This is the reeeaaal bump!
We are still looking, I am online right now, ping me there
Hey there!
Are you feeling lonely? Maybe we can help improving your loneliness! EoL – Evolution of Loneliness – is searching for a few more like-minded players.
What are we?
- A smaller guild (roster size around 100 and some ~60 being active at least weekly) with focus on being social – and we want to keep it like this. Means we are not going to recruit 20 new people on a single day with noone knowing nobody anymore
- We are nice and friendly and every recruit is expected to be so too. You won’t see us raging in some map chat or stuff, you’d rather discover one of us running for a rezz although it might end with the death of both.
- Everyone in EoL does what he wants – and sometimes together. We have no pressure at all and we don’t want to dictate you how/when to play the game. We have a few regular events which you can join or not, but most action is initiated out of the guild chat.
- We have both veteran and newbie players, we really don’t care about your skill level as long as you’re nice company
We live a laid-back casual attitude, which doesn’t mean that some members aren’t interested in/doing higher content like high fractals or raids.
- If you want to learn more about our philosophy and rules, check this page: http://eol.notjustfor.me/pages/view/about (careful, website is really really beta, we’re slowly working on it
)).
Although we want to keep it small, we are searching for a few more like-minded players to join us and give each other more possible guildies to play with. Right now we usually have around 10-15 ppl online in prime times, my wish is to slowly raise that up to around 20 people online (even in summer
). After that we will quit recruiting unless the count falls again.
How do you apply?
Preferably catch me ingame or send me an ingame mail. I will also check the forums here. You do not need to fill out some application form or stuff. We will have a little chat where we can both try to find out if EoL can meet your expectations and you might be like-minded, fitting to the rest of our little community. If we like each other and wanna try it, you’ll get an invite then
That’s it, feel always free to ask any questions. Maybe, we’ll see us soon!

What’s that? Ah! A bump!
That’s the way .. aha aha … I bump it!
Guess what this is…a bump!

Hey together!
Yes, raids are cool, aren’t they? Unfortunately not everyone yet did the opportunity to discover that.
Situation
In my guild (a lovely smaller social guild with casual attitude) I have the following situation:
- People which are very keen on raids got into raid guilds or set raid teams and have their raiding with them. They therefore got quite experienced.
- People interested in raids, but without intention to join other groups for it. Some simple because of limited time (and every friendship needs care
). They have very few raiding experience.
Idea
My idea is to establish a raid training team with possibly the same people every week, so that every sunday at 6pm the team goes for Vale Guardian and can train the mechanics and gather experience in a not so much changing environment.
As you might guess, the more raid experienced people in my guild are not thaaat very keen on joining this sunday training, especially because they might have done their week raiding already, for sure VG
So in the end I have not enough people that want to train VG left to fill a team.
Goal
What do I aim for with this post? I want to check if there are people which would be interested in being on a ‘fill up’ list for the raid training team. So basically, they wouldn’t be a set team member (cause I’d always prefer my guildies, sorry
) but if they are online at training time and we need more team members I would ask them if they want to join. Maybe we can even set the team on saturdays, so people know one day before if they are in or not for the next run. So over time, we could ideally establish a kind of a friendship and get together for raiding sometimes.
Requirements / Expectations
You’d need to be nice, friendly and patient – that’s the most important part. As this runs will have a ‘training’ label, don’t expect a kill, so the expectations should be right.
You should know the VG mechanic basics, I don’t care if you never did it but read about them, did it one or a few time without a kill or regularly kill it. Just be prepared, have full exotic gear with a proper build and if possible ascended trinkets and/or weapons. Oh and TS3 would be a must for easy communication.
Interested?
If you think that could be a possible option for you, just contact me ingame preferably, message or whisper. We will talk a bit and I will try to get a feeling if you are roughly like-minded (basically what I do with every guild-interest, but I really want to find nice people for this
). If we both think we could have fun training raiding together, I’ll add you on my list and maybe contact you soon for filling up a run.
