When are we going to see more options in relation to the party system and the many problems that it holds? There are many things that need to be fixed, such as the kicking ability requiring one vote in the team.
You force all your players who like to solo and sell dungeons, to either get fillers, or get kicked by a pair of ruthless no-lifes who are able to join your party instantly and vote-kick you, from your OWN instance and path that you had completed.
Don’t present any disparity between the players by taking an aggressive stance towards dungeon sellers, or in my opinion, those who enjoy speed clearing consistently, as more than likely they are probably your biggest fans, i.e, longrun $.
With that out the way, I don’t see any reason why anybody would object to the party system being updated urgently. How many people have been kicked at the end of a fractal run, all because of two ******** in your opinion. You think that is your just deserts? I call it unfair and an open invitation for anti-social groups within the game, i.e even more easy for those ‘elitists’, to kick the time wasting randomers that they end up with, resulting in one ****ed off player, and something unfair that could easily be fixed for the majority of circumstances.

Running around the world I get normal FPS, 40-60, however in specific areas; arah starting area, next to the repair anvil, I quite literally get 22-24, which none of the graphic options seem to change.
Generally I play with everything on low, and I’m wondering if this seems normal for my processor? It’s bad for games, but it just seems something is bottlenecking.
HI,
Been looking for a good guild that uses zerker gear and relevant dmg bonuses (pots, offhand +10%s) for a while now. I know all dungeon paths very well, including speed clear tactics in all, as well as fractals. Good on my guardian, war and ele, who are all fully geared and running meta builds.

Is Factions main theme more Chinese, Japanese or Korean sounding, just wondering.
I’d just go with Asian.
I mean, if GW2 was never going to have any immersive stories or plot that has actually been thoroughly worked on, in comparison to GW1, then I would want to know right now, so I can pack my bags and stop wasting my time playing. The game is great, but it’s falling so short of being really memorable.
There are a couple good moments, but “good” at best.
I agree, it could be very costly. Whilst it would be highly beneficial to revamp it, a new project or expansion could be done, provided the previous lessons were learnt..
Main theme of Guild Wars Factions
(probably not the first post with it)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMvcglKzCgEI believe I’ve posted once or twice.
The music is one of the main reasons I loved Cantha. And why I want at the very least some refugees and exiles coming from Kaineng now that the orrian boats are scattered, after Zaitan’s defeat, and rebuild part of LA with classic Kaineng raggedy patchwork of buildigs, which would work great for a new jumping puzzle, and to put Cantha’s music while in that area.
Oh yes, the theme song is pretty incredible, and so immersive for the game that is GW1. It makes me sad to think that GW2 might be getting any restrictions. There’s a huge game, almost complete in my eyes, though lacking a serious amount of immersion story-wise, be it general cutscenes or the personal story.
Thread revive of a old topic that was posted.
The personal story and presentation is utterly dreadful, and I cannot believe the overall plot of it was approved for release.
The script writing in the plot is tragic, and the voice acting even more dull. There are no interesting points or well portrayed scenes throughout the entirety of the personal story, on any race. In fact, the BEST scene I have actually watched, was from the living story, which was the ending of it.
All I can say is… What happened?… The GW1 story, plot and portayal was far better in every aspect, although it obviously had its faults as others have said. (Danika)
Just revamp it… You lose a serious amount of gamers who would be interested in the overall lore and style of GW2, to be put off by crappy and cheesy non-sense being spouted in each uninteresting scene. I know about 7 people in the small town where I live, who all stopped playing because the personal story immersion was so poor, they felt like they were playing a game unfinished.
I’d love to hear back…
Hi Jerem, interested in joining. Added you and will be moving to EU asap.
bump. anyone :o?
bump. just active during gmt hours
First and foremost; hi! I’m looking for an active semi-large elite guild that has high requirements of full berzerker and skill requirements, so to make fast and proper runs daily. I’m currently in [LoD], but find that at the moment, the guild runs all dailies around reset (sleep time for me, 12am).
So there it is, I’m looking for an equivalent guild, on NA – possibly EU, will be considered.
