This obviously means we’re all in on it.
I imagine every server has their percentage of cheaters. They should all be reported.
Being one of the very few SBI players that completely skipped the stupid PvE crap and focused completely on WvW all weekend, I don’t care about gold and gear winning is all that matters. I am very upset with SBI’s attendance so far, I know we have a slow showing on the weekends but due to the event this weekend was the worst. I have never had outmanned on all 4 maps for so long and during such high population times.
PLAYERS OF STORMBLUFF PLEASE GET INTO WORLD VS WORLD!
Sea of Sorrows is going to think they are good and pat themselves on the back for winning this week if we don’t LOG IN AND FIGHT! For the rest of this week we need everyone online to WvW. Fractals of the Mists will always be there, farming PvE stuff with always be there, sPvP will always be there. But this first time match against Sea of Sorrows will NOT and we cannot let them walk away with an easy victory.
I know at this point due to no-show over the weekend the point deficit may be too much to recover from, but as long as we keep the score close and maintain a higher PPT than Sea of Sorrows for the remainder of this match we can still hold on to the #1 rank.
To those on SoS who think they are doing great, you have not faced anyone in Tier 1 so far, it’s been PvDoor since Friday night as everyone has been far more interested in Karka than they have been in WvW. Even if we lose this week due to the PvE event you will see the true might of both SBI and JQ next week when we crush you in the rematch!
Eh, your signature says you play in Crystal Desert. Woopsy!
I’ve been pleased with how mature most of the players from SB and JQ have been. I respect them as people and as opponents. If we’re all in Tier 1, it’s safe to say that it implies we’re all good at WvW. And do you honestly think that our server didn’t have its fair share of people dry humping the one-time PVE event?
Maybe we can find a sponsor and do an “Excuse of the Week” segment on You Tube.
To quote Bad Boys II, “kitten just got real.” Supply camps are the new Normandy Beach.
it will be Monday in Australia when it is Sunday in the US that is when Sea of Sorrows will go down hill even trying to night cap
If everything Daish said about his own server were true, we’d be in Tier 26. Daish, you’re a pretty decent strategist, but you have the people skills of a birthing rhinoceros. Thankfully, we’ve somehow tripped, fell, and miraculously landed in Tier 1 despite all of the things you say about us.
Congratulations. Glad to see all these servers fall down the ranks while you gobble up the players and guilds in their wake. Tier 1… You earned it. When you fall back down, I am guessing we at Maguuma will give you special attention.
Oh my God, I’m so scared. Oh wait, this is a video game.
The Tool Kit skill, #5.
They have to be standing on the ledge, but I’ve yanked five down in the last 15 minutes. Something to be happy about.
Is anyone else on SoS kinda worried about our push into tier 1 most likely coming right alongside a semi major PVE update, based around the crucial time of the weekend.
I think that applies to everyone involved in the match. Thing is, aside from pride, you get nothing for winning, and aside from a bruised ego, you’re not penalized for losing. If the event distracts us as a server to the point that we get steamrolled, there’s always next week.
I love winning and all, but when there’s no reward or incentive other than high-fiving other people, it’s whatever.
A forced map-view would be perfect. There’s no sound reason why anyone should be allowed to corpse scout.
It’s been said multiple times, siege isn’t invulnerable…
Nope, but the 30 players standing next to that treb sure are!
Precisely my point. It’s a tad bit more difficult to take down the treb when all those players are raining down death on you. You ’re forced to take drastic losses when taking down the treb.
SOR built a treb in the invulnerable spot by their Citadel at about 10:30AM CT, something that ANet has clearly and repeatedly said is an exploit.
Ya know, the reason why our guild (and some other original SoS guilds) rolled on this server was in hopes of having round-the-clock WvW coverage. It certainly didn’t go that way for the first month due to lack of NA coverage, but it’s worked itself out.
I understand people being angry because a guild on your server sought greener pastures after launch, but original SoS guilds are just guilty of better planning.
They’re making progress because more than likely a good chunk of SoS stopped giving a crap given the score and the reset tomorrow. Good night to catch up on my DVR queue.
I’ve seen PRX have to move between battlelands all the time because the rest of SoS isnt there when we start taking over battlelands Celeron
Various guilds have jumped to various BLs depending on circumstances. While PRX is certainly an efficient guild, it takes more than one guild to win, and win consistently. I find it rather amusing that I see the same server making statements about SOS being carried by PRX or that our players stink individually, but I also see the same server posting about how their own folks don’t know how to retreat, hold key points, or otherwise PVP well.
I certainly don’t want to weaken our position by pointing out flaws that could be fixed, but while I’m sure our people have made mistakes, I’ve seen some pretty laughable mistakes on the other side of the fence as well.
Helluva great match up this week, SOR and IOJ are bringing it. Definitely the best fight we at SOS have experienced.
I’m on the Sea of Sorrows server. I’ve visited various cities, and the event that leads to killing the Baron hasn’t for hours, possibly since last night.