I don’t know if that will work, but I really want to try to give more of my guildies an opportunity for raiding, so let’s see if someone contacts me
Have fun!
Ani
Same for us tonight with the challenge. NPC always says ‘Sorry, mission is closed. Please try again later’. Didn’t change after leaving the squad and trying again, we were not able to do it
Here is my norn female ele. Some armor pieces are gem store items tho. Hope you find a nice look for your norn soon
Hey there gw2 players,
first of all: I am NOT searching for a guild.
I am currently on Underworld which lately has never been a super duper wvw fight server, but it had something going. We made it to T7 and got hit hard. Back to T8 it seems everyone stopped being interested in WvW. Stuck in red eotm.
Although I like playing for the underdog in WvW it seems Underworld can’t fulfill my wishes anymore. I am not a hardcore wvw player. I like to play some wvw here and then, mostly running with the zerg rather than roaming. Maybe I would do more if I’d see any point in it.
I am searching for:
- a nice server community, no hating in chat because not everyone knows everything
- at least sometimes being not last in a matchup
- more blue/green color than red
- queues at peak times not above 30 minutes roughly
Is that dreaming of unicorns or can someone recommend an EU server I should look closer at? I don’t mind the tier (well, should not be lowest tier anymore if possible) as long as there is a bit action with nice fights and people.
Looking forward for your advice,
Ani
Hey there,
EoL is opening their doors for a few more players to join this nice helpful guild. We are all friendly and love to help, also we have no problem with you being not able to play everyday. That makes EoL a relaxed environment for both – veterans and newbies.
We count around 110 players, but some of them are quite inactive or play very irregular – those need a home as well, don’t they? We don’t kick them, we make them phantoms
Lately a guildie returned after 7 months break and wrote me a happy mail cause he was not kicked from the guild. That’s the EoL spirit!
At peak times we have something around 10-15 ppl online at the same time, but the summer makes forecasting harder. You don’t have to represent 100% -who are we telling you who to represent – but it would be great if you’d have the opportunity to get to know the other members as that’s what a guild is for
We have weekly missions on saturday evenings. Sometimes others events like Mapping Monday or a Trait Tuesday or something, but most parties find themselves over guild chat. Those parties are mostly for PVE stuff like mapping, dungeons, fractals, world bosses, but we have some members playing PVP regular too.
So, if you are searching for a friendly smaller guild with nice and helpful people in it, you should send me a message (preferably ingame
).
See ya in EoL!
(Recruitment picture is something one of our members made for EoL, great hm?
)
Yesterday we did all guild missions! That was nice
Our members count now says 95 members with around 10-15 ppl online at the same time at peak times. We will give 5 more players an opportunity to join our little community and stop any recruiting then, cause we dont want to grow too big.
If you are interested, best whisper me ingame (online right now and probably the rest of the evening).
Have fun!
We tried a puzzle yesterday and were SO CLOSE to succeeding! It was a matter of seconds.
Maybe you can help us next time?
We are very beginner friendly, so we dont care about your current experience or achievement points
We are still looking for some more friendly faces to be able to succeed at guild challenges and try our first puzzle
I did the same towards the end of test time
This is my best shot.
Today we had great guild missions with trek, bounty, rush and of course our traditional ‘EoL After Missions Party’ (see some impressions on our website)
We are still searching for some more friendly persons to join us so we can handle challenges and puzzles (both already unlocked and ready to go) soon too!
If you think you might fit a casual nice small community, are yourself a friendly person and playing on an EU server, give me a call ingame or here and we can talk
Hi,
my guild counts towards the smaller guilds, although we have around 70 members – there are quite some ‘not so active’ ones, that need a home as well.
We made it to unlock the guild challenges and are building the guild puzzles unlock right now. Well, the challenges are mainly for bigger guilds, so we mostly failed. We got the barrel defense thingy twice now, seems just not doable for less than 20 ppl. The quaggan rescue worked better
What I was wondering: There must be other smaller guilds in the same situation. Missions unlocked but not enough members online at the same time to suceed at them all.
