in gw2, and I doubt any of them will ever heppen, however I think that good buff to healing professions would be increasing skill’s scaling with Healing Power.

See, if somone uses HP as one of their gear attributes, he sacreficaes a lot of his combat potential. And what he gets? going full HP makes my regeneration merely 3x stronger than full berserker’s thief.
I think good solution to lack of support classes in current meta would be grantly increasing weapon and utility skill’s scaling with HP and decreasing their base heal. I dont think such changes should be implemented to dedicated healing skills.

And simple advice if you want this kind of healer. Try D/D elementalist with 0/10/0/30/30 Magi, or 0/0/10/30/30 Apothecary. I use them and I find these build amazing
Both of them are focused around Evasive Arcana trait, to let you use Cleansing wave as much as possible (its AoE heal with AMAZING scaling and cleanse condition) and good usage is to use elemental shields as often as you can, and switch between attunments wisely. (I reccomend you taking runes carefully aswell, you can make use of additional +30% boon duration, just saing)

Both of these builds are offensive in other ways, Magi focuses in crits and sigil with on-crit effects, so you will be offensive mainly in Fire and Air, but the Apothecary build is cond dmg offensive so you will deal much bigger and sustained dmg, and you will be more offensive in Fire and Earth.

Guys… you made me think. What about making Chill deal dmg? Like this trat that make fear deal (0,35 condition dmg). While I think this trait is quite weak (there are…. 3 skills that necro can use that cause fear, and each of them, even trated would couse 1 ping of dmg). Necromancer already have wide acces to chill, making it deal dmg would combine nicely with Chilling Darkness trat for example….
Chill dealing 0,3 condition dmg…?

Guys, I have an idea, I think good one. Look at Diablo 3’s Valor of Nephelem. It is buff which stacks few times, each stack makes you get more MF and GF. And you get stacks by killing bosses. I think this could reduce problem of boss-skipping in dungeons, however would require recalculating some dungeons and deciding which bosses give that boon. Also I could be difficult to make this buff be more tempting to have than MF gear, and not too big in same time.

To induce further discussion, I thought of some cons connected with mentioned solution.
- Devs already stated they are on their way to introduce Scavanger hunt for precursors. In January SH was planned, I think it is at the moment either programmed or tested. While I think SH is another good solution for Precursor accesability, I dont think rearraging MF recipes would conflict it in any way.

Made my day
Totally agree on buff in PvE
About jellyfish: well, I know that elite stuff is and should be elite, but… we already have rainbow animation in game. What Im thinking about is The Bifrost. And its land-only weapon, so there is no underwater animation that looks like rainbow Bifrost aura, maybe jellyfish could get something like this around?

Precursor

While I have seen many threads connected with precursors (most of them filled with rage about MF, being unlucky, RNG and rarity of this weapons), I havnt seen any suggetion like this, simple one (maybe not programming wise).
While I agree that precursors are not attainable enough, I dont agree with most of the solutions to the problem suggested. MF is really important tool in GW2 economy, it in fact creates prices of weapons, further – mats.
Currently, we can see that method of obtaining precursors is to throw Exotics (no matter which ones) and hoping for luck (0,03% as far as I know)
What I suggest, is creating… link between “common” exotics and legendaries (not necceserly connected with improved stats)
That link could be (and should in my opinion) other uncommon and rarely obtainable weapons, the named ones (like Skybringer, Crystalline sword, Kymswarden and so on…)
I think that good way to distinguish these weapons would be adding new rarity to them (maybe ascended?) maybe small description (flawor wise – I really think that these 2 short sentences in description make weapon more… epic).
Than chances for precursor would look like:
rares (20%)-> exotics -> (fixed number, maybe 20%?) ->pre-precursors (another fixed number) -> precursor

Insted of current system:
rares/exotics -> random exotic/precursor

I think this solution would bring end to few of current problems:
- It would keep RNG part of getting precursor, chances to get one would just be more… market-controllable
- It would let people (in a way) keep track of their progress towards legendary
- It would get rid of TONS of weapons on market that should be more… elite. By design.

To sum up. My predictions are (only logical ones, Im not any kind of economic guru) that prices of precursors should decrease in a longer term (in perfect world not much, 10-20% depends on all mentioned “fixed numbers”), and other rare (really lovely weapons) would get some love, their price would wind up (again, it shouldnt be much, but more than the decrease of precursor’s price, maybe 150-200%), accesability would decrease (making them more interesting for casual players).

This is not good idea, because existance of these skins in place of simply new weapons with awesome skins, would reduce the usage of transmutation stones – tool that exist especially for this purpose.