It can be easily fixed by allowing only one person to rez you or making the timer the same for everyone regardless of how many people are helping. I agree that a zerg makes combat rezzing a bit ridiculous. Only allowing one person to rez would give tiny group of defenders a fighting chance to eliminate the zerg dry humping their walls.
hey hey …hey guys. SOS had zero queue times last night
Very good battles had fun DB kicked kitten Maguuma Kicked kitten We had alliances people jumping borderlands trying to dmg control was full of fun now give us our orbs back k thx bye.
Yes, forgot to touch on this subject. On Friday, we had a longish queue, maybe 20-30 minutes during NA peak time. Since then, zero queue. Sorry to disappoint.

Read it all, outstanding suggestions, hopefully some of these ideas are already in the works. As it stands, WvW is fun, but once the landslide begins, there’s honestly zero point in participating on the losing end. When you’re 50K points in the whole and don’t own a single orb, time to go catch up on Homeland or Fringe.
Eh, attempting an attention grabbing post to attract EU guilds? Kudos for creativity. But seriously Euro peeps, if we can establish a moderate presence from 12pm to 7pm ET, we’d be dominant round the clock.
Yeah, the whole “art will be ruined” argument is laughable. You can’t appreciate the game because of the current FOV. You need Vistas to be able to appreciate it. I mean, WvW is broken in so many ways already that FOV giving players an advantage sounds ridiculous.
1) performance: would rather a small performance drop than headaches
2) art suffers/fisheye effect: BS having seen triple moniter set ups it look more amazing than ever, as for fisheye that only happens at high FOV (<100)
3) gameplay suffers because positional awareness becomes less necessary in a game where combat is greatly designed around positioning.: Ah the good ole pvp reason. why is this all you have? Once again by using a workaround via the windowed mode (reducing the vert size) you increase the fov or by using eyeinfinity (or the thing that shall not be named)
ALLOWING people to play the game comfortably ie without nausea or headaches should be way more important than these ‘reasons’.
While I haven’t had issues with GW2 I have had it in other games, I would get very bad headaches and feel nauseous in the worst cases. I have always had this problem, most of the time it is first-person games but there are a few 3rd-person ones as well most notably KOA:R which I was going to buy day1 but after playing the demo for 5-mins I felt very ill, so I didn’t buy the game until 2 things happened a 3rd party fix and a sale.
The lesson here is that it’s important to have the income to buy the hardware which will allow you to increase FOV and not get banned. I’m pretty stunned at how little ANet appears to care about a considerable amount of their clients having serious medical issues while playing their game. The game that supposedly puts players first. Not so much.
Jon, I appreciate your response, but it doesn’t change the fact that there are people out there that DO have the ability to obtain a better FOV if they have the money to do so. You can’t detect it, you can’t ban it, and the rest of us are left to suffer for it.
As I’m sure you’re aware, there are various mods that would allow players to increase their FOV, but we’d presumably be banned for using them. So is the lesson here that if you have the money, feel free to exploit the game? Or will you step up and do something to level the playing field for the rest of us?
I’m not sure if there’s already a solution for this in place, so I’ll ask. I have two Rings and Accessories with the same name. Whenever I swap my PVP / PVE sets, I can right-click and Equip all the items in my bags, and they’ll replace whatever I’m currently wearing, except for my second ring and second accessory. The game appears to continuously try to swap out the similar rings/accessories for each other, but not the items I’m trying to replace.
Could we please get “equip in secondary ring slot” and “equip in secondary accessory slot” options when right clicking rings and accessories?

My apologies if this is the wrong forum to post this in; I couldn’t decide which would be best. I’ve heard a few people say that ANet may be working on allowing guilds to transfer servers with influence and upgrades intact. Is there any truth to this? If so, what’s the timeline for it?
A friend of mine started playing the game yesterday, so I decided to make him some weapons, all of which were 5th level. When I went to mail them to him, they all show as Soulbound by default. Is this really the policy? If so, why?
I’ve noticed that when you remove items with gems or runes on them, my stats go down by only the number on the item itself, not accounting for the gems or runes. Also, I’m getting the same XP with and without the food xp bonus active.
I opened an in-game ticket on this a few days ago, but wasn’t given a ticket number, so I’ve opened one on the web site:

I own two accounts. I was able to purchase gems a couple of days after launch on my other account, but I get a “Card Approval Failed” message on this account. I haven’t tried to purchase gems again on the other accounts because I don’t need them right now.
I own two accounts. I purchased gems a few days ago on my other account, but when I try to purchase gems on this account, I keep getting a “Card Approval Failed” message. I have more than enough funds to cover the cost, and I get the message when using three different cards associated with my name and billing address.
I’ve tried restarting the client and doing it again, but I get the same message. Is there some kind of restriction placed on using a credit card or billing information for more than one account?