I dont wanna recruit more members just to have them, we want to get to know the ones we have now, so just filling up the roster is not an option
If you are a guild leader or officer and thinking right now ‘maybe we could figure something out together to solve this problem for our both guilds’ feel free to contact me ingame or here in the forums.
Have fun!
Ani
HI Murdyr,
I won’t give you a wall of text, but feel free to check out our guild thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/community/lookingfor/EU-EoL-small-casual-guild-recruiting/first#post4642736
Hope you find a nice guild soon
Ani
We made it, we suceeded a challenge!
We are also working on a new nice website with useful stuff for members on it
Hey Hitomoshi,
if you want, check out our guild thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/community/lookingfor/EU-EoL-small-casual-guild-recruiting/first#post4642736
If you have an questions I will be online later this evening.
Hope you find a nice guild soon!
Hi Drake,
you and Topaz maybe could be a good fit for EoL, see our recruiting thread here: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/community/lookingfor/EU-EoL-small-casual-guild-recruiting/first#post4642736
We are english-speaking, international (members from many different countries) and german (both leaders are german)
We do have 50+ members, BUT: We want to give not regularly or not so often active players a home as well, so you wont find most of them online at the same time. In peak times its around 10-15 members online, but a every member has a real life this can vary
From this you can read we are really laid-back and its no problem if you wont play for days.
If you are interested, send me a PM here or ingame. I hope you two find a nice home, this game is much more fun with a nice guild
Have fun,
Ani
Same problems here, but another location. Trying to go to guild challenge in Mount Maelstrom and stuck on loading screen.. trying to relog takes hours and several tries, some did not even make it yet
Seems not to be real map related cause login tries in other regions were not sucessful too.
UPDATE: We maybe found a workaround. Some members made it with not representing the guild with active guild mission in that map, than port to the map and represent again. Not sure if it works for everyone though.
(edited by Ani.8473)
It’s again guild mission day! Best day to join and get to know us. (And maybe help us with the challenge
)
/w me ingame and we can talk a bit
Tomorrow we will have our first guild challenge in missions set. Could need few more helping hands with this
Underworld News: Yesterday there was a mini queque (3 ppl) for EternalBattlegrounds. Wow, never seen one before
Yesterday evening we started the guild challenges unlock
Wanna help us with our first guild challenge next week?
If you’re searching for a friendly nice guild and prefer a smaller growing one with weekly guild missions, we might be a good fit
Let’s talk about it – whisper me ingame, send me a mail or a bird if that’s your favourite communication way
As far as I know Necros are very welcome in a wvw setting. The thing with dungeon groups not wanting necros is mostly just because others classes may be able to bring more party support, but in the end it depends on the player what a class contributes to a party.
Related to your question, if you would like to have a character to play all aspects of the game with choose elementalist. It’s true, its a bit overwhelming in the beginning with the attunements and combos and squishyness but in the end its quite rewarding.
If you go for mainly wvw Necro is a great option too. You could just test both (for example in pvp) and decide then.
You don’t have to be lonely, be part of the evolution
Still have some space for new members, we don’t care if you’re beginner or pro.
We have our guild missions (Trek, Bounty, Rush) tomorrow evening. If you wanna try us out that could be a nice opportunity
Hey Zenfar,
since you included WvW, you should tell which server you’re on
Hope, you find a nice guild for you!
LG,
Ani
Hi all,
we are EoL – Evolution of Loneliness – based on Underworld and currently looking for some more members. We do a bit of everything, what involves dungeons, fractals, PVE stuff like mapping or world bosses, some pvp and wvw too if we are in the mood
As we consider us laid back and casual it’s all in an unorganized way.
What’s not unorganized are our guild missions
We unlocked Trek, Bounty, Rush and Challenge and are working on the last one. We are doing missions every saturday in evening CET time zone.
