So I remember a couple weeks ago BSty came on the forums complaining about people not playing fair and bringing in more people to fight them and so on… well BSty/AD, this is why no one cares. Me and my roaming buddy somehow keep getting shafted by 5+ of you guys. Even when we hit a group of 10 EB you guys come in from the side and target me (3rd SS). Nice moves. I can feel all respect for other roamers just flowing like a river. Even when we seemingly get a honest 2v2, one of u die, you start to lose and the rest of you jump in. Referring to the fight we had SE of bay (1st SS). Maybe its becuz me and my friend were going to beat you guys 2v5 by hills… yeah a few other BP guys showed up but technically that just made it a even fight (2nd SS). Come on you are BSty/AD, you can handle 5 noobs that arent in TS together.

Anyways for some reason I keep thinking you guys are going to turn around your attitudes and actually be enjoyable to fight but I don’t think thats possible anymore. Stay classy.

I think the real thing we should focus on is that obviously every person here on BP told those guys to AC hack. I mean… the act of a few idiots clearly represents the whole right? We are all speed/zoom hacking hackers that hack. If you don’t like it, then go give your grandma a watermelon. (I will give you guys a heads up tho… BP is planning on a Sup AC raid on Eternal. We are setting up 80 ACs by spawn that can hit anywhere on the map. Let the bags flow!)

Sorry for all the sarcasm. I just don’t understand why people are still talking about this. Some kitten may have zoom hacked. Every server has those people. BP doesn’t condone this behavior but it happens. If you really have a kitten for getting this guy in trouble, talk to his guild. Doesn’t really matter if you cry on the forums about it.

It simply amazing me that people still make insanely ignorant and generalizing statements about servers. All servers have good and bad players. All servers have roamers and zerglings. And your ignorance makes you look especially bad considering I know many people that small group or solo roam that came to BP from HoD, including myself. So if we learned our “zerg builds” and “no skill” as roamers… it was because of HoD.

PS. Not going to claim that all HoD solo players do this but most I’ve seen do. Run and map to avoid 1 on 1 fights. Being from HoD I expected more. CD tho… those guys are tough… cuz they are determined to kill that solo roamer with 3-10 and not even attempt to show respect. I 1v1 and get killed by people standing by if I win. I get chased across the map by small groups/zergs. 3 people standing in their camp cuz they don’t want to fight just me… Fighting 3-6 people by myself and other groups of 5-15 decide to help pound me into the ground.

For the record, I’m not at all upset that I get killed by numbers. It happens, part of the game. What does upset me is the lack of respect people have.

I’m not talking about a specific event or a guild, but a general pattern. Walk in my shoes and you would understand what I’m talking about.

I would never stop where I’m going and change direction to chase after a single person in the middle ruins, moa him, and kill him with 10 just as an example. Yet, that has happened to me. Has it happened to you?

We generally lay off of people who we recognize as good players who consistently roam in small groups or solo roam if we outnumber them badly. We don’t lay off of people when we outnumber them if we’ve seen their tag running in a zerg or if they have kittened us off for some reason.

I’d just like to say this is complete poop. I’ve been running around solo during the day time and have been repeatedly crushed by 3-5 of your AD/btsy guys. And I’ve also been killed several times by you guys plus 5-10 randoms while solo. Did I run the to forums and point out what happened and how wrong it was? No, because there is no point. You guys don’t have any respect just like the people you are complaining about that supposedly call in and use more numbers.

I’ve been a small group/solo roamer for a long time. Trying to talk trash about being killed when outnumbered is just silly. Its just going to happen. Heck you should probably take it as a compliment that it takes that many to win. And if people trash talk against you in game or here, just ignore it. It really does not matter at all. You don’t have to come to the forums and fight about it.

Coming to the forums to post videos about other guilds you killed in mockery is just sad. It reeks of pretentiousness. You shouldn’t view yourself above others because of your skill level and you have no right to condemn people for playing the way they play, especially when it’s so hypocritical. Be respectful. Try telling them it was a tough fight and hope they improve to give you a more challenging fight next time.

Had some fun fights tonight on HoD BL against [Core] and [PPK]. We had 12-15 earlier in the night, but dropped down to 8-9 when you guys took Briar back with the break-out. (Siegerazor is OP) Unfortunately the BL flooded with more of your guys and then more of our guys. Hopefully we’ll get to fight some more against each other this week.

I remember my T1 days when every BL was permanently occupied by 3 servers and was a constant struggle for control. That made the BLs fun. Not this lower tier nonsense of occasional southern map fighting for a tower or camp, or complete faceroll zergs taking everything with little resistance and then leaving the map. There isn’t much fun in that. No fighting. Just yawning while you collect loot bags from npcs and get wxp.

I’ve beaten a few lone thieves with my engineer today… I love those glasscannon boys trying to break through my 3,5k armor while my turrets are mowing’em down.

