I could never play MMO, where:
1) Meeting another player in the same area is a nuisance to me, rather than a welcome sight
2) You have to pay monthly fee
These two I can agree on.
Monthly fees especially. I simply can’t see myself paying monthly again. That concept might have worked in the past when I played UO and with WoW in 2005, but not anymore.
I frequently experience this at various times. Sound disappears for a while, then it kind of fades in to normal again.
I encountered a bug in this mission where the objective of “Defending the haven from Sagum and his thralls” does not complete, even though all the thralls have been dispatched of, and Sagum being the only one left, has a spell making him immune to all damage for 23 hours, making it seemingly impossible to clear. Unless you wish to wait for 23 hours that is.
Attached screen shows all the NPC allies ganging up on Sagum but doing little good.

Of course. GW2 changes a lot of things but it also keeps many of the classic MMO aspects.
I wouldn’t have such a hard time adjusting to other MMOs.
I think the cost should be kept. both for teleporting to waypoints and repairing armor.
In most cases, it should sting a little when you die.
Probably seemed like a shady third party software to ANet, that connected to your network.
Just contact them and explain what it is you are using and see if they will allow it.
And if they won’t allow it, maybe it’s because it affects the GW2 server in some unstable way, who knows.
I’ve seen it and it’s a fine review.
Not so much an angry review though. :-)
I don’t understand why ppl find it so annoying. It takes less than a second to delete it. IMO it’s more annoying in map chat, but you can always turn that off too.
It’s annoying enough to want a filter implemented or something like it, to fix it.
I spam the gold sellers when I get bored. Just a repeated copy and paste message. They’ve stopped mailing me for the most part.
Hah! That’s a nice trick, I’ll try that myself when I get these spams in my mail.
BTW what do you guys choose as a reason when reporting gold sellers? I realize I’ve been choosing “scamming” but it may not be the most appropriate … ?
I started with “scamming”, but then changed to “spamming” as it seemed more appropriate.
I think either one works well though. It’s both scamming and spamming in my eyes.
And OP: I also report every gold seller i see in chat. I can’t think that ANet would see it negatively that people are reporting gold sellers, even if it is very frequently. So no need to worry I say, as long as the reports are appropriate.