Right now, we count ~65 members, but a lot of them are not as active as ‘the core’, what might be around ~15 members. We want to give unregularly active players a home as well, so that’s no problem – but we could need a little more helping hands with the guild challenges and puzzles to come
We have a TS, but use it only for special stuff, most communication is via guild chat. We are all very nice, friendly and helpful and that is what you should be either. New players are welcome too, we have members from all experience grades.
Just whisper me or send me a message (best ingame) and we can talk a bit about you maybe becoming a part of our little growing community
Have fun!
Ani

Some more suggestions:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Lionguard_Staff kinda picks up the royal look you created
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Dragon%27s_Jade_Quarterstaff_Skin (not everyone can wear that, but I think this could fit well with your ele
but: its a ticket skin)
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Primordus_Staff would give a bit darker atmosphere, not sure if you’d want that
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Pirate_Staff could work too
Let us know what you choose in the end
Have fun,
Ani
I think it’s a lot depending on your personal playstyle. I you have two free character slots I would advice to create both and play around with them. They are so completely different, you’ll quickly see which one keeps your interest longer.
I myself have a thief at lvl 50something for over a year now. On the other hand I have three rangers, two on lvl 80. I like rangers and can’t agree with Eirdyne, I play them in WvW and PvP too with much fun (although I am not a hardcore player so others can perhaps say more about that, I’m just talking about fun
). Ranger is easy to level with a bow but when it comes to the other weapons and playing with others you have to learn what every class has to learn. Plus you have to learn to control the pet what’s not always as easy as it could be
Would be nice to know what character you roll in the end g
Have fun!
Hey Chamelion,
maybe you wanna take a look at our little nice community, here’s our recruitment thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/guilds/recruitment/UW-EoL-looking-for-friendly-players/
We welcome casual players and have a good mix of (less to very experienced) everyday players and somewhat ‘every month players’
We are mostly into PvE but have some PvP players too. WvW, well, we’re on Underworld
Good luck in finding the right guild for you and your wife, that increases the gw2 fun more then I can say
I like Fjorä, although I would like Fjöra more for a Norn. One point less for this and two less for the missing last name (that feels like really needed in that short name) makes 7/10
Ellika sounds great but the warmaster is so kinda usual that it ends at 7/10 score too.
My female norn ele is called: Hroony Eisiefeir
I LOVE those kind of threads
DrDivine: 5/10 Nice color scheme, but looks a bit jumbled for me, weapon doesn’f fit very well and I don’t like the face.
Alkonium: 5/10 Friendly warrior, great look on the face
But a bit too ‘unflashy’ for my taste.
Roseberry: 7/10 Solid look, aren’t Sylvaris georgious when they glow? Though I feel there is missing the ‘cherry on top’ if you know what I mean
Shadechidna: 7/10 Though I think Sylvaris are the chars you should see most of the skin because its so beautiful I like your look, especially the red in the hair g
Elynaeh 8.5/10 Wonderful style, very well fitting colors for the sylvari, but this eyes…;) Don’t like the shoulders.
KeyLimPi 6/10 Not the best shot, but looks kinda crazy, I like that!
Soulmyr 10/10 That’s my favourite, that’s how a Sylvari should look like! Wonderful how you mixed that green and blue into a natural feeling with this ley line sword!
Here are my two Sylvari girls:
Edge of The Mists and your Personal Story for some distraction
– gives nice xp and since last update really useful rewards. Sometimes you can even get a booster
One more vote for Ranger here
I love the greatsword animations of rangers and you have a wide variety of weapons, meele or ranged, so you can easily get into the game before you have to deal with character specifics.
You can travel around and get all pets, choosing the ones you like most or denpending on situation.
Everything else is said above, but one hint: When playing with a group don’t spam longbow skill 4. It is a knockback, a lot players..ehm…’don’t like’ rangers using that because it moves the target out of aoe spells or meele chars have to run after the foe. So use it careful
Will you let us know your decision in the end?