I can usually handle any single thief that comes my way or at least get away from a few. But when you are fighting/running from 4-5 from one server and 3 from another server are nearby, things get difficult.

My personal view and critique of this matchup so far:

Kaineng fields huge numbers at times and runs those numbers tight together. Good control over your players. If they do get separated from the zerg tho, they will be eaten quickly and usually without a fight. A few players here or there can hold their own. Kaineng does has one or two good duo/trio teams, but they are mostly glass cannons that fight as opportunists, not straight forward. Also there seems to be a lot of warriors that have excelled at the art of running away (but lets face it, that’s something on every server). To the [Ai] warrior with the pink mustache, I hear you only fight people you know you can beat. Sorry to disappoint you good fight tho.

ET, old pal. You have grown stronger. Your zergs are getting quite large. More often I find myself yelling “holy kitten massive ET group run for your life!” Good to see you guys get some muscle again. IoM has potential I guess. One or two good players stand out. I hoped they would be more into fighting fair and not always in larger groups but alas I am left disappointed. Either way had some fun fights with them. BS seems to be up to the usual antics with a bit more thieves and spawn camping. I still have never seem them lose a random, even open field fight more than twice and come back with the same numbers and classes. They have skill, just silly how they use it. More of a fight with mechanics advantage than skill play style. Smart maybe, but silly. Other than that, I do enjoy fighting ETs random underleveled groups. Easier kills, but you got balls.

HoD is pretty unchanged it seems. Lots of Pavilion farming. I see more numbers in there than wvw but somehow we are still doing alright. Would like to see more solo duo roamers tho. Nice to have friends show up when you’re in a pinch (more specifically friends that don’t immediately get killed). I saw Battlecamp today, looks like I have reclaimed the curse of having him on whatever BL I choose to go to. VSL is a new guild that has promise. Been fun running with them a few nights.

Et doesnt seem to have the issues with numbers that people have complained about I watched a 30+ man zerg on at a time when neither of the other 2 servers had 10 on the map. The ET zerg managed to take 1 tower and 2 camps and then lost them within 10 mins. This ET zerg spent at least 15 mins chasing our 3 man XOXO group around and failing to log any kills and getting us 20 stacks on our sigils. They chose to chase u instead of taking an unguarded Bay.

The more I play against ET the more I realize it isn’t solely a numbers issue. Running from even number fights, chasing small groups with 30 man zergs, and making no effort to use their players in an efficient manner to gain more points.

Your server could have twice its current population and without upgrading the quality of players you will always be bottom bracket server.

You of all people should realize that it’s really not that difficult to run away from the standard zerg in this game when outfitted with an evasive, indirect-combat build. Heck even against a handful of excellent players, a hard to catch build with a skilled player controlling it can take 5-10m to be killed, if you don’t choose to escape combat all together.

But, I do agree about the skill level of most players. Even with zergs there is a certain amount of skill required to not be just a mass of loot bags running around for people collect. Also a certain amount of common sense to stop chasing 3 people with a zerg when you could be focusing your efforts elsewhere.

Well after not reading the forums in a couple days there was a bit to catch up on, very amusing stuff. [Mend] I want to give ya props for crashing Fight Club and making all those poor people QQ cuz they got killed in open world pvp, unexpectedly of course cuz these rules they make obviously should be followed by everyone without their consent.

Also I learned HoD roamers are trash cuz another roamer died to a some people. In particular a warrior who this person had beat solo, but later died to said warrior when other HoD were around. Its clear and obvious that the HoD called in back up to kill you, not randomly meeting those other HoD at your location cuz thats just not possible. I mean, the odds are astronomical that more than one HoD player could be where you at the same time. He must have had a revenge kitten for you.

Seems to me people just have a problem with being killed when its inconvenient . As a wise man once said:

No but in all honestly as things currently stand KoM is better than us. We recently lost a guy to another guild, have another one on vacation, and a few other members having a mid Guild Wars 2 life crisis. So for the immediate future I would be much more concerned with KoM than PAXA.The baby’s all grown up ;p

(and truthfully I have a very hard time believing a coordinated KoM group would loose to anything less than a SPCA/SPLT/TM or BTSY group)

Pretty sure the closest we got to an open field fight was when you guys decided to leave your cannons and mortars in bay and finally pushed into vale after a few NSP got into the back of the camp which distracted us from you DR. And at this point you had slightly more numbers than us.

Well I guess the other open field fight was just north of center island by the water where we mopped the floor with you. As I remember it, after I stomped you there was an immediate port to spawn. I guess you were too embarrassed getting kill by such a terrible guild like KoM. Or you were mad that you let yourself get caught in open field where you couldn’t run away to a keep/tower at the slightest sign of danger like you had the last hour or so. Mesmers like you really amuse me. Sitting in the back the whole time really doing nothing but being ready to run away.

