It’s rather unappealing reading all of these posts stating that either:

1) ANet created WvW to appeal to zergs
2) ANet needs to do something about zergs

I do not believe that ANet created WvW with zerging in mind, nor do I think they encourage it. People need to realize that the zerging of today is not developer created, but rather played created.

Put it in perspective. If you were back in high school, and you were approached by a group of 5 people that were being aggressive and hankering to fight, but you only had 1 friend with you, what would your next move be? More than likely if you are forced to fight, you’d look to even up the numbers so that you dont get slaughtered. Now apply this concept to WvW, because it is awfully similar. If you are being rushed by a group larger than yours, instinct is to either run, or gather enough forces to be able to combat the other groups numbers. This in itself develops zerging. Eventually each side will get more and more people on their side so that the odds of being run over by a potentially larger group will diminish.

Humans, as well as other animals in nature realize that there is safety in numbers, so next time you ask ANet to get rid of zerging, or blame them for the mindless zerg mentality that is WvW these days, maybe you should consider human instincts for once.

If you think my guild is talking about exploiting in guild chat, then I’m awfully sorry for you. Those people were not even in WvW. We had maybe ~15 people in WvW last night and we were either helping out in EB casually, or running around with TSym and seeing how they play. If we were exploiting, you would know.

Anybody know if the other BG guilds contemplating transferring have found a new home yet? Heard BG sent a couple of scouts to Kain/TC. Just wondering if any other servers have seen BG scouts?

Made another WvW friend today. Took a pic, dueled some and had fun.

Quick, hide that picture before BG thinks were allies!

Essentially this is what happens

-> 3 way battle in SMC in Eternal Battlegrounds
-> After 15 minutes of skill lag, a server caps it
-> Other servers clear out and skill lag ends
-> For about 5 minutes each server has INSANE attack speed

Maybe this is the server trying to ‘catch up’ after the insane skill lag? All we know is that we all had the ability to fight at like 200% quickness afterwards.

Doing Bounty and WvW tonight!

What do you expect? You expect there to be no cap so the massive JQ and BG forces can bring their entire server into WVW? The caps and queues are there to promote balanced matches.

Havent killed him character in a week, and on any character in ~2 days.

No chest.

That was pretty epic in SMC. Held off both JQ and BG at the same time for around ~30 minutes inside lords.

We had an AFS in our channel last night running around with us, I felt extremely stressed and in a position where I was forced to perform :’c

Kidding, but in all seriousness, if you want to be appreciated and supported while also giving us a much needed SEA boost, come down to Sanctum of Rall. The community, attitude, and ‘never give up’ ideology that we have will be in my opinion the best choice you can make. I dont know of any other server thats willing to wake up at 7 AM on the weekend just to support their oceanic and SEA population. On Sanctum of Rall, you will always have support and always be appreciated for the hard work you put in.

My guild is relatively new to the WvW scene on SoR and I can personally attest to the warm welcoming attitude that the other main guilds have displayed. If we’re running into trouble on a BL or in EB, other guilds are always willing to lend a helping hand and map hop to make sure we keep our objectives.

We would love to have you come aboard and work alongside our family.

We are not aiming to make a difference and blow our whistle to the world. We are just there to have competitive WvW. I think more then half of the people hear even haven’t heard of our guild as we like to keep things low key.

I think it is best we do not reveal our scouts, I do not want any people or server pulling an act(Burn out or all nighter) to prove a point and try to pull us to their server. We will go about this quietly as possible without causing any stress to any servers ^^.

Hey guys, you may have seen my general topic on Highline here. Basically, we’ve grown to capacity and we are working on trimming down the amount of members we have in our guild, mainly the inactives that ANet does not assist leaders with, as well as the few who dont rep (ever).

Last night, we discussed expanding and solidifying our WvW unit. We’ve made a commitment to finding support for the ~15 or so nightly WvW players in HL, and hopefully finding others who are committed to building something special.

We are looking for people who are not looking for an already established WvW guild with a set hierarchy and strict requirements. While we will heavily suggest you to be fully geared in exotics, we dont mind running dungeons and events and helping you get into the right gear.

Who our WvW unit is currently
- Sanctum of Rall
- Comprised of 15-20 players who run together, fight together, and die together (hopefully not THAT often xD)
- Labeled as the ‘Mercenary’ unit of Highline
- Mainly commanded by Guardian of Rall
- Using TeamSpeak for communication

Who we are looking for
- Those who want to help lay the foundation for something great
- Active WvW players and enthusiasts
- Anybody of any level of any gear (We dont mind helping you level and getting geared up!)
- Commanders. We currently have ~5 commanders, but most of them are still learning techniques which means I am forced to lead most of the events
- Helpful, friendly, capable people. We all need to operate as one unit.

Professions we specifically need more of
- Staff Elementalists
- Mesmers
- Necros

However, we welcome ALL professions

Had a lot of fun tonight. BG snagged ogrewatch from us, and while 15 of them were busy on the walls shooting down at the SoR outside, we ninjad inside and took the tower right under their noses and before they could even notice.

Was quite hilarious and fun!

I totally understand SoR’s position this week, just head hunting to try to stay in Tier 1, even though they don’t belong here, as their score keeps showing they just don’t have the coverage to compete. I would think that if they where really double teaming BG because a few guilds on our server ran their mouth, that they would negotiate a place in second. Unfortunately not the case, so who knows what is really happening behind the scenes. But there you go, SoR 0 ppt, 11pm server time.

I read all the bad talk about BeastGate, and I am not going to respond to it, I just want to point out that we took on the #1 server in north america, we are fighting off their pet dogs at the same time and we still hold a strong second position in Tier 1, good job to everybody on BG that is spending so many hours every day in WvW to make the difference, and to all of our commanders out there, and all of our amazing WvW guilds that fight regardless of what anybody says.

Can’t wait until we push SoR into the tier they belong in and we match up with Kaineng again. I’ve been missing me some War Machine fights.

If you’re in WvW, expect to get hit. There are no ‘truce zones’ in my opinion at least. Everybody is fair game :/

I work full time in EST, usually play during the 9PM to 1AM slot, weekend hours are random, but I average about 20 to 25 hours per week. I like both WvW and PvE, but currently focus on PvE content for ascended gears, and love the new guild mission contents.

Just had our first official WvW outing. We had around 30-35 of us running around through Eternal Battlegrounds, and we actually did quite well and took Stonemist from Jade Quarry. Was tons of fun!

Took my guild out to EB for our first organized WvW trip. Thanks to the 30-35 of us that showed up and all of the others that helped us take SMC and hold it for a few hours. Looking forward to doing more WvW soon