Hi there,
welcome to the game! My first advice to you is join a nice casual guild that is newbie friendly. Guilds make this game to much better! They also give you the opportunity to find players that can show you around, not just tell you how things works but come with you to explore them
When playing with your friends which are all new, there are two different things to do:
- Personal Story (little green star sign on map). This one is different for different races and character creation choices but the same above a certain higher lvl. You could do first ones personal story together til the lvl is too high and then personal story from another character.
- Map completion. You can do the hearts and search for all POIs, Waypoints, Vistas and Skill Challenges til you have 100% of the map completed. This will give you an reward as well
No problem to do that with friends instead of personal story, so noone misses something.
That should be enough to get started. Perhaps learn a crafting profession (trainers in major cities), meet your first world boss (for example Shadow Behemoth in Queensdale), this can all be very exciting. With lvl 22(?) you can enter PVP and try this out if you would like to play against real other players.
If really nothing is enjoyable for you…perhaps MMORPGs might not be the right genre?
I wish you finding the fun in GW, I love that game
LG,
Ani
Hello GW2 players,
we are a EoL (Evolution of Loneliness), a guild based on Underworld (EU) counting 50 members right now. As not all of them are online regularly (and this is okay for us
), we decided to invite some more players to join us g I think our active core is more like 15-20 players although not all are online at the same time in the evenings.
We are all friendly and helpful, so new players find good company with us. We are exicted that we just started the ‘Guild Rushes Unlock’ upgrade, so we soon will have those beside guild bounties and treks.
We kinda like to play a bit of everything, mainly PVE with dungeons and world bosses, but there are also some pvp players with us. WvW is mainly EotM, but if you’d like to change this, you’ll find friends in EoL too
We have a TS3 that we use mainly for special actions like pvp, missions or fractals. And: we have a little website where we like to post stuff, some of us are even blogging a bit there
Check it out -> http://eol.gw2.notjustfor.me/
So if you think we could fit together, send me a message or whisper me ingame and we can talk a bit about that
LG,
Ani
Yeah, sadly this is the truth. Did not see, you’re from a Na Server
The UK Part let me completely overread this
I hope, you’ll find a nice guild.
Have fun,
Ani
Hey there!
You sound absolutely like a good fit for [EoL]
Maybe you wanna check out our guild thread at https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/guilds/recruitment/Underworld-Friendly-small-guild-searching/ instead of receiving the first of walls of text that sure will follow
I will be online this evening (we have MAPPING MONDAY today evening g) so you can whisper me if you are interested in joining us.
Anyway, I hope you’ll find a fitting guild soon, that makes the game 100% better
Have fun,
Ani
Hi Sedibot,
are you playing on an EU server? Though we have megaserver and global guilds, I think EU and NA players still can’t play together
Have fun,
Ani
Wow, our member count went to 32! We already succeeded at a guild bounty, tomorrow is our next try. We’ll work on guild rushes next but that may take a while
If you wanna be with us and get one of the last seats we give away in our little nice community contact me here, ingame or on our website (see my signature). You don’t have to be much experienced or online everyday, only thing we expect is being friendly and helpful like we are
Plus you should be on an EU server.
See you ingame!
Hey WolfMirage,
are you playing on an EU Server? Maybe you wanna check out our little friendly guild, here’s our thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/guilds/recruitment/Underworld-Friendly-mini-guild-searching
I hope you find a nice guild, that makes the games much more better
LG,
Ani
Hey Perlisz,
sound like you would fit well with us: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/guilds/recruitment/Underworld-Friendly-mini-guild-searching/ (instead of throwing a wall of text at you
)
We have some new players with us that frequently ask questions and everyone is happy to help. So I would consider us absolutely beginner-friendly
But: If you really wanna do WvW we might be not first choice, cause we’re not on Aurora Glade.
I hope you’ll find a nice guild for you
LG,
Ani