PM/Mail/Post here
Can you really say that the amount there is sufficient lordkrall? I know many players who were unsatisfied with the personal story, and many who are awaiting something interesting to come along update-wise. Some people enjoy the living story, many don’t, although there is a lot of potential, however it is pretty painful to see the living story taking precedence over the real background story (I mean lets face it, the storyline was cheesy as hell, and in some people’s opinion, badly written). Not only that, but I do not think Anet have properly addressed issues keeping the living world updates from being enjoyable.
Stormy, you could write a lot more on the issues, I would myself, but truthfully some would see it as too opinionated, whilst also the message would perhaps go unheeded. Though funnily enough, I spoke to a developer earlier today during the events.
A bit of a thread revive…
But, I saw a post saying Guild Wars stories are generally corny and lame. Whilst this is true, I think the Guild Wars 1 campaign stories were actually inventive, and engaged the user in the perspective of the world.
In Guild Wars 2, I have to say I was incredibly disappointed. The story was actually pretty terrible, with no merits or interesting elements to keep people interested. In my opinion, it’s a half-baked story, and should be a much bigger focus to actually finish, instead of the living story, which feels entirely insignificant and uninteresting.
Another gripe, would be the way the cut-scenes are presented, and again, I have to say… Guild Wars 1 had it on the right lines, as opposed to the lazy cut scenes we have in Guild Wars 2.
Lets get a few examples of plot characters in Guild Wars 1… Rurik, General Morgahn, Koss and Melonni, (I wasn’t a huge fan of the Factions story, though it still had a fitting plot). Who do we have in Guild Wars 2, who is a memorable character? Friggin’ cry-baby Logan and Trahearne, who for a wise old tree, you would expect to have at least something interesting to say. Perhaps it is all down to presentation, but in the ten or so characters I’ve done the story with, I have NEVER been interested once in the plot.
So many things to say about the Guild Wars 2 story… but I don’t think they need to be said. Can anyone really say that it is of good quality in comparison to the consistency and quality of everything else in the game, such as mechanics, graphics, skills? (I say that lightly)
WTB FIX ???? This is just stupid, would be nice if we even got an update…
Same issue here, real pain in the kitten .
Bit of a thread revive, but I have been having this problem all morning and it’s getting annoying now. I can’t use LFG, when I’m invited to a party, I can’t see it after I accept it, and my guild shows 1/1, can’t even talk in it.
I’m simply after a fairly large guild that does a lot of dungeon runs and fractals etc. I have multiple 80’s and map completions. I’m looking to move server so I’m wanting to join a highly populated one. Pm me in game, thanks.
Silverdawn is a guild that has stretched across multiple MMO’s, founded by myself and others. We are a newly formed guild in Guild Wars 2 currently based in US server Ehmry Bay – Though our players are international and timezones will be irrelevant and are growing to become a larger and active guild for PvE.
We strive for character progression, dungeons, cursed shore farming and much more.
Any level player is welcome here as everyone will soon reach a playable level with the guild – All we ask is that you have a mature friendly attitude to other guild members.
If you have any further questions feel free to message myself in game: Deradao/Mystical Valor/Animism, or officer Shalafein.2340
I don’t see any large threads standing out.
What’s your reasoning for wanting to change the current skill system?
I personally am fine with the current system. I am looking forward to new weapon types they may release that will bring in new skills (scythes?, brass knuckes?, etc.)
In the long-term of gaming it will become very bland, and there is not much in terms of tactics to the degree of the Guild Wars 1 skill builds.
New weapons may be interesting, but I hope to see changeable skills to allow builds to be made. Would you agree on more being done than simply new weapons?
P.S Please just reply to this topic to show support or your own thoughts.
Others may have posted this before but I just want to see how many people agree for making a chance to the game.
I know many people who think that the weapon skills are just too bland, and I think that either more weapon skills should be made or a skill system similar to Guild Wars 1 should be implemented.
I don’t think I should go into massive detail about ideas, I just want to see how much support there is to try and make this more of a main focus for Anet developers.