I think this is all just a classic case of nerd frustration. Its ok Canuck, breathe and relax. We might have killed your friends a lot last night but fret not, there are plenty of underleveled noobs from HoD to kill to make you feel better.

KoM has achieved the title of best roaming guild NA in my book. Wins 6v3 fights for 10 minutes, loses when it becomes 6v5. Farms 25 stacks and brings in 4 more people, wins 10v4 until it becomes 10v6 and loses, goes back to farming coyotes for stacks again. If that isnt the definition of a top tier roaming guild, I dont know what is.

There has been a large amount of unnecessary boasting and blanket put downs to each other in this match up. And you provoked a lot of it. You might not have said exactly what I sarcastically mocked you with, but thats pretty much how you come off. What did you expect to happen? There is always someone louder and more obnoxious than you, someone more skilled, someone with greater numbers or ability. No point in gloating that you happened to have a bigger kitten than the people you just encountered when you haven’t fought everyone.

Yes because skill = PPT… everyone knows that.

For example, 3 of us take the closest tower in IoJ bl. 10 minutes later a group of 20 IoJ zerg it and reclaim it. We get 5 in group and wipe said zerg away from the tower, admittedly they did lose some numbers tho. We go back to the tower, and kill everyone that dares step out the door till 15 IoJ are inside and can’t come out. Skill = PPT obviously.

BTW, that necro major seems to laugh at most people he manages to kill when outnumbering them. People dying when outnumbered… seems like something that deserves laughing at…

You can combine this or any other thief elite skill with 6 x Lyssa runes. When you activate your elite you get all the boons and cleanse off all the conditions as well. Thief has 2 low cooldown elites, dagger storm and basilisk venom. So Lyssa runes work well with a thief.

But I agree a lot of thief abilities are interlinked with stealth. You get better condition removal (in fact one of the best condition removals in the game for any profession) during stealth, also pretty kitten nice healing, faster movement speed, ability to do mroe damage and so on. Stealth is very powerful. Sadly Arenanet designed it so that there are no hard counters, besides those anti-stealth traps, which are even broken at the moment. Thus there will continue to be lots of QQ about stealth.

Those things you mentioned have nothing to do with a thief’s ability to stomp beyond runes of lyssa for the protective boons. But if you are going to blow an elite for a stomp, you might as well use Mist Form or Elixer S since people were saying you wouldn’t waste that long of a cd for a stomp.

Yes let’s take away stealth stomps so low HP pool, generally squishy thieves have to be completely vulnerable while the ~3s stomp animation goes off. Thats fair too.

Even if you have CC, other classes like engi and Ele will just Mist Form/ Elixer S stomp you and laugh when you try to CC them where stealth stomping leaves you quite vulnerable. But, healing downed allies is the thing thats really OP. One person rezzing will save an ally b4 a non quickness stomp can go off, if both the stomp and rez starts at the same time. So your friend thats scratching his head at what he should do to save you from being stealth stomped is just … well I’ll leave the colorful adjectives and pronouns up to your imagination.

Different Rank finishers would be sweet as well. Pay for them with Badges.

i think the guy in chat who i responded to had a KoM tag, but i’m not 100% certain.

None of those names are in Krewe of Misfits, but there is another KoM on HoD. Don’t remember what their guild was tho.

On the topic of BC, I won’t say I hated him… but I sure was getting tired of him roaming a BL with every HoD person there just to flip camps, dying 3 seconds into a fight, trying to out dps the cannon thats shooting him, never listening to KoM when we created an opening for Bay or something, and haunting us with his presence on every BL we went to.

Not sure if this has been suggested before. but I think it would be an awesome addition if Anet created Guild Finishers that could be acquired for coin or Karma, or even somehow generated with guild influence. The animation would be the Guild Emblem with the Guild tag above or underneath it.

I loved some of the Aetherblade weapons that people had found in game item codes for previews. It would be awesome if they got added into the game for us to get. Not sure if this is going to happen in the future already, or how hard it would be to add in.

I truly wish we could get away from HOD. Nothing like us having the outmanned on EB and HOD still has to be lame enough to send 14 golems to take our keep. What a seriously pathetic server. All I could see was a wave of red like HOD was on it’s period.

Its hilarious to me when people post stuff like this. HoD QQ! Zergs and numbers QQ! Same thing happens to us when we get put up against servers like BP. Which they were so bored of outnumbered us, they built like 30 Omega Golems and pillaged our remaining land for fun. Don’t call the server pathetic. Blame Anet for making this wack system.

Or your server could stop being such cowards and stop only fighting the the lowest pop server. Apparently SF is to much of an even fight for you that you avoid them and resort to fighting a server with 1/3rd the pop. While yes Anet did this screwed up MM system it’s HOD that is showing how lame they are in their gameplay.

I feel skilled that I can provoke people to say such idiotic things that even HoD commanders must reply to. Nem, you are right tho. We came back and took the lead in score cuz we have been hitting only ET lands…
